Orym looks to Lafthi

"I agree with you completely.. we loose mali almost weekly from uruks and valah. I think a lot of this could be stopped if we convinced mali to come back to their homeland on the emerald peninsula but the questions is, how? If mali left malinor or haelun'or to begin with due to whatever reason, what can we do to appeal to them so that they return?"

*Kalenz rolls his eyes.*

"So now Orym, you claim the alliance with the bortu was a good idea? If such had not been made in the first place as the mali'aheral so advised, none of this would have ever occurred. This was caused by the heial'mali ignoring hundreds of years of wisdom against such an alliance.

As you say, this bickering is worth little but the source of the problem must be identified before it may be remedied."

Walehir slowly stands from his seat, stretching, and plonking his golden staff against the ground. He says to Lafthi, matter of factly, but loud enough for the others to hear, "From a Valah, seeing your military situation, to ye all. I would highly advise, a strategic exodus from Normander especially. Perhaps Haelun'or. Over yonder to the North, past the Mori's domain. A more defensible position, with better yet, unfamiliar territory, will do nothing but help ye all stay safe. With that being said... Van'ayla, Mali."

*nods to Walehir before he leaves.*

"Your idea has merits Walehir I will give you that perhaps that should be the choice to lead us to safety. However I believe you do not give Normandor enough credit. It still has a few tricks up it's sleeve. Additionally, I believe I owe you a talk, send me a bird when you have time."

"Van'ayla friend."

*notices the smile that crossed Kalenz's face.*

"I take it that is the path you wish us to proceed with then Kalenz?"

Orym looks to kalenz

"I'm not saying it was the best choice, as it certainly has caused conflict, but I'm also trying to say that the valah of oren's minds are set on being superior and they probably would've gone on some crusade whether we had allied with the bortu or not."

Orym tries to hide a grin as he hears Walehir's words

"Van'ayla."

"If you wish to speak of such, another time is more appropriate. Perhaps it would be better if you were to speak to me after llir. We do not always know who is listening here."

"Is not the debates of a few behind closed doors what you are criticizing the council for now? No need to go into specifics but perhaps a vague idea of what you believe we should do?"

"Were I to have had some control over our predicament, the alliance with the bortu would have been avoided at all costs. But, that is neither here nor there now. I will not attempt to forecast the fate of an entire people along with multiple nations alone. But rather I would far prefer a more prudent corse of action be taken.

A grand meeting of all parties concerned and not just the heial'mali. Malinor has many allies which may indeed be use to it. Haelun'or and despite it having been our downfall, now the bortu stand with Malinor. A caucus of such a great scale that rash decision is nigh impossible. Many have valid input on the matter, in particular the mali'aheral and those of the curious Malin's Gorge which are now so invested in the fate of Malinor due to the heial'mali's folly."

*nods, smiling, for only the second time that night*

This. Ideas exactly like this are what we need. Kalenz I have not given you enough credit. For being an exceptionally young elf, I would have mistaken you for an elf of Aegis to be sure. Forgive me for my ignorance but I believe you hold some importance in the Silver City? Perhaps you are the one to set these talks in motion?

"Importance? No, Just ideas alone. Yet in a society of mali, that should matter little. I do wonder why those of Malinor are so intent on recognizing themselves as princes and princesses despite touting so often the idea of equality. In addition to such the role of a high prince seems far too feudalistic and valah-like for my own tastes. Those who lead the mali should serve, not be served. In many ways the titles of the tilruir are far more fitting."

((Tilruir = Most directly means servant, in charge of a specific aspect of life within Haelun'or))
