*Rosso sits down as he writes a letter. He thinks for a while on who to send it to, and decides on Igor, being the one he speaks to the most. After writing the letter he sends a messeger to the capital to deliver it.*

"Good day,

I would like a meeting with you to be done in VaerHaven which would concern the newly created Glacial Guards, and how they will influence and join up with the legion and the Dwarven Kingdom. Many aspects will be talked about, and as such I believe that face to face would be the ideal way to do so. Please meet me at VaerHaven's tavern where we can drink while we talk in two days. I hope to see you there, and I have contacted you due to our previous understandings and talks, I hope you don't mind.

Stay safe,

Rosso, Jarl of the Hold of VaerHaven."

*After the two days pass, Rosso awaits for Igor to show,so that the talk can be made.*

((this is rp to happen in the forums if possible, as timezones conflict with meetings.))

*Igor receives the letter and reads it, he decides to reply*

" Dear Rosso

Ah 'ave received yer letter and ah shall show up in twu days n' speak wit' ye, ah look forward te our conversation

Signed

Igor Ireheart"

*Igor gives the note to Jemima, his halfling courier and sends it to Vaerhaven. Two days pass and Igor goes to the tavern in Vaerhaven, he see's Rosso sitting down and sits in a seat infront of him*

" 'ello Rosso, ye wanted teh speak wit' meh 'bou' yer newleh formed Glacial Guard? Well 'ere ah ahm, tell me w'ot ye 'ave te say."

*Igor then awaits Rosso's response, wondering what he is about to say*

*Rosso hears Igor pass through the door and nods to him. He stands up as he talks and heads behind the tavern. More people are in the tavern, mostly residents, but some unknown faces in the mix as well.*

Oi pal, welcome again to VaerHaven. First off would you like any brew? We have the potato brew, the seaweed brew, and then I bought quite a lot of Azgoth Ale from Dom, since the potato and seaweed brew are not really all that good.

*As he waits for the response to this question he fills a mug for himshelf*

About the Glacial Guards... I assume the legion would come see me about them, so I came to you before it, to properly start the Guard, with full knowledge of what they will do and what they can do. Seeing as most of the dwarves who serve the Kingdom in battle are part of the Legion, we are left with elves and humans, which I believe would mean they must be trained differently, but I believe would still have to join the legions in their big trainings. Is that right?

*Igor looks at Rosso and thinks for a second, before replying*

"Aye ah would loike some ale if ye dunnae moind, some Azgoth shall do meh noiceleh, n' teh answer yer question, yer guard /can/ participate in dwarven practoices, weh basicalleh guh ova' teh fermations do some drill excersises, n' foinalleh weh 'ave a ton ov' mock sieges n' spars, 'owever w'ot weh usualleh do wit' teh guards is train tehre commander on all teh dwarven fermations n' trainin' techniques n' such, t'ehn 'e shall train yer men, sooh' t'at t'ey dunnae need teh come to our citeh n' train wit' us n' leave their own citeh unguarded. 'owever sometoimes weh can ask yer guards teh participate in mock sieges wit' us, n' sooh' weh duh teh legion vs yer guard. Alsuh know t'at somtoimes weh make 'olds foite against eachotha' in mock battles wit' wooden swords, teh see wich 'old 'as teh best militareh."

*Igor then stops for a moment, then speaks again*

" 'ave ye recruited aneh men to yer guard yet?"

*Rosso nods to Igor as he picks a mug and a bottle of Azgoth's ale. Removing the cork with his teeth, he then pour in the mug.*

"Ash Ish taosh" He spits the cork to the side "Sorry. As I thought, there will be connections between the legion and the guards that are stationed here. For now I am the one in charge of the Guard, as I have not yet found one capable enough, who also is loyal and has the ability to teach. So for now I will be the one who would have to receive the knowledge of the tactics, but I'll come to it again."

