My King, your army is in dismay, they lack potential, strength, strategy. I do think you should start up a new force, the Oren Military. You, must only pick the best Strategist as your General, since guards these days do not think.

Recruits think they have much power, many are quitting, payment is not regulated, discipline is not shown, bandits roam in our cities without anything being done, the bay can be accessed easily since there are not walls, we must have a dock gate house there. There must be a reformed army for Oren.

We must show our true might. For the sake of our safety and people, we must fix something here, something needs to be done.

I put Vardak in charge of the guard as captain and Military Advisor. Once he has fixed the guard he will choose a new Captain. Regarding pay, you get about 100 a week, its low but once we have a working tax system it will be mush much higher.

And i believe this is not the was forward and we need as much help as possible by having many Guards , Vardak is developing a Skill&Rank system to Determain Rank and Position on the Guard.

Every Arm is another Undead scum Gone. As we have many Trained swordsman such as I and Atzlan aswell as All the other Guards and Higher officers. For example me and Atzlan found a secret entrance to the undead fort.

But when you recruit a halfling who's got no idea what to do, or even where the jail is? We have to act big otherwise people question us.

I 'preciate the help you give, especially Guard Hayden, who's a good friend of mine now, as I'm starting to be cozying up in the guard.

The thing is sir, I'm an archer.

My job is on the wall, yet I'm in the gatehouse operating it while everyone else is gallivanting across the countryside.

What am I supposed to do?

Halfling? I have not recruited any halfling, I recently recruited just an elf.

Despite Alkhazar having such a large military force Alkhazar itself is full of defensive flaws. The North Gate is never manned and is always open. The South gate is where every guard goes. The sewers need patrolling of fortified entrances to stop people slipping in. Western wall has a gap in it so people can get to the farms. There is never guards there. Anyone can just walk into Alkhazar through the backdoor and be at the church in under 10 seconds without a single guard on sight. I can say that the new King is working on the defenses as there is a new keep guard tower but the outer walls also need more work. this is not just a problem for structures, the Oren guard themselves are not manning the walls or patrolling the city other than the southern gate.

However, I'm unable to do my job, because it seems whenever I wake up to go on my shift, there is no one guarding the gate, nor letting people in or out.

I've recently been told to just let the gate be, and continue to patrol the walls, but as it stands, why guard a wall when they can already walk right in?

Very few people in the guard seem to stay in Alkhazar besides myself, Felix, the other archers, and the occasional Ranger.

Guard Hayden is a very reputable guard and stays there to do his shift, but insofar, he's the only actual GUARD guarding anything.

I do admit, the north gate is quite an issue. but when I'm being swamped for answers each other way, I tend to get a bit frustrated. I've tried to fix the guard and all I get was "not enough pay" or "Damn orc running the Oren Guard? What is the King thinking?" I've just about had it

If you do not man the gates. I will have you removed from the guard.

Unless Dismissed by me, you are not to leave the gate.

I'm still working hard on a new system that will work and I'm trying to find someone I can trust to become Captain once I fix the guard.

Until then I will get some respect and I WILL have my men working. If i do not see you on the gates, Or chasing down people on the roof. I will have you removed. I mean it.
