Bravepaw Steps Down From The Princedom

The only difference from a prince and a high prince is two votes and he has the option to veto votes and that ladder difference is almost taboo to use. I my self have never used it. There really isn't anything to strip. What worries me is how Oren set this is motion and SOME on the council got played like a fiddle in my absence. The Council is suppose to represent the people of Malinor and Malin's children. I feel the recent actions of some council members do not reflect Malinor as a whole and what we strive for. I feel working with someone I can not trust while I question their motives is unproductive and dangerous. That is the reason I step down Khel. I mean this from the bottom of my heart when I say " May Malin bless you and help you in your quest to bring Malin's children to a time of peace and prosperity. I know you still wish to use the council as your tool for doing so. I have came to the conclusion that this tool is broken. Can this tool be fixed is a question that will be answered in the future it seems. But as of the present I will use other tools to serve Malin's children. I am giving up my title but not my duty. I am bound to the Elder Seed of old and know my destiny and life purpose is to serve the Elves. Right now we may disagree in what tool to use for the job but we both strive to get the same job done so I wish you the best in your journeys. As for me I will always have a place Malin's children are welcome and I can serve them. So fear not anyone that seeks me out in the future.

* pats his brother Orlanden back on his shoulder then turns to kiss Elorna goodnight. He bows to the crowd out of respect and retires his still healing body to his home for some much needed rest.

"I intend to replace the tool with something new because the tool we have now has been broken since the first high prince stepped down. A princedom is simply not efficient enough. I'd like to see a change to the very way we govern ourselves. If you'd like to aid me ,kae llir, I'd be more than happy"

He looks to the crowd around him

"If any of you have ideas for a more ideal way of governing ourselves, then let your voice be heard. I'll be holding an assembly quite soon with the public.

Orym speaks up.

"Perhaps a council member that is a link between the people and council and is more or less involved with what the mali of malinor want and a bit less politics, which could be handled by the other members? I strongly believe that there needs to be a link between the people and the council so that not only can the council hear what the people want, but also so that the people know their leaders better and can trust them to lead."

"As do I. In the near future I will be formulating something like this, with the help of the council members and myself. Once the document or documents are ready it will be brought forth to the public and they will choose how their government would work"

Emanaf scowls, somewhere at the back of the crowd, as this new prince goes on about new government.  He sighs, remembering the days before Oren, back to the days of Commander Ithil and the Old Sentinels.  Then he turns away, right hand flitting dangerously close to the sword at his hip, hidden under the long, faded coat he wears.

*E'Lizhath walks up to the front door of Bravepaw's house, pulling a small dagger from his belt. He begins to carve a symbol into the wood by the door.*
