Morgrim sighs, deciding it best to tell Hiebe the truth of the matter. He explains the armour and its magical properties and his reasons for being in Kal'Dwain. Not only was Hiebe a Lord of the Dwarves but also a trained mage, possibly having more knowledge than he on the mysterious stones, used to create the armour. Morgrim nods to Hiebe upon giving his explanation, bidding him farewell and once again setting off along the deep roads, towards Anart.

Sabet, 7th of Snows Maiden, Year 54

Morgrim makes his way up the long staircase into Kal'Anart, his armour weighing down heavily upon him. He glances up at the night sky as he continues ascending, the cold air brushing against his face, giving him some comfort after his tiresome journey home. He calls for the guard on duty to open the gate who immediately recognises the Dwarf's voice and grants the Dwarf entry into the Hold. Morgrim passes through the market district and up into the inner section of the Hold, where he once again, pushes open the iron doors to the smithy and makes his way down into bowels of the mountain where the Grandaxe forge lies. Awaiting him is his Uncle, an elderly looking Dwarf by the name of Skath Grandaxe. He tilts his head to his uncle, before removing the respiratory system and diagram from the satchel, placing them down upon the table.

"Uncle, ah 'ave a request, a request t'at ye must tell nay un but ye n' ah. T'ere beh only a few ot'ers 'o know wut weh beh doin' 'ere. T'is 'ere beh a respiratory system t'at weh 'ave replicated frum t'e technology discovered in t'e Teuton armour weh were given. Weh now know t'at t'e armour must beh airtoight n' made uv t'e foinest Dwarven steel. Ah wish fer ye tae smit' t'e armour n' build t'is system intae it so t'at our lads will beh protected frum t'e pink fogs uv 'anseti."

Skath lifts his goggles up onto his forehead, glancing down at the diagram. He rubs his chin with his stubby fingers and gives Morgrim a nod. "It will beh difficult indeed, but aye, it can beh done." Morgrim takes a few steps back, allowing his Uncle to continue on with his work. The distinct sound of hammering and the crashing of steel can be heard throughout the hold that night.

Bruce walks by the Grandaxe forge, and stops. He hears a loud clanking of metals, also the sound of a hammer. Bruce sighs, wishing someday to be able to go into the Grandaxe forge, as he is a smith himself.

Tolta, 10th of Snows Maiden, Year 54

Skath stands as he reads over the notes of the dissected armor. Reviewing every botch of ink and studies the prototype helm until it is ingrained in his memory. After surveying all the knowledge of the helm as he could, he prepares himself and his workbench with the necessary tools and instruments. He starts heating the furnaces and begins to focus himself toward the many tireless hours to come forth.

He first places iron into the furnaces until he could see a bright red hue glowing from the metal. Upon extracting the iron with large tongs he carries it to the large Anart anvil. He then hammers on the metal profusely until the iron begins to take the shape of a odd looking helm. This helm had was sightly larger than other helms, covered the entire head with no openings; save the eyes and holes at the cheeks, and had a bulge in the region of the mouth would be. When the hot iron is in the final shape, Skath dips it into a large barrel of water. Steam hovers above the barrel as the helm is withdrawn. He takes the helm over to his workbench and begins to fit the eye sockets with glass and adheres them to the metal. Then Skath takes a leather cap and lines it inside of the helm, while also connecting small intricate cylinders, that will house the filters, into the bulged area of the helm. With the cylinders in place, as well as the leather cap, he adds adhesive to them and makes a seal between them. He then adds a large round sheet of metal and adheres it to the inside of the base of the leather. Skath looks over the the helm and adds more metal to the more vulnerable parts of the helm. When the helm is completed to satisfaction, he sets it on his workbench and starts to work on the rest of the armor.

Skath once again begins to feed his furnaces and heating ingots of iron. One by one he takes the iron to the anvil and strikes the iron repeatedly, until he has a full set of iron armor that is slightly larger than normal. He starts the process of adhering leather to the inside of the metal. Then he adheres more round metal strips to the inside of each end of leather. At this time Skath has all the makings of the new armor only dismantled. He methodically places each part of the suit together; boot to shin guard, shin guard to thigh guard, and so on. When everything is in place Skath begins to tie leather straps where the metal of each end of each piece of armor connect, making an air tight seal.

