The Sound Of Preperation

Recommended Posts

*Sounds of hammers striking metal and anvil can be heard echoing through the desolate halls as a scarce amount of dedicated smiths warp heated Dwarvish black iron into tools made for war, be it blade or armor the soldiers of the mighty Kingdom's Legion march slowly through the main entry in 'Vel' line formation each taking the equipment forged for them from a Quartermaster who humorously calls himself 'Q', as the soldiers march into assembly into the dining hall lining the walls the Grand Mountain King, Lord Valen, Commanders, and lastly the Grand Marshall Lord Paragon Kjell Stormhammer await upon the stone platform which bears the dining throne. The King makes his speech which is then followed by a few words from the others before the Paragon takes his turn to speak to the Legionnaires and militia who are under his command.*

"Lads an' Lasses! Brudders an' sisters ov da stone an' da Brathmordakin! Give me yer attention, da day ov war comes an' soon on da fimtanth day ov dis dwarvish mon'f weh be marchin' oor legion tuh meet da green carpet filth as dey be goin' tuh cower be'oind deir walls pleadin' an' pissin' deir crotch clo'fs fer mercy as weh tear doon deir walls stone by stone! Dungrimm will smoile on oos along wi'f da odder Brathmordakin as weh march ontuh da broken walls da cowards keep between oos an' oor blades an' w'en weh meet em we be goin' ta give dem da nedder an' take da 'oide ov da greenshit Rex suh dat weh can tan da skin an' make it intuh a carpet fer oos ta stomp an' spill oor drink on as we da sons an' daughters ov stone feast on oor comin' victory!"

*The Grand Marshall raises a blade with the hilt made out of gold embroidered orc tusk into the air thrusting it upwards mockingly to show that this trophy will be only one of many after the Dwarves have completed their task of showing vengeance in this new unending campaign against the orcish hordes, As he holds his blade into the air his aura becomes that of a dire seriousness as his expression turns partially grim before he addresses the gathering of Legion and Dreg.*

"Dis lads be da tusk ov da Rex Pok Ugluk, given tuh meh by da Legionnaire Lieutenant Durrim Gold'and! Dis trophy will join da ranks ov yer own unce weh kill da green'oides an' tear doon deir walls, but we can onleh win dis war wi'f da aid ov da Brathmordakin an' da willin'ness tuh listen tuh da Legion commandin' ranks an' Ah wunt da let ye militia w'o 'ave joined da ranks ov da Legion tuh know dat any form ov act dat be oot ov loine durin' dis war be it jumpin' 'roond loike a stark w'oile weh wait tuh charge da carpet loines or chargin' a'ead wi'f oot da ordah ov da Legion commandin' ranks will beh punished wi'f sum 'arsh beatin's! Moind ye dis be a toime dat we 'ave planned fer an' if un ov ye gits does sumfin' schtupid causin' da Legionnaires tuh fall oot ov loine oor victory be lost an' we be shamed fer it! Ah'll promise ye dat da names ov da militia or schtupid smeg'eads in da legion w'o fall oot ov loine an' cause oor kin failure in dis war will be blamed fer it! An' deir clan will be dis'onored fer many ages tuh come! Suh put away yer bludeh family proide an' take oot da ol' proide ye lot 'ad fer da Kingdom in da days ov old w'ere we slaughtered da carpets fer deir wrongs!"

*Paragon Kjell lowers his blade as he rests it on the ground the ivory handle gleaming lightly in the fire light of the feasting hall, he looks upon the organized masses of the Legion before spotting out the likes of the Urguan Militia who slowly begin to form into line with their brothers and sisters in arms, the Grand Marshall can only pray to the Brathmordakin now that these often Stark Raving Mad Dwarves will listen in their time of need and follow only the orders handed to them by the legion.*

"Tuh remembah dis war Ah will 'ave a engravin' made tuh record da acts ov da lads w'o foight tuhday, if ye lot witness an act ov valor or an act ov skillful display on da field ov battle! Tell me an' yer kin an' Ah'll 'ave it carved intuh da rock dat will be 'oldin' oor victory fer all oor beardlin' in toimes ta come ta see."
