Out-Of-Character Information

Please fill out the following questions as accurately as possible, and ensure the essential details are accurate.

Minecraft Account Name: zXzMAGIIKzXz

How old are you?:  15

Time-Zone:  EST (Eastern Standard Time/ GMC -5)

Have you read, understood and agreed to the rules?:  Yes. I have read and agree to the rules.

What previous experience have you had in role-playing?:  I
have played on other Minecraft roleplay servers. I have also stooped so
low as to play roleplay on Roblox. I do not suggest that anytime soon
for anyone who values their roleplay honor.

How did you hear about the the Lord of the Craft?:  I have heard about it repeatedly from a few people I play Minecraft with.

Link any applications that you have previously made for the server: http://www.minecraft.../page__st__2760 (If you’re reading this on minecraft forums, congratulations. You get to experience link-ception)

Have you posted this application on the Minecraft Forum? If not, then please do so (link above): I have posted it on Minecraft Forums. If you’re reading this on Minecraft Forums, that would be obvious.

Have you read the Elven lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?: Yes.
I shall. I take it upon myself to uphold the lore and law in the
fullest extent possible. Oh, dear. I appear to already be getting into
the roleplay spirit… (I must apologize now, I am plagued in that I am
forced to make terrible jokes every possible moment.(I told that joke
one time immediately after lighting tnt under myself. Very fun))

Definitions

In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing: Acting as a
character that is not one’s self, normally in a controlled situation for
the purpose of fun. (I’m sorry if that sounds professional, but that’s
how I speak and type)

Meta-gaming:  Using information in-character that could not be known by your character for a few different reasons.

Power-emoting: Acting in a way that doesn’t allow any retaliation or choice in the outcome.

In-Character Information:

Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name:  Maehr

Current Age:  103

Sub-race (if any):  High Elf

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):

Ambitions for the Future:

Maehr grew up in Malinor. He spent a lot of time
learning, whether it was through his parents, his books, or simple
observations of the world around him. He became skilled in reading and
writing, as well as drawing. His parents fully supported his lifestyle,
in that they forced it upon him. He found he greatly enjoyed learning,
though, even if it was forced.

Maehr’s life was uneventful for a majority of it. He
lived his life learning, trying to gain as much knowledge as he could.
It was a goal for him. When Maehr finally left his parents to explore
the world past the pages of a book, he looked forward to it. He never
attacked or harmed anyone, though he was attacked a few times. Whenever
it happened, he tried to run away to the best of his ability, but he was
never quick.

Maehr’s first true hardship in his life was an attack by
a group of bandits. It wasn’t even on him, but on a small, helpless
elven girl. With a tongue that was sometimes quicker than his head, and
always quicker than himself, he shouted to the bandits to stop. They
took offence to his shouting and ran at him, taking their attention off
of the girl. Maehr wasn’t quick enough to get away, and he was soon
caught and beaten senseless. He awoke in a ditch to the side of a path,
with none of his little amount of money left on him. One eye was swollen
shut, and his leg was broken. He limped to the closest place of
shelter, and he fashioned himself a splint out of some sticks and some
twine from his clothes.

He got back to shelter, and the attack lingers on his
memory. He wants to train with weaponry, but he always turns back to his
books and paintings.

(I apologize for the rather uneventful backstory, but
I’ve seen quite a few applications. Frankly, I’m annoyed with the high
frequency of stories that have a basis of parents dying and becoming a
warrior. I decided a while back to never do that kind of story again. I
may do one with a bit more detail if I ever need a new character, but
that’ll be once I have more first-hand experience of the server and the
world.)

Personality: A kind joker,
Maehr tends to think quickly, and speak with even greater speed. He
doesn’t enjoy harming anyone of any kind and has a sense of honor that
goes against him treating anyone ill. Maehr is intelligent and enjoys
sitting for a while in one spot, simply observing something interesting.
He is enthusiastic and helpful to anyone that needs it.

Skills:  Maehr is skilled
with his hand. His handwriting is good, and his is able to draw with a
good amount of skill. He also has good eyesight and has the patience to
sit in one spot for a large amount of time for whatever reason.

Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin):

e7tkQL0.png

Maehr  has blonde hair and light colored skin.  He wears
simple clothes and often has a book on him. His eyes are light blue. He
stands at an average height for his age. (What might that be? I
couldn’t find it)

Any other details you wish to share about your character:  Maehr has a great fear of any insect. He does not like the way they move.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question in this section must be answered with a
minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please
be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any
point.

____

1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the
sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a
group of older elves are mocking a small elven child. How do you react?

Answer:

Maehr shouts to the older elves, “Hey! Leave the child
alone!” The older elves (I’m going to call them “The Others,’ capital
letter included) turn towards him, wondering why he would get involved.
Maehr takes advantage of their attention on him, shouting again, “That
kind of behavior’s wrong. Why don’t you go back to wherever you call
home and stop bothering the poor child?” The Others take a few steps
towards him, but Maehr watches the child out of the corner of his eyes.
He notices it crawl away and decides that now may be the best time to
make himself scarce. The Others finally decide to reply, “Are you going
to make us? This one deserves it!”

Maehr stops listening and starts running in the opposite direction. The Others chase him, quickly catching up to him.

Maehr refuses to remember what happened after that. He
likes to think that he managed to escape, but, in reality, he fell and
was kicked around a few times before The Others left.

2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you
come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front
of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls
a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open
spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless -
what do you do?

Answer:

Maehr rushes over to the old man. As he bends down to
help him up, he asks, “Are you ok? That was quite a fall.” The old man
nods and Maehr gets him to his feet. The stick has rolled out of the
way, so Maehr helps him over to it. As soon as the old man is stable,
Maehr finds the coins and gives them to the man. “Here you are, sir.
Need any help to get where you’re going?” The old man shakes his head
‘no’ and goes on his way, not taking a second look at the strange person
who would help a stranger and not rob them while they were helpless.

3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come
across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader
stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He
points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's
willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do?
(Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion
involved).

Answer:

Maehr looks over the carriage, keeping an eye out for
anything that catches his interest. He sees drinks, foods, weapons,
arrows, and clothing, but nothing grabs his attention. He is about to
leave the clearing when something catches his eye. A small,
leather-bound book lays under a tunic. Maehr points it out to the
trader. He asks, “Can I take a look at that book?” The trader shakes his
head before replying, “No, sir. You have to buy the book to read it.”
Maehr frowns slightly, then asks another question. “How much for it?”

“You can have it for 100 gold pieces. I think that would be worth the knowledge in it.”

Maehr thinks a little, then shoots back a counter-offer. “I don’t know what it’s about, so I’ll only do 60.”

“75”

“65”

“I’ll go that low. You have yourself a deal, elf.”

Maehr takes the book and looks inside. Any knowledge
would have been worth 100 gold pieces to him, but he’d rather pay less
if possible.

Very good application, I like how you made it your own and that your family did not die!

Welcome to Anthos. Please wait patiently for a GM to implement you.
