Parcels For The Elders.

As each Elder goes about their day, a small round parcel was left for each of them at each of their respective burrows. Inside was a small wooden box filled with very fresh pipe weeds, a collection of drawings, and a letter addressed to them as a whole.

Dearest Lenfarthing Elders,

I am writing to you all to request a small plot of land on the outskirts of town so that I may build a humble burrow. I am hoping to contribute greatly to the town and our people as a whole. As a traveler of this land I feel greatly at ease with the comings and goings of our Human and Elvish neighbors. Should I be allowed to live along the road's edge it would be easier for me to hold communications with those that know so little about us. It would also be easier for me to receive news of the outside world so that we are more aware of bad tidings sooner rather than later.

I greatly appreciate your time and hope that all finds you well. I also hope the pipe weeds I sent find you all well as well.

Sincerely,

Rogen Thickfeet III

Folded with the letter were three simple drawings of the area Rogen had written about. The first showing the town farm and windmill on the edge of town, the second showing the road that led towards human settlements, and the third showing a hillside where Rogen was intending to dig his burrow.

((Link to images of the burrow plans. Small place to avoid ridiculousness. 4 simple rooms, and I think its only 17x22 blocks and a single floor that is at max 4-5 blocks high. http://imgur.com/a/72oDX))

Cracks of light entered the burrow on the hill, and a familiar knock of one of Postmaster Pete's couriers sounded from the door. Stretching the Elder walked to the door, his hair messy and his breakfast not yet made. The courier handed him a package smiling brightly before conversing with him,

"Beau'iful weatheh we be 'avin'."

Bolo nods in agreement, smiling as his eyes adjust to the light,

"Special mail I assume?"

The courier nods, handing him the parcel as Bolo grabs his parcel opening device, he reads over the letter and looks at the sketches not sure whether he's ever met the lad or his family. He sets the letter down, giving the courier a hearty handshake and dressing in his shirt, pants, and finally slips on his vest walking out to go find this new Halfling.

After discussing with an elder the unorthodox location, Rogen was offered a burrow in the town itself.

"I guess that will have to do for now." he said with a disappointed sigh.

He waited in the inn with his belongings for a few more days until the assignment was completed.