Looking over the final product he feels that this suit will be efficient for repelling the toxic air of Hanseti. Skath tests the suit by lighting a small fire and capturing the smoke in one of the boots and reattaches it to the rest of the armor, while also covering the breathing holes. Skath was overjoyed as he saw no smoke emerge from the armor. With the success of the experiment he releases the smoke and cleans the new suit. And the first suit of Passage armor is born.

Joma, 20th of the Second Seed, Year 55

Almost an entire year since the first stage of the armour's construction, Morgrim had ensured that it had been studied extensively by the finest engineers, blacksmiths and mages in the Dwarven Empire. No flaw had yet been found and yet within him, he still felt that something was missing. Why had no other attempted to have the armour replicated in such a way? Was there more to this cloud than what had been originally believed? He often shrugged the thoughts off his mind and yet something still troubled him. Would the armour work or was he sending these Dwarves to their doom? Tests conducted on discovering whether the cloud would penetrate the steel had suggested the armour would withstand it but despite everything, something still felt wrong.

Ahad, 22nd of the Second Seed, Year 55

Morgrim accompanied by the Paragon, Kjell Ireheart, continue picking at the entrance into the former, Mount Ire deep roads, a most vexing task for Dwarves more fit for battle than manual labour. After a few hours of excavating the small area, they finally make a hole, large enough for the two Dwarves to squeeze through. The deep roads, a project built during the rise of the Dwarven Empire had long been used by the Dwarves as travel system between the Holds. It had come to the attention of Kjell that the Dwarves would seek help from the Doomforge in order to ensure that the armour they had created was fit for passage through the fogs of Hanseti. It was possible that these Doomforge truly held the key to what the Dwarves needed. Kjell makes his way past the tunnels, labelled 'Kal'Anart,' 'Kal, Dwain' and 'Kal'Mugdor' before they reach an unmarked tunnel, one that had clearly not been used for many years.

"T'is beh it, lad, t'e route tae t'e Doomforged." says Kjell as he points into the seemingly never ending darkness of the tunnel that lays before him. "But watch yeself... T'ese lads beh trickeh... Let meh do t'e talkin'..." Morgrim remains silent and nods, his own inexperience with races beyond the Dwarven lands, clearly quite evident.

The Dwarves lift themselves up into mine carts, before pulling the lever, a sudden force pushing them forward along the tracks. It was at the end of this tunnel that Morgrim finally discovered the home of the Doomforge. "Welcome tae Asgol!" Kjell yells out as the momentum on the carts begins to lessen and a sudden light appears at the end of the tunnel. The two Dwarves make their way out of the mine carts, a chill running through them that they had not usually felt within the Dwarven lands. Before them, an odd creature stands, physically Dwarven in appearance, except for a distinct darkened hue to the skin. He hammers at the anvil, before turning his head towards the intruders.

"Wut dae ye tu wunt?" says Yorri, a distrustful glare forming across his face. Kjell speaks up "Doomforge, ah'm sure ye 'ave seen t'e cloud t'at 'as covered t'e surface uv 'anseti. T'e bot' uv us would loike tae know wut magics ye possess w'ich moight repel t'e effects uv t'e cloud..." He points to the suit Morgrim is wearing, as the young Overseer stands silently, viewing the two converse. Yorri does not break his glare and says in an ever more cynical tone "N' day ye 'ave t'e compensation?" Kjell nods "Blud n' flesh frum t'e Teutons n' Uruk 'o 'ave perished in t'e recent wars... T'at well bae ye compensation."

Morgrim slowly begins to step out of the newly forged armour, before setting it down before the Doomforge. Yorri kneels down besides the armour and looks up at the two Dwarves, a sudden grin forming across his face. "Ah t'ink ah may 'ave somet'in' t'at can 'elp ye..."

