Rules

[in Character]

 

1. The Request of a Nation/town or guild to be given a Hostile status – Thou must bring your proof and any other evidence to support the matter, to either Charles or his wife Alanas. After careful consultation of their wisdom Patriarch and Matriarch of House Greymane will decide on a verdict. There must be a majority vote to make the decision to pass through. If the two are at a stalemate a Noble of House Silverblade or Greymane may come in and tip the scales. And for the Status to be uplifted the same process must be lifted.

 

2. The Greymane's shall not commit hostile acts upon each other whether it be stealing or physically harming each other. If found then the aggressor shall be disowned and banished from the family and in extreme circumstances, handed into the local authorities.

 

3. If family members are opposite sides of a way, the Patriarch and Matriarch must decide which side to pick and go through with. If the two see no real need to fight or go to arms then all sides of the family are expected to lay down their arms and are forbidden to harm any beings of the realm.

 

4. Every Family Member is to respect each other no matter of their views and opinions are different of various topics. This also includes, if the family members are of a different national allegiance or political
group.

 

 

5. The Patriarch and Matriarch have the most power in the family and the lower family members are to abide with the ruling of the two. The only time that the family may disregard one of the two's decision is when said member is being possessed or is judged, by the other to be unfit for his or her purpose.

 

 

6. If one Family member finds themselves in trouble they may call upon other Greymanes for help whether it is with money or homing. The Greymanes are a proud people and will not let one of their own become a lesser being in Oren's Society.

 

[Out of Character]

 

 

1. If you are a member of the family whether it is an involved role, a noble or common, then you must use correct and high standard of the English Language.

 

2. There is a no toleration policy on people that wish to prevent other family members and the rest of the community’s role play experience.

 

3. Do not use any offensive language at any time unless we are having some banter with the rest of the family. Also, in TeamSpeak it is acceptable but it is preferred that you do not.

 

 

4. When making forums posts, family members should always try to use the green (or a variant of green) font color and a suitable font style and size to keep the good appearances of the family.

 

 

5. Follow all the general server rules and keep out of Ban Reports/Appeals if you are not involved. This is to keep a good reputation, both in character and out of character.

 

6. Do not in any way power-game or meta-game whilst role playing and keep to all sanctions set. Keep up the best role play as possible.

 

 

Family Heirlooms

 

The Greymarsh Lands - The Greymarsh is an almost in hospitable claim of land, it was given to John Greymane as almost an insult for his cowardice to join in on the Crusades of Oren, because of his dedication to his wife while she was giving birth to their first born child and son, Charles John Greymane. Even though the Greymarsh was intended to be an insult, John was able to hunt the abundant source of wild life there and found a small swamp village with its main export being fish and leather hides that the people of the Greymarsh caught or hunted daily.

The Greymane Family Long Bow -  This bow was used by John Greymane when he was first recruited into the Oren Military, he had been given it as a result of a mix up in the Oren Archer's Brigade when someone had mistakenly written down his height as being taller than he had actually been at the time. Nevertheless, John was able to make a name for himself when using the bow and had lead to him gaining ranks quite quickly within the Brigade and eventually landing him the position of Acting Sergeant. On his deathbed he granted ownership of the bow to his eldest son Charles in hopes that he too, would one day make his own name using the bow just as his father had done.

The Greymane Family Skinning Blade - This blade is a custom crafted blade ordered and made to the specification of Charles Greymane, he had this blade crafted when he had joined House Blackmont as a Man-at-Arms, the blade features a Diamond and Emerald pommel finely engraved with the letters G for Greymane and B for Blackmont, it's blade is made of the finest Dwarven-made steel and is 12 inches in length with a serrated edge along the first 5 inches from the hilt up, ending with a slight curve at the tip.

Traits of a Greymane

 

 

A true son of Greymane and his sons will have Dark Green / Green eyes, Orange; Or Dark / Light Brown hair, Blonde is rare in the family as well. Greymane's also have an odd trait amongst most of the Average Northeners of Oren; they usually stand roughly 4'8" to 5'10" tall, with an average weight of 120-180 pounds for males and 100-140 pounds for females.  Some notable characteristics of the Greymane's are that they are often quiet, but can quickly be angered and boisterous if antagonized, they are a somewhat cautious group of nobles, and tend to be very secretive. Most Greymanes are either Warriors, Archers or Tradesmen of some sorts. They are quite honorable and tend to keep their promises.
