A Report To The High Council

*Hera delivers a note to the High Council in a way that they would best receive it.

The note looks to be written in a hurried scrawl of anger. Jagged lines which would be curved and tiny splashes of ink lay across the paper. It reads*

(RP-ly only for high council members)

To the dearest High Council,

I whose name is known to many as Hera come baring this report to the High Council declaring my

dissatisfaction with an incident regarding the Commander of the Sentinels.

I have long stood by and watch as others fight for my safety and I thought it wise to seek official training so I may be more independent in my actions. I wished to be recruited into the Malinor Sentinels for that training.

However despite my patience and constant attempts to hold a discussion on such a matter I have been ignored and degraded by the Sentinels, namely the Commander who goes by the name of Benedict.

I shall describe the incident and then I shall explain my displeasure although I am sure the situation will clearly depict why I am so inclined to make this report.

Like I said I went to the sentinels to in fact become a sentinel myself. I had met up with a group of them at the barracks where they had just dealt with a prisoner. Present was Commander Benedict who I soon began to gather attention from. At first I figured he was busy so I patiently waited for him to finish discussion with the High Council member Titania. However I was unable to reach his attention even after he had finished and furthermore was ignored fully by him. I attempted to talk to him each time as he passed me and each time he ignored my presence and walked on.

The final part about this event is what pushed me to write this report. I stood out the door of the room in which he was and knocked receiving no answer. I admit I was quite flustered at this point after being ignored for so long and yelled through the door for him to respond. The door opened and he must have seen me there for he shut it quite quickly. I yelled for him again and another man in the room rudely jabbed a remark at me telling my to, and I quote, "Piss off."

I assure you that I have done nothing, no crime, no mischief, nothing, and yet I have been belittled and degraded beyond any point. Where would I be had I come needing the help out a sentinel or if I came to warn of an attack? Our Sentinels are meant to answer our call, not dismiss us as lower beings. They should be held in the highest regards yet OUR Sentinels act manner less and without devotion to their city, else they would have not just kept a lady waiting, but ignored her to the fullest.

I plea that the High Council seek civil reformation within the Sentinel troop. Such occurrences as this endanger out city. We may not live in ignorance.

Malin's blessings to you High Council

~Hera~

*Another note goes straight to the desk of Commander Benedict*

(Rp-ly only for Commander Benedict Aves)

Dear Sentinel Commander,

I will have you know that I am most displeased with your actions as you have left a bitter taste in my mouth and a disgraceful blight in my mind's eye. You have wronged me and you have wronged yourself.

I came to you to seek training. To seek guidance so I may better protect myself in this world that is full of glinting steel and streams of blood. Yet I have been ignored and belittled by you. I patiently awaited you as you dealt with the prisoner and on two occasions you had responded to me. Twice you had and within the next moment of both you returned to your ignorance.

How could you not have seen me following you, pleading that you listen? How could you be so cruel and manner-less to  slam a door shut in a maiden's face? Has your mind crumbled to the point that your hearing has become obsolete or were you truly ignoring my words?

A sentinel let alone a commander should be the example of greatness in Malinor yet all I have seen from you is a blight of disheartening actions. I have been discouraged. I have been avoided, discounted and neglected.

I hope Malin blesses you with the knowledge to right you misbehavior. I must apologize to myself for allowing you to mistreat me so.

Signed

-~Hera~-

*A note is prepared by Benedict himself and mailed to the High council, specifically stating that the message is to be given to Hera through whatever manner*

I apologize for any manner of stress or displeasure I've caused you in the time of my alleged ignorance specifically towards you, though I was currently dealing with the health and safety of not only one of my fellow Sentinels, another Mali, but also my partner. His life was at stake due to a large wound and blood loss caused by actions while on duty.

If you still wish to join the Sentinels and receive any form of training from other mali of which are experienced in the Sentinels, perhaps Commander Serva, or if you change your mind, myself, the assistance provided by your gained skills will both greatly be appreciated by myself, the Sentinels, and, most likely, the Council, now that my time is more capable of being used and you have enlightened my with your letter of complaint, I'll gladly see to it that you are appointed as a member of the Sentinels, whether by my own hands, that of a Sentinel, or Commander Serva.

Malin's blessings to you, Hera.
~Commander Benedict Aves~

Titania begins reading over the letter, her expression becoming very solemn with each line of the letter passing. She shakes her head at some parts, but nearing the end of the letter, she reads to quote to herself, but loud enough for all in the council chambers to hear.

"Piss off."

She lowers the note and glances between the members that are present.

"Is this how our Sentinels /really/ talk to citizens?"

She huffs, picking up the note again and reading the rest. Scoffing, she lays the letter back onto the table and crosses her arms.

"I'm becoming annoyed with the behavior of the Sentinels. Had I not been in a hurry and had actually seen this..."

She rocks her jaw around in irritation, taking a deep breath. She looks to the other council members, uncrosses her arms and folds her hands on the table.

"I'd like to hear your input, lliran. I personally feel that some sort of reprimanding is in order..."

She looks down to a new letter that is placed on the table, and narrows her eyes at the directions that are presented.

"What, Benedict expects us to deliver whatever he has to say on his behalf? Can he not speak to the face of who he has wronged?"

Titania leans back, emitting a long drawn out sigh as she waits for any input from the other members in the chambers.
