Wretched 2075 Share Posted December 18, 2012 Knox stared down into the waters below, blinking slowly as the dark thoughts began to flood through his mind like a storm, his gaze flashed down to his right hand, starring intently at the raging torch held firmly within his bony grasp. Knox gasped out loud as he snapped himself out of this trance like state. His eyes narrowed into the waters below once more, he could quite clearly see himself standing there, halfway up the mast of the human's ship with his wirey fingers coiled tightly around the flaming torch. With nothing but a sickly screech of laughter, he tipped his head back into the sky, his grip released abruptly on the torch, causing it to fall onto the flapping, gleaming white sail below him. Time seemed to begin to go in slow motion at that point, everything became so very clear in Knox's mind. "They deserve this" he thought to himself "They deserve more than this, much more" the dark thoughts began to flush through him once more as the torch continued to fall. Images began to flash into his brain, all of them scenes of horrid death of the victims he had killed... And all of them screaming... Knox twitched one side of his dry, broken lips upwards to spread a sadistic smirk across the length of his face, completely concealed by his pumpkin mask. By the time Knox has snapped out of this pondering state once more, the entire mast and sails around him has exploded into a raging fire, the bright orange glow reflected off the shinning waters below to light the bay up like the sun itself. Knox released a slight giggle of surprise as he slid down the mast, landing hard onto the deck only to see a woman dashing over the dock, up the ladder, to halt a few feet from where he stood. Knox screeched with laughter, charing forwards to the edge of the boat, twirling his body round at the last moment to shoot the woman a mild wink before diving gracefully into the orange glowing waters below with a loud splash. He desperately beat his arms against the water in order to swim to shore, but his desperation was out of the excitement for a better view, rather than thoughts of escape. Knox clambered onto the beach, twirling himself round on one foot to gaze longingly at the beautiful suit before him. Knox's jaw dropped in utter awe at the sight as the pathetic looking humans clambered over the sails in a desperate attempt to cease the fire. He snapped his head back once more to release a spine-chilling shriek of laughter, before twisting himself round to dash away into the blanket of night, leaving nothing behind but the chill of his screech and the flaming wreckage of the mast.

Arkelos 1027 Share Posted December 18, 2012 Kyral had seen the Smoke rising from the mountain as the sun had risen from its slumber, body shaking in a quiet rage as she bolted for the tunnel, pushing peasant and noble aside as she screamed "Fire, fire! The boat!" Kyral had already known, making a quick break through the tunnel as she jumped off the walkway, climbing the pier as she caught a glimpse at Knox as she stopped mere inches away, grabbing her staff as she quickly bolted after him. "The light shines brightest when there are those in darkness- tch DAMN IT!" she growled, Knox winking at her as he dived into the salty waters, throwing her staff aside as she looked at Hazia, who was already climbing the masts, shouting for water. Kyral unhooking her breastplate as she exposed her tanned leathers underneath, scooping sea water as she attempted to climb the ladder to the boat with it. Easy enough, Kyral climbed it. Grunting as she motioned Hazia to come closer, telling him to go up halfway, to the first mast, as she passed him the breastplate of water, quickly climbing around him as they swapped the breastplate, quickly making it to the top. Kyral, without hesitation, dumped the seawater onto the masts, while they were destroyed, Kyral and Hazia had saved the entire boat from destruction. Kyral coughed as she grabbed onto the masts, House Winter Bannermen and the Imperial Army marching to the boat as they safely brought Hazia and Kyral down, both of them victorious.
