Zudah Tribe

The Zudah tribe was founded many generations ago, although kept secret and silent to save the trouble of of being seen dishonorable as a previous generation had bred with dark elves, causing the new generations to be a mixture of both elven and orcish blood resulting in a blue color of skin.

The War Nation had collapsed, civil war has broken among the clans once again. It was time, if they would not reveal themselves and come out to the public eye now, they’ll be killed anyway in the upcoming disastrous warfare among clans and tribes.

Through time and generations of remaining hidden from the public, they oversaw the happenings around in the lands of the Orcs. Some things they praised and respected, some things that were disgusted with.

One thing is very clear, they respect and praise Krug. However, they also have their own beliefs and story telling of their environment. Datu is the deity that is in the form of a ball of flames that hovers over the sky, providing light to expose the enemies and preys of the tribe. Natu is the deity that is in the form of the souls of past members who're deceased (stars) and the ball of light that dances, thus causing it to change forms e.g. crescent, full moon. Natu is believed by the tribe to show the way, therefore, they praise Natu to show their way home, if the deity doesn’t show the way home, the tribe member(s) blame themselves for being ignorant and paying attention.

The tribe praises both deities after Krug, yelling out chants to welcome and greet each apparent deity whenever they appear. However, the tribe doesn’t take the two deities for granted. They believe the must ‘rent’ them to be on their side for daily tasks, therefore live sacrifices and blood rituals occur as a sign of thanks and payment. Another way to ‘pay’ for their help is by doing something rather surprising for a group of violent people. They are forced to agree with each other, and not to argue, if a member is angered at another, he’d store the anger as ‘fuel’ for combat. No one will oppose each other, all will be spoken around the bonfire as Natu hovers and dances over the darkness, which we call the sky.

Appearance

The Zudah Tribe are known for their infamous dark-faded blue skin colour otherwise, their dark-faded purple skin and mass amount of jewelry they put for display, ranging from earrings to custom made ‘metal funnels’ around their tusks for display, and at times for extra protection.

The males can be everything from 6’3” - 7'1", whilst the women are rather shorter, at an average of 5’11” - 6’9”.  Quite noticeably for orcs and others who oversee the Zudah tribe, you’d realise that the people of the Zudah tribe has rather odd tusks compared to those of a regular orc due to their facial shapes, causing them to speak clearer than majority of orcs. The males have thicker and more diagonal growing tusks as for a female has more straightened tusks with a thinner structure and shorter length. The members of the tribe has strong, broad and rough hands making them almost like a ‘tougher leather’ like a regular orc, however,  much more broad and prone for harsh activities such as climbing. Due to generations of living in the jungle and having the mindset to evade incoming branches when scrambling through the harsh jungles, the Zudah tribe tend to remain hunched-over, as they’re more comfortable to do so. Standing up feels rather uncomfortable, and a bit ‘alien’ to them, as it would make them easily exposed when in the jungle. Naturally, as if a reflex, they’d be found squatting or
hunched-over majority of the time.

Attitude/Behavior

Having to be always looking around and rather paranoid when not in their habitat (jungle) the group is mostly very xenophobic. This makes them feel much more aware of their ‘strange’ environments, and somewhat frightened of the unknown and changes. They don’t enjoy being in the public eye, they’d much rather be in an empty/less populated alleyway to travel through a populated city such as Salvus.

Although intensely paranoid and violent if provoked, they’re rather neutral provided the victim is out of their range and doesn’t pose to be a threat. It is extremely rare for a Zudah to accept an ‘ally’ which has no ties with the tribe in the first place.

It is often to find members of the tribe travelling in a group when outside of their natural habitat. The Zudah feel much more comfortable when in a group as they can defend and communicate with each other with ease. When alone, the Tribe members are usually quiet and they keep to themselves only speaking few words when confronted and forced to be less violent to avoid being targeted by a community.

Rather than killing for little reason as majority of orcs do, the Zudah would
leave the area rather than fighting. If a member was unable to leave the area they would engage in more preferably unarmed combat. However, if the stakes are high or any unnecessary risks are to clear, they’d use weapons. This results usually in murder, then the defiling of the corpse, beheading and marking them, to show that they were a victim. Their heads would be impaled through a pike around their habitat, to draw intimidation and fear into trespassers/explorers.

Warfare

Despite the fact that the Zudah tribe lacks in number due to the low fertility
passed on from their elven ancestors, they make up for it using teamwork
and their environments to their advantage.

Along with strange hair choices and jewelry, they’re rather unadaptive of new
technology. Although aware that there could be steel-iron heads for
their spears, to save resources and to follow ancient tradition, they’d
mostly use flint-heads for hunting. However, if they expect trouble,
they’d switch to steel-iron.

Their melee weapons, such as scimitars and tomahawks would be made out of
either steel or iron, being the only main exception to be made by such
refined materials.

Before any upcoming war/fight, the tribe would coat their faces with white
warpaint to resemble the spirits, basically to say they’re with the
spirits and merging as one to combine their strength (but, of course
this doesn’t actually work). Another color would be black, this would be
put to wear when a member of the tribe had recently passed away, or
tragic has occurred within the tribe.
