rukio 8924 Share Posted February 14, 2013 "I'm cold..." he nearly whispered, himself too tired to speak very much. He wrapped his arms around himself, following the masked woman who remained quiet. It had been an elven week since the masked woman had come, taking him from his aunt in the middle of the night, leaving no trace that she had ever taken him. Jay Aveere looked to the sky for several moments, the full moon making the world a bit less dark. He still struggled with his colorblindness however, and struggled hard to make sure the woman didn't leave him behind. They walked in silence for several hours, his teeth chattering together from how cold he was. Finally he could take it no longer "Ah tired....." his voice trailed off as he nearly collapsed, sitting down on the cold ground. The masked figure stood nearby, scanning for any sign of others. Jay whispered "Ah wanna go home.....ah miss my friends....." The figure turned toward him, slowly the mouth frowned, as though pitying him. She scooped him up and placed him on top of a rock. In a quiet, familiar voice to Jay she whispered "Do ye miss your father?" Jay began to cry quietly and nodded desperately. The woman patted him on the head and whispered again "Do ye want to see him again?" Jay looked at her, nodding "Ah wanna see daddy!" he cried. The masked woman nods again, speaking softly "I'm sure he wants tu see yu tu." The masked woman puts her left arm behind herself for several moments. Quietly, she pulls a dagger her from where it was hidden inside of her robe. Quickly she wraps her arms around Jay, and Jay wraps his arms around her, crying too badly to know what is happening. She whispers in a soft voice "Ye will see your father again..." and quickly plunges the dagger deep into his back. "Forgive me...." She whispers as Jay tenses for only a moment, then goes limp, held up only by the masked woman's arms. She releases her hold on him, letting his corpse fall to the ground before removing her mask. Wither looks toward her mask quietly, studying it for several heartbeats before dropping it. She steps on it, shattering the mask. With a slight smile, she looks to the sky, watching it quietly before choosing her own fate. When the sun came out the next day, the two corpses would be laying several feet apart, the female still holding the dagger. Her face would be unrecognizable from far too many self inflicted scars. The child's body, Jay, would be laying in a fetal position with a thornless rose laying on top of the blanket which covers him. One could easily mistake him for being asleep.... The Media Wizard 2958 Share Posted February 14, 2013 Scicle walked through the jungle that morning, his bow drawn as he followed the trail of his target. He had not seen the Giant Zombie since he killed his first, but he was sure it still had to be in the area. As he continued on, he caught the smell of death from deeper in the jungle. His ear twitched as the smell mixed with a more familiar scent; the scent of Wither. Scicle quickly bursted to his right towards the smell, hopping over fallen trees and sliding under vines. He eventually broke out into an open area where two bodies were sprawled on the ground. He turned and inspected them, the first looking like a sleeping child, and the other... Wither. Scicle approached her slowly, his eyes narrowing in sadness as he saw the knife and her scarred face. He fell to his knees beside her, his eyelids shaking in sadness. His teeth were bared as he looked to the sky and roared as loudly as he could, birds lifting out of the trees at the noise and flying away to a more peaceful and less devastating part of the jungle. Scicle lowered his head once more, breathing heavily in rage as he looked over at the boy. Noting how the boy had not moved at the roar, Scicle proceeded to stand and approach the boy kneeling down and rocking him slightly to confim the worst. Standing slowly, Scicle looked back at Wither, and then at the young boy who had only met once before he pulled out his shovel which he usually used to dig small shelters or graves for monsters. He began to dig both of them graves directly beside each other, unaware of his current surroundings...