*Roso makes his way to the table with the two mugs in his hand, and places one down in front of Igor. He takes a quick sip before continue speaking*

"As for your question, right now I have a few, but not many (I have 3 besides me). I am also gathering others outside the military to aid them in important knowledge, such as first aid, and uses of the wildlife around for surviving. The one I gathered is a healer, kind of very exagerated when dealing with nature, almost like a druid, but as such, can give the knowledge of the plants around the area, and their uses both in healing, and the reverse, those which are dangerous. I will also try to contact Kardel or Bardel to teach rudementary potions and oils which can aid in the cold lands." He takes another sip before continuing to talk "Now, about the way I was going to train them. Being as they are humans and elves, and would fight in the cold lands, I'm going to train them to survive in the cold, travel in the cold, and their weapons won't be warhammers and swords, but spears and halberds. It fits better with guards and protectors, a sword requires close quarters, a spear is more for defence. What would you think of that?"

*Igor takes a sip of his ale, liking the taste, he puts the mug back on the table and begins to speak*

" T'ank ye fer teh ale, it tastes vereh noice. Now tehre beh nooh' problem wit' w'ot weapons yer men use, it beh completely up to ye, 'owever ye should make 'em light, as maneh people will run if confronted sooh' t'ey will git' away if yer men 'ave 'eaveh weapons. Ahm glad ye 'ave contacted a 'ealer as ye will definateleh need 'un, n' ahm sure Kardel will beh willin' teh give' ye some 'elp buildin' traps usin' 'is potions. Al'tough yer men will defend yer town, undahstand t'at in war toimes t'ey will beh required teh foite fer teh dwarves sooh' t'ey will need teh beh able teh attack. Like ah did before, ah can git' a few men teh join ye, 'er install n' alreadeh militareh ordah teh become yer guard. Ah know twu ordahs t'at moite beh interested, 'owever ye would 'ave teh trust 'em. Ah saw yer uniform n' it could use a little tunin', n' if ye can 'ave teh flag ov' Urguan on teh side teh show yer allegiance to teh Kingdom. 'ave ye aneh'tin' else ye need teh talk 'bou'?

*Igor finishes speaking and takes another sip of his ale, he awaits Rosso's response*

*Looks at Igor a bit strangelly*

"Well, spears are not heavy weapons, I believe they would be the best for defense. Thought for attacking they can still do quite well in assisting. I know they would have to aid the dwarves in battle, that is why I asked if the legion and the Guards would have trainings together, we must know our forces, and the power each part has. Now... as for those groups you mentioned, I would want to learn more about them. I have kicked from town the Blood Eagles so now we have space for new groups to join town. On the other hand, I would perfer them to join the Glacial Guards, then just be a group themselves. To trust pals, I need to be with them first, and see what they do in certain situations. If they can not take orders from me for example, I can not have them in town. When I tell them to drop their weapons I need them to do so, and when I say for someone to be captured alive, I do not want them to place a pike through his chest."

*stops talking for a bit as he takes another sip of the ale. He takes a look down at his uniform*

"Well... about the uniform... Sure, but I would like a tailor or someone who knows what to do with it to change it (I need a skinner...). Thought the uniform needs to be warm, they are leathered, and oh." He opens his jacket showing the inside which is made with chainmail "Making the inside of the robes protected with chainmail works quite well. On the other hand, full plate armor can not be done, for three reasons. First we are guards, we need to be able to move quickly. Second we are in snow lands, with ice rivers and lakes, we can not be heavy or the ice and deep snow won't hold and the cold if with plate armor will get to us quick. Thirdly, we are in mountain lands, and as such we might have to climb and descend mountains, which we can not easily do in plate armor. (all this doesn't matter in pvp I know, but in rp it matters, and we don't have iron for iron plate :P) I believe you understand those points?

