Aedeian Lore

History

The Issinardo Aedeian started when a pure, female Klaren and a pure, male Nightheart married (names unknown). They were there when the Oren inquisitors killed big parts of their families. Though instead of most of their families, they did not stay and fight. They took their children, Kerillian, Cerele and Arderon, and fled to the swamps.

In those swamps they saw the little boats that their brothers and sisters had built, and they were fascinated by the craft. They started to build boats like those, but then out of wood. Sails were also added, which were inspired by batwings. These ships were not meant for battle, because the Aedeian family had dropped most of its military traditions out of shame for running away. Kerillian, Cerele and Arderon were still taught how to use how to use a sword, though.

Even though Issinardo Aedeian was still armed, their ships would be traders and they’d try to avoid battle. They did share their knowledge with the other families, though, and those did use it to build more battle-ready ships.

Arderon married both his sisters to keep the blood ‘pure’. Kerillian gave him a daughter and Cerele gave him two sons and a daughter. These children spilt the bloodline up in two branches: Kerilian’s daughter, Kerillien, married Cerele’s oldest son, Arderean, continueing the main line. The other children of Cerele left the port town they lived in, and contact with that line was lost.

Arderean and Kerillien built up the tradefleet, and their children Kaderon and Arele continued to expand it. This caused the family to grow more and more wealthy. This wealth was lost, though, when Aegis fell.

They took their children, Cerilien and Ardereon, and fled to Asulon. There they settled in Elandriel, but soon after they made themselves a home, they were killed by Mori’Cressir. Cerilien was enslaved, but it is unknown what happened to Ardereon.

Cerilien was freed later by Amarath Oussana, whom she married and gave a son.

Appearance and skills

+ They have purple eyes, light grey skin with a slight blue glow and silvery-white hair.

+ They often wear light clothes, easy to swim in (They are very good swimmers).

+ Both male and female are trained in sword fighting, but not to a master niveau.

+ Females are often skilled singers.

+ They love water and are often obsessed with ships and other watercrafts.

Tradition

The children marry brother to sister, to keep the blood pure.

((Dear Vallel'Yuln, this conflicts with my lore. The only pure Nightheart that didn't continue the pure lineage was Delaxa, but she only started the Vel'Nighthearts, with a pure Klaren. You could say that a Vel'Nightheart married a pure Klaren, or I could put in another family member that started this family. Otherwise nicely written and I like that you gave them a profession with water and didn't try to take the previous ones ((EX: Religion, War, etc.))))

((I would very much appreciate if you added that second member, I mainly didthis because your lore says nothing about who came after that. The klaren lore doesn't say anything either about the brothers and more importantly sisters of Gloroth Klaren (is that the right name?) so I thought it'd be alright.))

((I will add another member and his name will be Belazar. He would also escape the temple, and give birth to your family with a Klaren. I don't think it would conflict much with the Klaren lore as they don't look to be purists as do Nighthearts. Also your family are EXTREME purists. Nighthearts don't marry brothers and sisters. They marry impure Nighthearts or into other families and try to keep the Nightheart name.))
