Back Story [before In Game Roleplay.]

When Velulaei gave birth to the first Mali'ker, she gave birth to a priest named Voxrus Nightheart.
This man was devoted to worshiping Velulaei, the great mother. To continue this devotion he mated with a dark elf mistress named Asteria. She gave birth to his four children, who were named Veltarus, Delaxa,Belazar, and Malgoth. Veltarus and Malgoth continued the pure lineage, while Delaxa and Belazar married into the Klarens and started the Vel'Nighthearts and the Aedeians. Delaxa and Belazar left their underground temple to join the Klarens in their cave; Veltarus and Malgoth expanded their beautiful underground temple. A great cloud tree was planted in the darkness, surrounded by pools, and above it the ground was open slightly to the stars and moon. The center of the temple was decorated with beautiful blue 'moonstones'. On the outside of the main ring where the tree was, were the living quarters. Here the Nightheart priests lived, and soon they gave birth to children of their own. For seven-hundred years these pure Nighthearts stayed in their temple, unknown to the other Dark Elves now, albeit all secrets must be revealed. Malgoth ventured above for the first time to see the moon from the surface, not the underground. As he gazed at it, fate would have it that Oren Inquisitors were passing right at that time.

They heard him pray to Velulaei, and emitted a chuckle as the raised their axes to slaughter him. His head rolled down the small hill the underground temple was built in, and fell into the trap door, that led to there. The inquisitors noticed this, and walked down the century old steps. When they got to the bottom, they entered the main temple ring. They gazed upon the three generations of Mali'ker praying. The third generation already grown up to be considered Mali'ker adults. They took a step forward and began to slaughter all of them. The cloud tree was burned, and the moonstones were taken. The books of their library were torn and left destroyed. Only four escaped. Ravyn and Xexus of Veltarus Nightheart; Electius and Velaxa of Malgoth Nightheart. The rest were murdered, and the four made their journey as nomads across the world. Eventually Electius and Velaxa were beaten to death by goblins; only Xexus and Ravyn remained. They became hateful and not trusting of valah and uruks. Then the time came when they had to escape Aegis on the ships they found in the nick of time. The two brothers put their past behind them, and decided to continue the pure lineage for their family.

Calypso Nightheart: Mistress of Ravyn, died during childbirth.

 

Echo Nightheart: The wife of Xexus, murdered by Xexus in his last months of insanity.

 

Xexus Nightheart: Husband of Echo, past Nightheart leader. Died during one of his outbursts of insanity - fell in a lava pit.

Traditions

Love~

Nighthearts do not usually find true love, because they are too worried about their need to continue the pure lineage. Most of the Nighthearts do not find love, and simply join with someone to reproduce. After the children are born, they have the Nightheart surname. Marriages are reserved for alliances and such between families, as well as true love ((which is a bit rare)).

Moonstones~

Xexus Nightheart introduced these stones to the Mali'ker. He uses them as a 'good luck charm' and something to represent that Velulaei is always with him. He also has taught some people that they could use the moonstones to pray to instead of a cloud tree (seeing as there are very few in the land). Though,he does believe that traditional prayer and such should be to a cloud tree. Ever since this became somewhat of a tradition in the family. ((Moon stones are lapis lazuli.))

Clothing~

Nightheart males usually wear long blue, purple, or navy robes. The lining of the robes is also gold, silver, or platinum. Nightheart females also wear the same robes, or if they choose to they wear fancy and pretty dresses. ((Nighthearts can wear anything, this is just their usual attire.))

Architecture

 

Nighthearts will include a LOT of plant life in their creations, and make it rather gloomy. They will build their homes in hills, mountains, or under the surface. Mushrooms are usually included in most of their builds.



Inside of the home, Nighthearts will have long and very comfortable beds. Their walls will be uneven and cave-like; made of stone or dirt-stone. Many vines will be included on the inside, and an indoor balcony is a Nightheart style, that is in many of their builds.



Nighthearts will either frame the front of their homes with wood or stone, or hide the entrance behind a natural place, such as a waterfall or tree. Unnoticeable windows are usually included in Nightheart builds and vines are draped over the front door to keep flies from coming in with the person.

Wonderful post friend. I enjoyed our RP together on 2.0. I can't wait to see what happens later and if our schemes from back then are carried out. This would be beneficial for both of our families. As a devout believer in Velulaei I'm excited to see where this leads. ((bacon that is a great idea for our family))
