The LOTC rp style will take some getting use to but.... isnt it meta-gamming when someone tells you you cant hear them when they try and stab you? Edit: The actual of him trying to tell you in OOC that your character wouldn't be able to hear him is not exactly metagaming though. If they told you in OOC that you could not hear them when they tried to stab your character, it really is not up to them. That would almost be powergaming at that point, actually. Generally, if they were trying to assassinate your character it is up to the victim to decide the outcome of the villainy. Jistuma 1996 Share Posted February 10, 2013 It's not metagaming for them to tell you, it might be of you hearing them, but that is relative to the situation. Sometimes people make noise when they go behind your back, sometimes your char would be focused on what is ahead of him to not notice what is happening behind him. But normally, you wouldn't be able to tell that someone came behind you, think IRL if someone came behind you while you were speaking to a friend, you wouldn't notice the other person comming closer. Yes after i ran away from him he harassed me for 45 minutes.... /he did power emote. He emoted attempts to stabb in neck, and thought i wouldnt try to escape in any which way? And no orc wouldn't sneak up on you if you were alone, if they're RPing correctly. Were you in the badlands? Because then this would make sense. It wouldn't make sense that he's threatening to report you, though. If he knocks you out, you don't have to do /damage 20. He ko'd be outside of sarkozys bar and said emote death(I did) then /damage 20, I said no because I never agreed to a fight. I though i only had to emote. I greifed by using 2 dirt blocks to jump a fence after falling off a cliff to get away. Then got warped to jail and put down 1 dirt and quickly removed the dirt. You should have read the rules. I'm sorry that you've had such a bad first experience on LotC, though. I read your ban appeals.
