Rupert's Arsenal

(( Hey guys, I decided it's time I finally write about how Rupert made the various tools he uses in RP. I'll start from what he first created to what he most recently created. This will most-likely keep getting updated as he creates more tools. Also, I won't add TNT or anything because Rupert wasn't the first to invent or create it, he only makes it for personal use. Enjoy! ))

Matches

At the age of 16, Rupert, considered a pyromaniac by most who knew him at that age, grew tired of carrying a flint and tinder everywhere he went if he decided to light a fire. With some knowledge of gunpowder at that age, Rupert wanted to create some sort of fire starting device that didn't weigh more then he did. Rupert began thinking and sketching out possible designs.

After a few hours of sitting at the table, Rupert, tired and frustrated, had finally come up with a design for a match he thought would work. He started out with a stick fashioned from a birch tree outside his family burrow. He then stuck the tip of the stick into a pot of cooked slime, making the tip very sticky. Rupert stabbed the opening of his small pouch of gunpowder with the sticky-tipped stick, lacing the stick's tip with the grey dust.

Rupert ran outside his burrow and began trying to test his match design, but was saddened when no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't cause the ignition of the stick's tip. The problem that he was well aware of was that he couldn't create a spark. After a minute of pondering in thought, Rupert plucked a stone from a nearby river and stuck it onto the tip of the stick just before the slime had cooled. On his first try, Rupert ignited the match just by whacking the stick on a gravel road. Rupert had created his most useful tool, the match.

Firecrackers

At the age of 29, Rupert grew tired of regular gunpowder explosions that caused severe damage to the area in radius of the TNT. Rupert's TNT design was far too dangerous to mess around with, so instead of muffling the explosion damage, Rupert thought it best to create a whole new type of explosive that would only create sound, leaving the area it was ignited in unharmed.

After a day of thinking it out, Rupert had nothing. He was frustrated and felt that if he paced around his burrow one more time, he'd purposely blow himself sky-high. He decided to take a walk around the lake to relieve some stress. As he was just finishing lapping the lake, a gust of wind picked up and nearly threw him to the ground. Under a tree waiting for the wind to calm, Rupert was smacked in the head with a twig that had fallen from the wind. Rupert sighed, picking up the twig, ready to throw it into the lake. Just as he was ready to let go, an idea sparked in his head and he ran inside his burrow.

For an hour, odd noises had been coming out from Rupert's burrow. Rupert had been trying to create a very small, thin iron spike by melting an ingot. Just as Rupert was finishing sharpening the spike, he tossed it into his unused toilet water, allowing it to cool. Fifteen minutes later, Rupert retrieved the spike, very happy with the outcome.

Rupert began shoving the spike into the twig he had picked up outside. After a lot kicking and banging, the spike had finally gone through the entire twig, making a small hollow peeking hole inside of it. Rupert stuck paper on one end of the twig, allowing nothing would he put inside of it to escape. He then began pouring small amounts of gunpowder into the twig using the open side of it. Just as the inside of the twig was filling up, Rupert stuck paper over the open side he'd been pouring gunpowder in, sealing the twig completely. Rupert stabbed a gunpowder-laced piece of string into one of the pieces of paper on the side of the twig to act as a fuse.

Rupert ran outside his burrow, retrieved a match from his belt, scraped it on the gravel road to ignite it and lit the fuse. Rupert waited a second for the fuse to start burning closer to the piece of paper, and then chucked the twig behind a tree. About three seconds later, the fuse had burned down entirely, igniting the gunpowder inside the twig. An extremely loud popping noise was heard, and a bit of smoke was seen behind the tree where Rupert had thrown the twig. Rupert, inching his way near the tree saw that the smoke was coming from the exploded twig, but had caused nothing to light on fire or damage any area around it. Rupert had created his favorite tool, the firecracker.
