In-Character Details

Character Name:Dorgrim IronHammer

Character Race:Dwarf

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:Dorgrim IronHammer, born in the Dwarven stronghold of Dalduum wasn't always as stubborn as he is now. When He was just a little dwarf at the age of 65, he grew up always helping his father forge together new weapons to bring to the Dwarven kingdom for the military during the harsh times of the great wars between the Dwarves and Elves, as well has helping his mother out around the house when she needed it most. Dorgrim was definitely not selfish in anyways, for he was constantly helping out his stronghold when his service was in need . His father, Dargom, trained Dorgrim constantly to be prepared for battle at all times, fearing that Dalduum would be the next target for the Elves to strike. Training him created many opportunities for Dorgrim to show off his might to the Dwarven King at the time so that it would show just how ready he was for battle. When the King made Dorgrim challenge a Dwarven militant, Dorgrim did not hesitate to accept this wonderful challenge. When the great day came for Dorgrim to show his might off to the King, Dorgrim began to get nervous about the upcoming combat challenge.

Dorgrim: Father, I am not so sure I am ready for this day anymore.

Dargom: Dorgrim! I did not train ye' nor raise ye' to be a coward when it comes to showing off your might to your own king! Now get your act together!

Dorgrim: Aye father, I am just a bit twitchy about any mistakes that I could possibly make during my challenge.

Dargom: Aye? Well then in that case son, Lets go out and drink some Ale before your combat!

Dorgrim: Father are ye' sure thats a smart idea before I go to the event?

Dargom:Am I sure... *Laughs* Of course I'm sure! I always drink a bit of mead and ale before I go to battle! Its an IronHammer tradition!

Dorgrim: Alright father... but I'm still not sure about this...

Going out with his dad to drink some Ale and Mead was probably the worst idea that he faced. After drinking too much to get himself drunk before the grand event, he passed out. Though he was awaken in time for the event, he was still very, very intoxicated, only causing him to be very weary and dizzy during his challenge. After only 5 minutes in the arena with his opponent, Dorgrim is knocked out in one final blow to the head. The King was very disappointed in Dorgrim, for his actions caused him to be denied into the Military. Later that night, Dorgrim, resting in his quarters at his house, wakes up only to find that the Elves are attacking Dalduum in a heavy battle raid.

Dorgrim, hearing the many cries and screams coming from the dwarves in the Stronghold, swifly jumps out, gathers his weapons and armor, and rushes out to the battlefield, which was once called home. Running after the many elves that he came across, he was constantly stopping them in their tracks to kill him, and after one by one, the raid was just about over. However, one elf got a lucky shot on Dorgrim, causing him to fall to the ground. As Dorgrim is laying on the ground bleeding, the Elf walks over to him, and kicks him in the gut.

Elf: *Laughing while kicking Dorgrim* You tiny dwarf, you and your kin are no match for the might of the Elven Empire you fool. There was no reason for you to and the rest of the stronghold to even attempt to fight back.

Dorgrim: *Coughing* Aye, but there is a reason for fighting back.

Elf: Oh yeah? And what might that be tiny man?

Dorgrim: Honor... Something ye' Elves dont fight for...

Elf: Is that what you dwarves call it? *Laughs* More like stupidity if you ask me... You listen here Dwarf... My men and I are going to slaughter the rest of your people here at Dalduum and claim this as our territory, and you wont do a damn thing...

Dorgrim: Is that so...?

Elf: Did I stutter or do I make my self clear stout man...

Dorgrim: Oh ye' made it very clear... pointy eared freak...

At that moment, Dorgrim got up, picked up his warhammer, as the Elf was turned away, and smashed the Elf's head into a wall.

Dorgrim: Ye' aren't goin' to touch anyone pointy ears...

After the raid went by, the Dwarves of Dalduum were victorious over the Elves who had attacked the stronghold. Word got to the Dwarf King, and then Made Dorgrim make his presence known to him at his Halls. So, Dorgrim accepted the invite gratefully and traveled to the Dwarven Capitol. Eventually after hours of traveling, he made it to the capitol and was congratulated by everyone there, for they knew what he had done to cause the victory at Dalduum. Dorgrim walked to the Throne room, kneeling down to the King, greeting him.

Dorgrim: My king, it is so nice to see ye' again, yet on better terms this time.

King: Aye, Stand up my boy. I have heard that ye' fought hard at the raid at Dalduum causing a great success and victory there.

Dorgrim: Aye my king, that is true, but it woudln't have happened if the rest of the strongholds men and women fought back as well.

King: That is true, but the only word I have received was the might and force ye' showed to those pointy eared people. For That I wish to congratulate ye' and place ye' in a high position in the Military, for I feel ye' have earned it.

Hearing those words come out of the Kings mouth, Dorgrim was very excited, yet speechless, for he couldnt find the right words to thank him.

Dorgrim:My king... I... I... I dont know what to say but thank ye'!

King: Aye, calm yourself, It is an honor to have another soldier at our side to fight back against these foul people. Ye' will be granted a house here in the Capitol, for ye' have earned that as well.

Dorgrim:My king, Thank ye'... for everything..

King: No, thank ye' for your actions and service to our empire.

After the great visit to the Dwarven Kingdom itself, Dorgrim traveled back home to Dalduum. When he arrived, everyone greeted him and congratulated him for his success. Walking to his parents house, he informed them that he will be moving out of Dalduum to live in the Capitol with the rest of the soldiers of the Dwarven military. Though his parents were upset about his leaving, they as well congratulated their son on his accomplishments for his stronghold, but for his own people as well. After the conversation with his parents, Dorgrim gather his belongings and moved into his new home in the Capitol. Training and fighting for many years against the Elves, losing many soldiers, and killing the Elven council eventually, The Dwarves were victorious in the great war that lasted for 20 years.

Dorgrim, during those years in the war, fought hard and restless, caused him to rise in the ranks of the Dwarven military. Though, after a few more years in the military, the Dwarven kingdom and its people were once again at peace, Dorgrim stepped down from his duties, for he found the love of his life, and raised a family together. Even though Dorgrim was happy for what had happened lately in his life, he still missed the days of battle and combat. He didnt complain much about to his family for he did not want his children to hear the stories yet.

What are your characters ambitions?: To bring peace to his own Kinsmen and to all the people of the land.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

Meeting this dwarf would obviously give me reasons to help him out in anyway for I love helping out my own Kin. I would give him a reasonable amount of coin to help him get started on his new life in the human lands. I would also help as much as possibly by providing the certain goods he requires to make business off of. I would also, help the dwarf by allowing him to stay in my own place until he earns enough coin to purchase a home for himself. Lastly, I would help him continue his business by offering my service when he needs it most.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? Me, personally I would quickly run to a nearby town or village to let them know of whats going on near by. This would hopefully convince them to help out the dwarf. I would also grab some armor, as well as my hefty warhammer and waraxe. Doing this would hopefully give me a chance of slaying the foul Orc if it gets bloody. I would let the Dwarf kingdom know about this for I believe it would be asking for war.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:I would give him his minas back, for taking it really gets me know where. I would feel guilty for what I have done. I would help him by carrying him back to my place, allowing him to stay with me for a bit. I would also make him a more sturdy walking stick that won't break so easily. I would offer him more coin, in case he needs to purchase anything on his travels.
