Edict of Avalon

Issued and confirmed by His Imperial Majesty the Holy Emperor of Oren, Godfrey I

At the will of His Imperial Majesty the Holy Emperor Godfrey I, His Highness the Imperial Prince Richard Horen, Guardian of the People, and Duke of Marna is hereby proclaimed Archduke of Avalon, a title to be held by him and his legitimate issue in trust to the Imperial Crown of Oren.

At the will of His Imperial Majesty the Holy Emperor Godfrey I, the duchies of Marna, Eyreside, and Pruvia are hereby collected under the Archduchy of Avalon to be governed in trust to the Imperial Crown of Oren by His Illustrious Grace the Archduke of Avalon.

Section I

Powers and Obligations of the Archduke of Avalon

The Archduke of Avalon is entrusted with the Duchies of Marna, Eyreside, and Pruvia. The Title Archduke of Avalon accords the holder certain powers and obligations, as declared in trust by His Imperial Majesty the Holy Emperor Godfrey I. They are as follows.



  • The Duty to manage the affairs of the regions entrusted to him by the Imperial Crown, in a manner consistent with the Emperor’s Peace.
  • The Power to declare Nobility in the regions entrusted to him, in accordance with his duties as Archduke of Avalon.
  • The Duty to manage the revenues of the regions entrusted to him by the Imperial Crown, in a manner consistent with the Emperor’s Peace.
  • The Power to place levies and tithes upon residents of the regions entrusted to him, in accordance with his duties as Archduke of Avalon.
  • The Duty to protect the Archduchy of Avalon from foreign invasion and civil unrest, in a manner consistent with the Emperor’s Peace.
  • The Power to direct the forces and call the bannermen of the Archduchy of Avalon in accordance with his duties as Archduke of Avalon.
  • The Duty to maintain Law, Order, and Justice in the Archduchy of Avalon, in a manner consistent with the Emperor’s Peace.
  • The Power to place judgement upon criminals in the Archduchy of Avalon, in accordance with his duties as Archduke of Avalon.
