OOC:

Ok people I do this because I love horses, absolutely love them, and also because there aren't any horse breeders well know within the server community. Please no hating, to everyone who isn't a nutter about horses my char sells OOC wise nothing and gets money. But to those who truely want to RP the trading of horses and wish to increase the lore and depth behind breeds of Anthos I will be selling horse profiles for your chars priced differently. Once again OOC wise you won't get any vanilla MC item, but RP wise you will receive a wonderful companion and also a horse profile that will be a part of a McHaryn Horse Breeding archive that I am already adding to.

THIS IS NOT A PLOY to get money quick, I wish to increase the roleplaying of mounts and add something more unique to the LoTC community. I am not phased if literally zero people go along with this idea, but I think its worth a shot, if one person buys a horse off my char and roleplays the purchase and everything then I will be satisfied.

QUICK RECAP: If you purchase a horse you will receive that horses profile, examples will be shown in this thread. You will also get the opportunity to roleplay purchasing a horse, and will be able to more fully understand the RP bond one's char can forge with their mount.

Please no unnecessary comments such as "((Why would we pay money for something that doesn't even exist")) or "/me laughs loudly to himself "Why waste good money on this fella's horses when I can just steal/breed/find/create from nothing my own!".

Without further adieu here is my thread of horses for sale.

Shout out: MEGUZARA! We need to write that lore for horse breeds in Anthos?! I have a bajillion ideas that you would be awesome at interpreting and making sense of!

P.S: For further info on LoTC types of horses look here at this guide made by this devilishly handsome fellow of extreme skill whom will stay unnamed  http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/85132-a-guide-to-horses-and-their-different-attributes/

P.P.S The horse breeds below I have created, im'a double team with Meguzara (hopefully) to provide a better explanation and info pamphlet on these breeds.

*A notice is pinned to various trading boards around the Kingdom of Oren, the prancing emblem of a spirited stallion is seen at the top of the flyer, looking closer you realize it is an add for the selling of mounts*

Hail citizens of Oren, my name is Starke McHaryn and all my life my family have been heavily involved with various mounts and the breeding of these mounts. For the first time in history our breeding books have become known and we are looking to sell some of our mounts. Below are the horses currently up for sale, their attributes and a rough sketch will be shown, all potential buyers interested in purchasing one of the following mounts are more than welcome to attend our county horse fields for an in depth discussion on said mounts characteristics.

Horses currently for sale:

Purple Roan Haryn, Gelding

AdmiralIHarynGarron_zps78f19796.png

Name: Admiral

Breed: Haryn

Height: 14 hands.

Horse type: Garron

Sex: Gelding, incapable of breeding.

Description: Admiral is a 2 year old colt with a shaggy purple roan coat and very unkept mane. He is well muscled with stubby but very stocky fetlocks and shoulders. He has a white sock and long bushy tail.

Personality: Extremely stubborn to unknown riders, headstrong, likes to go his own way, very hardy and not fussy, will eat scraggly tundra grass or Oren meadow grass with the same enthusiasm. Very diligent to masters he can trust. Hard to control by unknown masters.

Breed Description: Haryn Garrons are bred purely for the use of scouts, Rangers, thieves/brigands, foresters, mappers and messengers. They are capable of a turn of speed but have amazing endurance and extreme surefootedness. Often frowned upon by the elites of society on account of their shaggy coat and rough appearance the Garron has become a favourite of middle class peoples. Dilligent and loyal the Haryn's of the north are highly sought after mounts.

Current Owner: Starke McHaryn

Price: 140 Minas

Liver Chestnut Southern Apollo, Filly/foal (Mare)

RomarkSOUTHERNApollocourser_zps8cc6a270.

Name: Romay

Breed: Southern Apollo

Height: Currently 10 hands but will grow to approximately 16 hands high.

Horse type: Courser (Foal)

Sex: Filly, currently incapable of breeding due to age. But should be able to breed in time.

Description: Romay is a 16 month old filly with a well defined build and close cropped coat of a liver chestnut tinge. She appears to have the makings of a fine war horse if trained correctly, her body is proportionate and she seems to be growing fast.

Personality: She seems to have an immense store of energy, even for a young filly, I constantly find her playing when she should be eating or nursing, she holds her own with speed against other foals and isn't cowed easily, instead choosing to either stand her ground or use her agility to 'retreat'. She is still only young and as such is in no position to have her personalty defined.

Breed Description: Southern Apollos are a mount bred purely for war. Their stocky build and large frame allow them to be used as heavy cavalry as they are capable of speed but also strength. Known for their aggression and fiery tempers Southern Apollos are sought after mounts by mounted militant groups, not an ideal horse for inexperienced or novice riders.

Current Owner: Starke McHaryn

Price: 200 Minas (Capable of breeding)

NOTE: This lass is capable of breeding, will only

Lilac Roan Southern Apollo, Colt/foal (stallion)

CarrockSouthernAPOLLOCourser_zps96b26c4a

Name: Carrok

Breed: Southern Apollo

Height: Currently 9 hands but will grow to approximately 16 hands high.

Horse type: Courser (Foal)

Sex: Colt, currently incapable of breeding due to age. However in time will be capable. (STALLION)

Description: Carrok is a 14 month old male foal. He is young and untrained but his breed is of an extremely high quality. He has a lilac roan coat, a white star and well toned fetlocks. He looks to grow into a fine animal with proportionality sized limbs and body.

Personality: He seems inquisitive even for a foal, and somewhat proud, a usual trademark of his breed. At this tender age his true personality is unknown, but he is very young and at the prime age for training. He enjoys bursts of speed even so far as to challenge older horses. Definitely a fine quality mount, but as stated personality yet fully discovered. If you are a capable trainer perhaps you could train him to refrain from the art of war, but his breed is purely for war and so he will make a fine fast warhorse.

NOTE: This fine fellow is capable of breeding, I only wish to sell him to a trusted group as the McHaryn horse breeders are the only people with the ability to breed southern apollos.

*Rydel notices the note, skimming over it. Smiling, he scraws a note on a piece of paper " I want them all-"  before noticing something, re-reading over he drops the note, a sad look on his face.

I would very much like to inspect one of your Bay haryn Stallions. It appears a magnificient animal, but before purchasing I would like to get a closer look. If you would like to send me a bird, send it to Feldkirch, closeby to Salvus.

Signed,

William Riverstone

Farok passes through Oren, a particular notice catches his attention. He scans through it briefly, mentally highlighting. He chortles shortly afterwards, heading back to his comrades to send word.

Zevandir spies the note, and, having not seen the man he considers his lord for months, scrawls a brief note.

"My lord,

during my venture into the wilds, I came upon a horse, relatively large, he appears to be swift and of some strength, he is picketed in the fort. Could you please inspect him for me?

My thanks, Zevandir"

He looks at the note in satisfaction, and walks away.

((They have been in development for a fair while.

As for everyone else, you may or may not get the horses in 1.6. It all depends on what we can psychically/RPly do))

((I am assuming you're asking how I got these horses as 4 year olds and things rights? Well as I stated for the first time McHaryn horses are being offered for sale. These weren't created overnight, i've actually roleplay wise had them for a while in a horse field set up as blocks))
