Mithradites 1168 Share Posted April 12, 2013 Within the confines of Lucion Sullas' coat, lies a myriad of strange objects of both curiosity and practicality. One such pocket in particular holds an item of both qualities. Wedged between scrunched-up note-paper, and what appears to be a small, dented plate of spelter, lies a black notebook, with the initials-- L.S. --written in golden ink. Were you to open this little tome, you would see innumerable, scribbled notes of varying legibility and rough illustrations, that could only make sense if coupled with the scratchy prose. At the beginning, there lies what appears to be a missive from the author. Though one never expected working on conventional projectile weapons would be a truly rewarding experience, one is officially at his wit's end. At this very moment I can fathom no other research that I have been more utterly bored in working on than this accursed "ballistae" as it should be called. Today, I am ashamed to say that my mind wandered to other topics during my testing of the current models range. This has never occurred before. However, one already realises his foolishness in even attempting to try and create something that a mere human can build and operate. The process by which it is "invented" is simply to obvi eas undera simple. My mind is driven to other tasks due to its genuine lack of complexity. How could one place such a burden of simplicity on one's unfathomably grand mental functions? One should receive punishment for such a crime! Regardless, making "conventional" weaponry is utterly dull, and thusly I shall now strive to create "unconventional" weaponry--something to bite my intellectual teeth into while I wait for my Lightning Conduction Pole to be hammered into formation. And that will take time. It will still be a "projectile weapon" however. And something I can use my previous "ballistae" upon. A noticeable gap between the previous paragraph and the next is apparent. I started launching things from around the labs at the wall using the ballistae. Everything just smashed against the wall in a dreadfully boring manner. However, I then used a small, disk of spelter from my work-desk, and a noticed a change in flight, as it tilted from its launch, and "flew" out the doorway to the right. A most interesting development. It requires further investigation.
