His family had a good amount of money, but not an insane amount of it. His father was a very skilled blacksmith, one of the finest in the lands. When he was a young boy, he would do chores around his fathers blacksmith (Cleaning up, shining, carrying supplies, tending the furnace, etc.) and his father would give him some coin as a reward to spend on sweets at the local market. When he turned 13, his father showed him his ways, and became an apprentice blacksmith. He would then know how to create only the finest blades and armor. After five years of hard work and training, his father declared him no longer an apprentice, but an official blacksmith at the age of 18. He is now a full fledged blacksmith at the age of 22. His mother and father are still alive, but their health is not too well, (His father is 43, and his mother is 41.) He is now traveling around the world to have his name heard and to teach others. Ambitions for the Future: To be the finest blacksmith in all the lands.Personality: An extrovert, very creative, and intelligent. Quite a bookworm as well. I am a light skinned man with black hair, a beard, and I am wearing a brownish grey blacksmith's tunic with a tool belt (Hammers and etc.). I also have brown eyes.Any other details you wish to share about your character: My character is 6 feet tall (2 m). Brown eyes. Black hair with a beard. Muscular from all of the smith work he has done in his life. Weighs 197 lbs.. Favorite season is winter since it is not as hot than the summer while doing smith work.Open-Response-QuestionsEach question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.____1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?Answer: I would walk over to the guards nearby and mention that he looks very suspicious. I would keep this quiet since I wouldn't want the would be criminal to hear this because he would not do whatever he was going to do. I would ask the guards to keep a close eye on him and to keep my name anonymous, because I wouldn't want the would be criminal to get revenge on me if he somehow found out my name when I spoiled his plans.2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armor and an iron longsword, how do you react?Answer: I would go over and question what and why they are doing this, even if I am threatening my own life. I will not simply watch an old man get robbed or even murdered, and nor will I be a coward and run. If they want coin, I will give them coin to leave him alone. If they attack me however, I will defend myself and the old man. Once the bandits are gone or dead, I would help the old man get back to health and keep him company until he feels he no longer needs my help or company no longer. 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colorful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).Answer: I would ask to buy anything that would be in handy for a blacksmith of course! That means iron, gold, diamonds, and coal for the furnaces as well. I am a very generous man, so I would not go too low with the price, but I would offer lower than the current value since I do need to make money, and I don't want it to cost too much to own a blacksmith! I will pay any taxes and tips as well if necessary.
Princeton 396 Share Posted May 29, 2013 -- - Unfortunately, I am going to have to deny this - Your biography was a little short and didn't have much LoTC lore in it. In your biography, make sure to include things such as parent names, places, etc. to prove you've read and know about LoTC. Explain things your father made you do to become a blacksmith to really round out your character. Secondly, your ORQ's were short and didn't seem to have a lot of effort put into them. You should add things such as dialogue and detailed actions to really paint a situation vividly. Refer to an implemented application if you need an example. Perhaps add an example to your meta-gaming definition? Please wait 24 hours after this denial to reapply. Feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns.
