TheRoyalOnion(Aris) 101 Share Posted March 15, 2013 I decided I'd just add another little bit to the ever growing world that is Lord Of The Craft so...here it is, the poorly named Halfling yak! Characteristics Yaks originated from the snowy 'Elder Mountains' close to Lenfarthing. The Yak is a medium sized animal a bit larger than a Halfling. It is docile and simple which means it's relatively easy for Halflings to control; however the bulls may become a bit agitated during mating season. Animal Uses Yak meat (when cooked by an expert hand) can make for very tender, juicy and fatty steaks. Yak's milk is sweet and makes for good cake icing though it will spoil quite easily if not put in cold storage. The bones of a yak are dense and can be made into sturdy handles for hoes or nobs for walking sticks. As one effect from living in the mountainous regions for so long yak's fur has become very long and shaggy and with the proper tanning can be made into cozy blankets or warm winter cloths. One last thing to note; yaks have become very accustomed to the generous hands of the Halfings and require a higher level of feeding than your common cattle. However this should be no problem for the sprawling abundant farms of Lenfarthing. So that's the Halfling yak!
