His Northward March

Fujiwara sat atop his horse, his quest had been approved, he was going North. Some said foolish, others brave, but cursed his idiotic decision under their breath, save his Father, Shas'O Kais Ishikawa, and Noble Ser Jonathan.

Fujiwara looked at the letters that had been sent between his father and Jonathan, still coming to the realization his quest was approved, but he hid it under his neutral face...

"Noble Ser Jonathan of the Order of the Red Dragon, and Knight Commander of the Chapter of the Lion, this is a formal request to knight Fujiwara Kenta Ishikawa, and lift him from his squiring so that he make take up a quest to the north, to solidify his knighthood, and his manhood, and prove himself worthy to be part of the Ishikawa family.

-Count High Sheriff Shas'O Kais Ishikawa, Dono of House Ishikawa"

"Not advised. The North is dangerous. I will not guarantee your safety. 90% chance of death."

-Ser Jonathan

"I know this, he knows this, but he feels it is how to prove himself, and I condone it if he wishes to take this chance"

"... Approved. If he dies, it's not my fault."

"Thank you Noble Ser, when will Fujiwara ne knighted?

-Kais Ishikawa"

"Soon. After he gets back."

"Of course Noble Ser, I will send him along"

Fujiwara knew he'd be alone, he could count on nothing, and nobody to help him out there, and he was reayd, this was his moment, the time to bring glory and honor upon the name Ishikawa, to show their might, and their prowess, the strength that ran through the veins of EVERY Ishikawa...

Mounting his horse, he sighed, he would not see these green fields in many months, maybe years, but he would come back, he hoped... He would try his best, he could not fail his Chapter, Noble Ser Jonathan, Ser Lerin, the Ishikawas, himself, or, most importantly, his father...

Fujiwara set out, it was a long ride, and he had nothing but his imagination to entertain him, so he began to sing.

It was not days after he was in the North, his horse was slaughtered, and he was ambushed by the Boarmen, the savage tribals who knew no sense, and let out roars, squeals, and grunts.

"This was going to be a long quest" he thought as he charged the Boarmen, words of praise to the Creator on his lips...

Over the cliff though, more dangers were watching, and waiting...

Ser Adorellan's eyes widened, hearing of the news. He frowned, balling his hand to a fist, slamming it to the couriers face, causing him to stumble back, falling His back, before crawling away fear in his eyes, Adorellan turned around, walking inside his home, into his room... He fell to his knees, tears forming and dripping from his eyes. "I'll miss you.. Fuwi..." he whispered, speaking in a rather hushed and childish tone.

*Alexander's head shoots out from behind the boat he is building for Farley at the sound of singing, smiling as he continues work, humming along until it fades out of hearing range*
