The Evaporation

The ranger comes into Salvus to purchase leather, and notices the shortages. Out of sheer curiosity, he searches the city for iron. Every shop he encounters is inactive. HIs interest grows, and brings him to the note on the notice board. As he reads it, the ranger staggers backward, as if hit by an unseen wall of force. He turns, and leaves Salvus hurriedly.
