In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is: Roleplaying is the act of stepping into someone else's shoes and basically it's pretty much story telling.

Metagaming is when you use information gained out of character to benefit your character. Such as going to a certain coord because your buddy on skype alerted you that there were bandits attacking.

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is:

Power emoting is when you do not give the other player a chance to win or respond. Example "Laureth decapitates Elur.

It should be like so: "Laureth charges Elur swinging his blade at Elur's neck attempting to wound."

Character Race: Jahvid Human

Character Appearance: 5,8, 200 pounds, bulky muscular build, brown eyes, dark hair, a stubble, and fair or slightly olive skin.

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

Ashur, born 20 years before the voyage to Elysium. The Jahvid city of Agrabah was the land Ashur knew. With a father that was a leatherworker and a mother that had no craft. The son of a craftsman, not blessed with a shining spoon in his mouth from the start. Ashur's family resided in the poorest parts of the city, their family was too obscure to mock and too deceitful to feel pity towards. Ashur's father and mother deceived, stole, and backstabbed to get even the slightest bit of coin. Ashur was sometimes used in a theft or a scheme that aimed to deceive someone. Pointers were learned and Ashur absorbed this all into his young mind.

There is no special story of heroics or untimely parental death here, Ashur and his parents succeeded in most of the schemes they spun and they managed to live a slightly below average life. That was a good thing compared to the other situations families in the slums of Agrabah were in. All through out these years of scheming Ashur's parents had a seperate stash of coin that they had been saving to buy their way to the other side of Asulon and settle down in Normandor. By the time Ashur was 18 years of age his family had finally accumulated enough coin to finally get to Normandor. Ashur was with utmost joy and was ready to pack up and finally leave the slums of Agrabah, but Ashur's parents broke the news to him as he started to pack the few things he had.

Ashur's parents informed him that he had to stay and that they only saved enough coin for the two of them to go and for supplies once they arrive. Ashur was heartbroken but wouldn't show his tears. It felt as if a boulder sat at the pit of Ashur's stomach and his chest felt heavy, Ashur nodded somberly as he watched his parents walk out the door with their things. For two years Ashur made his parent's home his own and made false alliances, schemed, deceived, and also took up the ways of the sword. Ashur saw combat to win him great fortune sometime in his future. For he realized that with scheming and deception, prowess in combat is neccessary. He was not perfect at the art of the sword but he was learning and getting better with training.

By the time Ashur was 20 years of age a strange thing happened that winter, all of Agrabah was in peril, panicked citizens of low class and upper class flooded the streets. Ashur ran with the panicked crowd to numerous carriages and steeds that took them to the cloud temple docks. Huge ships were being erected for each of the nations. Ashur was confused but assumed there was a mass migration taking place. The ships were crowded and were loud, no one cared what race you were or if you were on your respected nation's ship. So Ashur just went aboard the elven ship, for it seemed to be the most tame one of them all. Ashur resided there and just waited for the sails to start taking them to wherever they were going.

Once the ships arrived at Elysium the 20 year old Ashur strives to learn the way of the blade, to fend for himself, and he is always analyzing everything.

What are your characters ambitions?: Ashur's ambitions at the moment are only to benefit himself, become more skilled with a blade, to survive, and to analyze everything.

Open-Response-Questions

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

Ashur notices the dwarven shopkeeper, he approaches him with a gentle smile and politely nods with his hands together "Inshakur Dwa'mi."

The dwarf is confused by Ashur's Jahvid tongue, he squints and points "Yer not from around 'ere?"

Ashur laughs and puts one hand on the counter "I know common Dwa'mi, I simply am tasteful with my greetings and pleasantries."

The dwarf nodded dismissively "So yer gunna buy?"

Ashur looked around the stall at the dwarf's wares and shook his head "No, farewell Dwa'mi."

Ashur then walked off.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

Ashur is walking down the oren road late at night when he spots a large orc threatening a dwarf. Ashur watches the confrontation waiting for either of them to fall so he may reap the coin of their dead body. After a bit of waiting the dwarf ends up killing the orc and then leaving. Ashur creeps over and steals what he can from the orc's body.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:

Ashur sees the fallen old man and smiles "A shame you purchased a stick of such poor stability."

The old man looked up at Ashur "Please help me up."

Ashur kneels down and smiles "Ah, yes. Of course elder one." The old man smiles as Ashur helps him up and walks him over to the side of the road into a bed of flowers and sits him down.

Ashur gestures for the old man to wait and he goes over to the fallen coin, picks the coin up and walks away.
