The Swords we left Behind,

for the stranger dwarf who cast his sword to Asulon.

Remember those we lost, and remember the fallen,

another sword thrown to drift, lost.

The waters are blue and serene today,

unlike those many swords lost on other days.

For those many soldiers I didn't know,

we bury your swords with your graves.

To those unlucky few rotting on roadsides,

bandits wield your souls, to reap the ripe citizen of his gains.

For those who had no swords,

to defend yourself from your ills and ails,

I cast my sword into the ocean.

Perhaps it will help to show the way?

This sword that's cast in memory,

forgotten with the other swords lost,

it drifts away and shrinks in the distance,

a trivial token to the dead.

Somehow mysterious. It took me some time to understand it's meaning.

But I love the image you create while reading it. Reminds me the death of Boromir.
