Question About Power Emoting

This is a question about emoting that blocks basically everything except a specific path that you want the rp to take. It really takes the fun out of the Rp when your choices for actions are set to one due to how someone responds to your rp, especially when they seemingly react to something they shouldnt know about. for example, not to name anyone, jumping down on someone without them knowing about it in an emotion, and them miracle-dodging it and claiming that if it connected it would be power emoting.

If this is not power emoting, then there is nothing I have against it, but it really destroyed all the fun i had in a recent rp I did with some people earlier today, where it ended up forcing me to have my character die or else i would be "breaking rules".

And im not naming anyone about this either, It is not a report, I just want a clarification

What you described is indeed poweremoting. What you need to do is remind the player of his actions first, and if he fails to improve, send a ban report, that is only if no method has worked.

I can give you a quick tip for RP fighting.

Dodging is fine, as long as it can be realistically done, given the position, and if not done too much, as dodging like a cheetah can wear a character out.

Also, when someone blocks your attacks see if you can take advantage of their position. Attack them where you feel they are most vulnerable. Every position in an RP fight can be exploited.

The person in that situation was clearly powergaming.

Also, if you meet anyone who manages to roll away and be in a perfect position to counter every attack you throw at them, call them out on it.

That was PGing. If this continues happening, try and sort it in L-OOC, then, /tells, then, if they are still PGing, SR
