The Second Ultimatum.

Eira Gwyn sits up on a nearby tree branch, directly in Urasepts eyeline. A deep navy hood is far over her head, the white of her hair falling down around her face. She frowns listening to the various conversations, a trace of anger flaring in her. Her eyes fly open wide as she watches Nienna's actions towards Ebs and gives a small laugh of approval. She listens to Ebs' comment and shakes her head. She speaks lowly, unaware to herself that she can be heard by others around her.

"Why must everyone be so quick to judge... People change and times change also. You judge him on his previous actions, claiming that there will be a violent future... Are you so narrow minded to believe that? I have never seen him violent in the time I have known him... Perhaps, before you make a judgement on how he shall be in his term as Prince, you give him a chance.

Secondly; You rid your hands of Malinor's filth, yet here you stand to talk down to someone trying to help. Malinor, Oren and other nations alike were not built in a day and nor were their governs...Why does everyone seem to expect a solution to the problems that are apparent right now, to happen in a night? It isn't logical or possible... "

She sighs and shakes her head, oblivious to if she was heard or not.

Ebs leaves, so there is no further need to address him as if he was still there.

Art frowns at urasept.

"Frankly, I, along with many other citizens can testify for Ebs claims. Especially the accounts of sentinel brutality, in which I've personally expierienced many cases in which myself and many familiars of mine were made victims, even with active proof we had committed no crimes.

Our petition, bearing the names of close to twenty citizens of malinor, was simply shut down bu Kolyat and his pet high commander. No logic, no law, he simply shut us down because he decided he didn't like people who dared to speak out against his cronies.

So...To the one known as Urasept. I'd ask you not to deny that which most of us have expierienced first hand."

((Done on my phone, sorry for bad spelling and grammar and such.))

*Nienna takes a side-long glance at Artimec.*

"Artie, you cause so much trouble that you have difficulty walking into any Orenian town without being beheaded. Somehow, I have problems believing they acted unprovoked."

*Nienna, as an afterthought, continues.*

"Even then, you don't even live or work here! You're just an Arcane Delver,

who're living on the border between Dwarven and Orenian lands."

Actually, contrary to popular belief I do not start fights, I don't back down when they're started. Infact, last time someone tried to lynch me in oren I was simply looking for YOU. No trouble, no crazy criminal acts or whichever rumors people have spread about me lately...

People see reformers like me, Ebs, Vanir, Mr. Treemail as troublemakers, disturbers of the peace. If you support the high council, although I cannot see why you would, please argue your point respectively, instead of trying to tarnish the reputation and personal history of your opponents in debate.

This is addressed to all on the opposite side of the reform movement.

And yes, Im kastorian now, because like so many others, I was driven away from Malinor, by the council, the sentinels, the malins. The same qualms brought up by the founders of darkhaven.

"Hm, considering the fact that you seem make nothing but repeated jabs at the High Council, I don't see any problem in judging the character of each  and every Reformer I know. I'd even go so far as to wager that a rather worrying portion of reformers do not even live here regularly. If you want to argue for the reform of Malinor, I'd suggest you actually live in the city first."

*Makes a sickeningly pleasent smile*

"I'd prefer to not hear the arguments of elves who are oh-so-very detached from our city and its status, but since so many seem to be apart of your little group, who am I to stop you?"

Has it ever occured to you that we all TRIED to live in Malinor, and were driven away? I did, I STILL spend alot of time in Malinor, but the same symptoms make it a place impossible to live in.

*Vanir growls at the words of Nienna, his eyes dark.*

"If you and your neighbor have animals that you keep as pets, you are expected to feed them.  If you do not, and starve them of what they need to live, then it would not be surprising if they went to the neighbor for sustenance.  Logical, even.  If the animals that remain are still there, there is a few reasons. One, they may be favored above the others and willing to sit and get fat at the others' expense.  Two, they may be kept there against their will, made to stay via threats and fear tactics.  Three, they would be unable to see that their lot is wrong, for whatever reason.
If the animals that went to the neighbor show abuse and cry about what happened, wishing to save the others that still are under you, would their kind master that took them in hesitate to help?  Show you the error of your ways, and let your animals show you the proper way to take care of them.
And then you and your neighbor are happy, and take good care of your animals.  They grow strong, and protect you - unlike before, when you malnourished them and drove them against you."

((Sorry for all the hate in advance, Leo/Artie. Nienna is ticked and it tends to make her fight below the belt.))

*Nienna looks at the growling wierdo.*

"You're metaphor is a bit ironic, considering we feed our citizens for free. It is entirely easy for one to walk about Malinor unmolested. You'll find the fact that you've all been able to gather here so readily this evening proof of that, I hope."

*Nienna's mood darkens a bit.*

"And our guard force, while unorganized, is more benign than any force in Oren or the Liegon, where public beatings and humiliation are more than a little frequent. If you must stay outside our city for some ephemeral grudge, -do- look around you, hm?"

*Vanir laughs derisively. He makes a few motions with his hands, pointing first at Nienna's head, and then miming something going right over it.*

"It was an analogy, a metaphor. Food is not what we desire here, that much should be apparent."

"Unfortunately, yes, you are correct, as it is becoming increasingly apparent that you really only desire to create political chaos as a means to accrue more power."

"You truly are ignorant, aren't you. You think I wish for power? The idea is laughable. Before engaging in arguments that do not to further anything but hate, why don't you actually find out what our goals are? Refer to Mr. Treemail, if you will. If you wish, go ahead and berate the letters like you do me - They wouldn't take it the wrong way.
I apologize for saying such, but since you have begun to insult us, it should not be too offensive to you."

"Ah, but you see, I've spent most of the day hearing reformers say what they think their goals are, and to be quite frank the arguments are largely marata that the council members addressed to the point of the debating becoming cyclical, and unfortunately far too long-winded. At this point, I'm more or less convinced it's a ploy for greedy valah'mali to take control of an otherwise peaceful elven city."

"Then if you think such, you would do well to remain silent, for Mali such as those should vilify themselves without your help.  Perhaps some of the reformers are as you say - but many, most I dare say, are not.  Such argumentation only makes you look bad as well as us, and that reflects on the government of Malinor that you wish to show as better and pure."

"Thankfully, as it happens, I am no longer a part of the government! Indeed, now I have nary a reason to not be entirely honest with myself when addressing others. And unfortunately, I do not think the "bad eggs" will show themselves so readily apart from the rest."
