IC Information

RP Name (This includes your character’s prefix):

So'Skira

Character Sub-race:

Kha'Pantera

Character appearance (Including age and gender):

So'Skira is a male Kha'Pantera with jet black fur and bright golden eyes. So'Skira is age 15. He wears a yellow and gold loin-cloth so that his natural beauty is showing to the world around him, yet his clothing reveals no personal areas. So'Skira has a long, silky tail that often moves depending on his emotion. His claws are small and of a light silver. So'Skira's wrists each have a golden bracelet, and he has a necklace with a bright blue stone.

What is the personality of your character like?:

So'Skira is a serious and mature Kha', one that places his devotion to Metztli and the Tla' above all else. He is often a quiet individual, only speaking when it is necessary to do so. So'Skira will often not engage at all in a conversation with apes unless it involves official business due to resentment. In military encounters, So'Skira will often stick to the shadows or a good vantage point for a stealthy execution. He is extremely cautious and avoids detection in every scenario where it is possible. So'Skira finds that an offense against his own people to be similar to going against Metztli, as they are her creation.

Brief Biography of this character’s life thus far (taking into account the rules against creating a character born outside of the empire):

Skira was born within Xer'Tlaasu in a lower class of Kharajyr society, the class of the common Kha'. Despite being of the lower class, Skira and his family attended every religious ceremony that was held, never missing one for any reason. Skira grew up with a very high esteem despite his family's economic position, all thanks to Metztli. He felt that because Metztli created the perfect species to follow under her; he should give back to her all that he could. Skira vowed that he would attend every ceremony until his final breath, and serve the Tla' just as rigorously.

Due to Skira's family being poor, he would often have to hunt with a makeshift bow his father gave him. He hunted most of his day when not attending a ceremony or ritual. Skira provided the food for his family, and managed to obtain extras that could be given to support other Kha'. He was risen under the impression to provide for his own people, and reject those who aren't. As he grew up, Skira heard about apes murdering his people and taking land from them. This caused a deep resentment in Skira's heart for he could not fathom anyone murdering the followers of Metztli.

Skira grew up feeling to be a gorgeous Kha', often polishing his own silky fur. When he had obtained enough savings he bought himself two small golden bracelets and a necklace with a blue stone. The process took up many years of his life, but Skira felt determination is a good policy. When Skira reached the age signaling a milestone in his maturity, he took the trials that all Kha' must take in order to obtain their title. Skira faced intense struggles in the trials, but ultimately prevailed and became So'Skira.

Character’s ambitions within the Kharajyr:

So'Skira has the ambition to follow a strict code of morals towards his people, aiding them in any case possible. He wishes to appease Metztli in any and every way, and therefor wishes to attend every ceremony in her name. So'Skira will follow the orders of the Tla' as close as possible as well, as the Tla' is Metztli's right hand.

Character’s strengths/weaknesses:

So'Skira is skilled in making traps due to his intelligence from hunting. A second skill So'Skira has is stealth; as he often sneaks upon and around his prey for a stealthy kill thanks to his third skill. So'Skira is very adept in long range combat, be it from bows, javelins, or other projectiles.

So'Skira has the biggest weakness of mind for combat. So'Skira refuses use of armor heavier than simple leather garbs, as he would rather make use of his incredible speed. He also has no skill with a sword or trident, making his main weapon a bow. So'Skira has patience, but not enough to follow a trade such as being a merchant, miner, or lumberjack. He also has the weakness of being too dedicated to the Tla' and Metztli, which could ultimately lead to his demise. Whether this is a weakness however is a matter of perspective.

Situational Roleplay Questions

1. You are heading home from a successful hunting trip when a group of three heavily armored humans jump out from behind a tree and start demanding the surrender of your catch over to them. Each man has a sword drawn and they are gradually pacing towards you...

How does your character react?

So'Skira jumps slightly in surprise; his guard had been left down. The initial surprise is quickly dissipated as he realizes that he has the advantage of agility. He scans the humans with his eyes swiftly, and deduces that in their armor they will be only a small fraction of his speed, not to mention his endurance would be much higher. The sun is still high in the sky, making camouflage unavailable for him. With little time remaining, So'Skira quickly twirls around and bounds down the path a short ways. A large vine is hanging from a tree near the path and he runs for it. So'Skira grasps the vine as he is running and jumps to be thrown to the top of the tree. The vine rips in half as he makes the leap. The humans attempt to grasp other vines to pull themselves up onto the tree as well, but the weight from their armor causes the vines to rip apart. So'Skira smirks and leaps through the trees to return home.

2. You arrive at the temple of Metztli only to see one of your closest friends stealing the sacred blue gems from the altar, a most unholy act for a Kharajyr.

How does your character react?

So'Skira notices his friend; realizing they are extremely close and he frowns, unhappy with what he has to do. So'Skira thinks about letting the event go unnoticed but quickly shakes off the thought. His commitment to Metztli is of much higher importance. So'Skira lightly bounds to his friend, no noise from his steps. So'Skira attempts to take the sacred gems from his friend. He succeeds at this and sets the gems back on the alter. So'Skira grabs his friends wrist and turns him towards himself. A great amount of sadness and pain is in So'Skira's eyes, but his face quickly hardens. He begins to pull his friend towards the Tla' so he can to pay the price for his crime. His friend does not resist, but feels an immense deal of sorrow.

3. You are in the Cloud Temple when a stout, angry little dwarf begins yelling highly racist terms towards you at the top of his lungs. Although unarmed, the dwarf continues to yell after he makes eye contact with you.

How does your character react?

So'Skira glances down at the dwarf and hides a grin behind his mask of no emotion. A funny sight he thinks, this shrimp insulting a creature of magnificence. He wonders if all apes are as stupid as this one. So far, it seems apparent that they all are. So'Skira waves his hand dismissively at the dwarf and begins to walk out of the temple. The dwarf would have to run to match his pace. The dwarf remains where he is, the insults gradually softening as he realizes everyone in the temple witnessed his lack of success in irritating the Kha'. The dwarf begins to return to the dwarven land in order to go to a bar and think on some ale.

4. Fire has broken out over the jungle city and you can hear the screaming of two Kha’ nearby. As you go investigate, you notice that one of your friends and the Tlatlanni’s white-furred child have gotten themselves trapped in opposite ends of a burning building. The roof creaks above you, if you were to get involved, you would only have time to save one before the building collapsed.

How does your character react?

So'Skira feels a deep pang of sorrow in his mind that he may lose a second friend after one stole sacred gems. Knowing his responsibility, So'Skira glides into the building and recovers the Ti'. He makes his way back out of the building at an incredible pace. He sets down the Tla's child and quickly turns to face the building, ready to enter again to save his friend. Just as he is about to enter the building, the roof falls. No cry of pain is heard. So'Skira's first thought is of relief. His friend did not have to suffer until he died. So'Skira knew mourning would come soon, but first he had to return the Ti' to his father.