Itnan, 23rd of The Second Seed, Year 55

Yorri begins executing tests on the bokkanym, modifying his original Kathiik, the rune of defense. Knowing that the pale-skinned dwarves would not be interested in flesh runes, he heads into his home where he directs his attention to the old carvings on the wall. The carvings indicate how to execute the Kathiik on armor and not the flesh, something that is not practiced frequently in Doomforged culture as they see carving into the flesh as more pure. His mind now refreshed with past teachings, Yorri heads back to the forge where he crafts the rune into the armor given to him by Morgrim and Kjell.

"Vokron A’... Doshtiik vakna... Erronok thiik... Arroka vok... Kroniz erkan vodozk."

"Brother of blood... Runes bestow our hearts... Under the runic sun... In pride and skill... Atake your brothers with the might of your shield."

With a finished armor set on the anvil, he heads into the caves and orders the largest bokkanym he finds to come with him. Equipping the bokkanym with the set of armor as best it could fit, he sends the Bokkanym out of Asgol into the pink-smoke infested outside lands. The Bokkanym returns after a small period of exposure as ordered, appearing still sane (for a bokkanym) and alive (although the bokkanym shows that the unsnug armor gave him quite a rash). Yorri sees it as a success but does not show it. Removing the bokkanym from the armor, he lets a quick smirk come across his face in anticipation of all the Teuton flesh and blood they are to receive from this agreement. The armor was truly complete.

Dom approaches the edge of pink fog, a pig in a leather airtight body suit with a breathing mask being led by a rope. Stopping, Dom pulls a bundle of wheat from his pack at tosses it into fog. slowly the pig wanders after the wheat. After a few moments the pig begins to squeal loudly as if in pain. Dom the begins pulling hard on the rope. as the pig emerges from the dog Dom sees that it is dead. He removes the mask and notices the plagued and infected corpse. Returning to his workshop, Dom opens up the breathing cylinder and removes the mechanism. Inspecting the mechanism and comparing it to the original he notices that several components were in the wrong places and that is why the mask didn't work.

Ahad, 8 of the Snow Maiden, Year 54

Dom approaches the edge of pink fog again, a new pig in a new leather airtight body suit with a breathing mask being led by a rope. Stopping, Dom pulls a bundle of wheat from his pack at tosses it into fog. slowly the pig wanders after the wheat. Listening quietly, Dom hears the a sharp grinding noise and the cracking noise followed by the pigs squealing that ends abruptly. Pulling on the rope Dom pulls the dead body of the pig from the mist. Opening the cylinder Dom sees the ruined mechanism. Removing the mask Dom sets of to his workshop. Setting the mechanism on his desk. Inspecting the broken mess, Dom notices several cracked and broken gears. Comparing the broken gears to their original counter part he sees that some were too big and others were too small for the them to work and that caused the mechanism to break.

Ahad, 15 of the Snow Maiden, Year 54

Yet again, Dom approaches the pink mist another unfortunate pig in a suit being pull along. Throwing another bundle of wheat into the mist Dom prays to the Gods that the breather works this time. The pig eagerly follows the wheat. After several moments without any squealing, Dom pulls the pig, out of the fog. Removing the suit, Dom inspects the pig and sees the signs of afflictions of the mist. Opening the mask open he sees that the mask appeared to have worked but didn't filter the mist. Kicking the pig corpse out of anger, He storms back to his workship. Sitting in his workshop drinking some ale, he is struck with the idea. If we can't filter the air we need to breath other air. Charging onto his ship, he throws a chest open in his cabit and pulls out an slightly worn diving helm.

Ahad, 15 of the Snow Maiden, Year 54

Another pig in tow and the diving pump in hand, he approaches the edge of the mist. He sets down the pump and throws a bundle of wheat into the mist. He begins pumping fresh air through the tube into the suit. The pig walks into the mist for several minutes before Dom pulls him out. Removing the suit he sees that the pick is in perfect health. Setting the pig free Dom sets of to Kal' Anart to tell Skath to start help him to make this new breathing system.