*Rosso finishes his ale as well as he awaits the response*

*Igor looks back at Rosso*

Ah undahstand ye dunnae trust maneh, n' ah cannae ask ye teh trusth aneh'un w'o 'asnae earned it,  n' aye t'ey would become yer guards, not t'eir own ordah. Alsuh ah 'ave n' idea 'bou' teh uniform, would ye agree wit' usin' different coloured legion uniforms, instead ov' bein' our own colours weh can specialleh make 'em sooh' t'at t'ey are light blue n' such n' can coincide wit' yer towns colours. Onleh if ye want te, though. Ah undahstand t'at ye need light armur n' ah dunnae moind.

*Igor takes another sip of his ale, awaiting Rosso's response*

'Marley' enters the tavern and orders some tea. She takes it and sits at a table next to Rosso's as she listens to the conversation keeping her head bowed, a hood over her face.  Her clothes are as black as night and she appears unarmed.  She pulls out a book and begins sipping her tea as she reads it.

*Listens carefully as Igor talks, just taking a look at Marley when she enters, and not really doing more than a welcoming nod.*

I would believe a different uniform would fit us best, if there isn't any problems. With the help of a tailor I'll add the color's of the kingdom to a flag on the side of the arms. Please leave the contact of the guilds you mentioned, I would like to have a word with them. And I believe that is all, for now at least. I'll contact you again when I the training starts and when the pals of the Guard can do something. You can stay and enjoy another ale if you want thought, and talk about other things.

*Awaits for Igor to respond, to say his farewells, or continue the talk*

*Alek and Delric in every day legion outfits and ironclad await for their squad leader, Igor at the doors of the tavern in Vaerhaven. They arrived a tad later than the squad leader because of important Grandaxe business. Snowflakes fall on their armor as they stand still. Finding themselves extremely bored Alek and Delric play around a little by setting dirty imagery in each others minds and sharing the gossip they heard on their lonesome travels.

"Dis beh fecking borenh aint it?", Alek asks Delric.

*Delric nods to Alek.

'Marley' notices other legion members arrive and glances toward Rosso... she gets up and finishes her tea.  Leaving the book on the table opened to a page.  A note appears to be written on the page if anyone were to look at it.

To Rosso and concerning parties.  I am around and are watching my eyes are everywhere, I have made agreements with Rosso that I would assist the dwarfs if certain conditions were meet.  I have never meant ill toward them and supported you until you attacked and tried to imprison my Fiancé' .  I am willing to speak with you one on one on my terms.  We may be killers but we are also valuable assists and if used correctly I believe with the right motivations you could use our talents for you instead of against you.

The Fallen Flame

She gets up and heads out the side door quietly with another group of people leaving as she blends into the crowd.

Ellsia casually walks into the bar on one of her strolls through Vaerhaven, and notices the book, mainly the word "Fallen" on it. She proceeds to wonder if it has any connection with Vallel, unaware of who the hell left it there anyways.

*Igor see's Marley, but doesn't really care, he then looks back at Rosso and speaks*

"Fair enough, twas just a suggestion, n' ah moite beh able teh git' ye a tailor. Ah just t'ought n' 'un ov' teh guilds wouldnae beh able teh, 'owever teh otha' 'un, "Teh Celets, 'er teh Corridians" miote beh interested. n' aye remembah teh contact meh again, ahm goin' tae 'ead uff now, ah 'ave 'ad enuff ale fer now. G'boi Rosso."

*Igor chugs his ale and puts the mug onto the table, he then gets up off the chair and orders Alek and Delric to come with him back to Kal'Azgoth.*

*Rosso stands up as well and looks at the open book on the table. He sighs thiking a customer left it there and goes to get it. When there, he reads the first line and speaks*

"Wait pal. This is for you." He grabs the book and takes it to Igor "Seems the lassy received my messege, which means I can be the one in between you both talking. When you want to discuss the rest with her, tell me what you wish to be sent, and I'll send it."

*Rosso holds the book for Igor to read before he leaves.*
