How old are you?:

I am fourteen years old. I realize that many of my peers are immature, but I take stride in maintaining a high level of maturity. I also consider myself to be less "silly" thank many of my peers.

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

I live on the West Coast of the United States, so my timezone is PST (GMT -8.)

Do you have a good grip on English grammar and the English language?:

Yes, I have an "A" in Honors English at my local high school, which is one of the top in the state, so I believe that I am quite capable at writing intelligently in the English language.

Have you had any previous experience in roleplaying?:

As roleplaying is one of my favorite past times, I have of course played on other roleplaying games. I was first introduced to RPGs a couple of years ago when my friend brought a DnD gaming set. We played around for a while, and our game failed utterly, but I had gotten a taste of roleplaying and I wanted more. Next, I played a game called Space Station 13, which was a 2d spaceman simulator. I played mainly on the Baystation12 server which was devoted to hardcore, serious RP. When another friend introduced me to Minecraft, I looked for a Minecraft RP server and stumbled upon Lord of the Craft.

Have you read and understood and agree to the rules?:

I have read the rules multiple times and agree to follow them. I believe that they are simply common sense and any intelligent person would follow them in heart.

How did you hear about the Lord of the Craft?:

As I said previously, I was simply looking for a Minecraft roleplaying server. I typed "best minecraft roleplay server" into my browser, and ended up with Lord of the Craft and a satisfied craving for roleplaying.

In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is:

Roleplaying essentially means that one is changing one's behavior to match a theoretical character. The player takes what they know about the character to act out what the theoretical character would do in certain situations. In simple terms, it basically means to pretend to be someone else in a game.

In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is:

The act of metagaming is when a player uses "out-of-character" knowledge, or knowledge that they IRL have, to influence the actions and knowledge of an "in character" character.

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is:

The act of power-emoting is when a player uses emotes incorrectly to force other players into certain actions, without giving them the chance to act. For example, instead of emoting "McBandit attempts to stab McVictim," the player would emote "McBandit stabs McVictim with the knife in the heart, killing him instantly."

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

Iskandar groans, rubbing the grime from his dusty brown eyes. He folds his dusty cloak and wraps it around him to protect from the cold. As he watches the morning sun rise, he contemplates his previous life. He remembers a grinning, friendly young adult with chocolate-brown hair and the beginnings of a bushy beard. The teenager has the typical build of a blacksmith: average height and muscular arms.

Iskandar was born in a small farming village on the borders of the Wilds. Life was happy and relatively peaceful, disregarding the occasional bandit raid. His parents were not rich, yet not poor. His father was blacksmith, forging farm tools and picks for the local residents. His mother was a relatively unskilled herbalist, barely managing to cure the basic ailments of the villagers. As a child, Iskandar and his companions would romp through the outskirts, play ball in the fields, run away from angry farmers, and listen to stories in the local eatery. At night, when all the children were to be in bed, he would sneak out of bed and peer out of his window into the night. Beyond the fortified walls, he could see the Wilds, teeming with life...and danger. Even as a child, a seed of curiosity was planted within.

Iskandar's childhood was uneventful. He was raised well, strong and healthy from his father, and a relatively sharp mind, like his mother. His parents decided that he was to continue his father's work as a blacksmith and, of course, remain stranded in the tiny village for the entirety of his days. An obedient child, he agreed to allow his father to train him in the art of smithing. However, the seed of curiosity sown within was know a sapling, yearning to see the world. As Iskandar matured, his relationship with his parents worsened. He began to question their judgement, wondering if they were really the enlightened people he had always thought them as. When Arjun was 21, his parents told him that he had to leave the household and make his own life in the world. He took this chance to leave the tiny village that had been his home for years, and explore the world. He grabbed his pack and sword and hit the road with an open mind and a kind heart.

What are your characters ambitions?:

Arjun biggest desire is to travel the world, meet new people, and settle down somewhere exciting. He also has a side goal of joining the army to see the world for a good cause.

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character:

Arjun is a pretty friendly guy. He's openminded to new things. His only flaws are that he is very ignorant of the outside world, having grown up in a secluded village and that he is very innocent and naive, considering everyone to be friendly.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

Arjun raises his hand in a friendly greeting and walks over to the dwarf. "Hail, how goes life?" Arjun asks. The dwarf grunts and says, "Meager rations and a lumpy bed." Arjun chuckles as he relates to the dwarf. Arjun reaches into his pocket and pulls out a couple of emeralds. He hands them to the dwarf and says, "Say, I hear that there's a nice eatery in town. Why don't you close up shop and we can go share tall-tales for a while?" The dwarf grins, pocketing the money, and says, "With company like 'ye, that doesn't sound like a half-bad idea." Arjun helps the dwarf carry some chests inside the shop, and they walk off towards a bustling tavern. Who knows? A friend in the merchant trade is always useful.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

Arjun approaches the pair carefully with this hand on his trusty blade, even though it is a needle compared to the Orc. Being a kind and benevolent person, Arjun will always try to mediate a fight, but he is not afraid to accept a duel to protech himself from bullies. "Say, you two, why don't you two calm down?" The Orc grinds his teeth and grunts, "None of 'ye business, puny human." At this point, the angered Orc is unlikely to back down. While Arjun pities the dwarf, he must always protect himself first. In most cases like this, Arjun would walk away and alert the nearest guard to the situation.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:

My character would always assist the elderly. Arjun helps the old man to his feet and checks him over for injuries. Arjun asks the old man where his destination is. As the old man is talking, Arjun bends down and gathers the coins into the bag and hands it to the man. The old man looks to be in poor condition, suffering from multiple ailments. He would never get to Malinor without assisstance. Arjun pulls out his sword and chops a small branch off of a tree. He strips the spiked bark off with a hunting knife and hands the walking stick to the old man. He helps the man walk off towards Malinor and refuses any payment.
