Full Name: Orion Ventis

Orion and his brother Apollo Come from a family of four, their father,
Dante Ventis, was a Blacksmith for three years until he decided to build the
family a home in the wild. Orion and his brother traveled to an inn with their
mother while their father went to search for a nice piece of land to build the
family's new home. His mother, Amelia Ventis, was a Librarian and taught Orion
and his brother about some of the history of the great city and read them
stories of heroes of the past while their father was gone. In his spare time
Orion enjoyed doing combat training in the fields of Kingston with his brother,
he very much enjoyed using a bow, whereas Apollo enjoyed the company of his
blade. After 5 long months his father had finally returned to tell them their
new home was built, it was next to a beautiful river and mountain.

It was then that the war against the coalition started. Due the
increasing danger in Salvus, his father had instructed Orion and his brother to
leave to go on their own to be safe. The night before they were to set off on
their journey there was an attack on the family’s home and it was raided by
some men. Orion and Apollo hid from the men attacking but witnessed both their
parents die in front of their eyes. Not knowing what they should do Orion and
his brother set off the next morning in search of their new lives and purpose.
Neither of them knew where they would end up in life, they just wanted to get
away from the awful memories they we would now hold in our hearts forever. The
memory of their parent’s death has brought Orion and his brother to work harder
at their combat training so that they would never have to lose anyone they
loved again.

Throughout their lives we always wondered why their home had been
attacked and parents killed. One day Orion and his brother agreed to set off to
see the priest of Kingston who their father had introduced them to when they
were still young. When asked if he had known anything he told them their father
was not only a blacksmith, but was also a mercenary. “He was hired mostly for
killing off guild leaders” he had said, “Although on one job the guild leader
fought back before he could finish the job, and the guild leader had hired an
assassin to kill your father in revenge. The assassins are ruthless people so
that is why they killed your mother as well. You should indeed feel lucky they
had not found you or you may not have been here talking with me now.” The
priest sat the two brothers down and told them that they should forget about
their parent’s killers and live a clean new life in the world Anthos. “There
are many opportunities so do your best.” After the long talk with the priest,
Orion and Apollo decided that they would try to forget their parent’s death and
start a new life on their own, but their parent’s souls would always have a
place in their hearts until the day they died.




Ambitions for the Future: Orion thrive to be a bowmaster so he may
become a great huntsman and protect the ones he loves so he would never have to
witness another tragedy like the death of his parent’s

Personality: Orion is a very humorous man, sometimes he can
come off sarcastic and that makes people who don’t thoroughly know him get
angry as they take it the wrong way. He tends to be very kind in nature, but
will defend his honor if need be. Although mainly trustworthy and open, he
holds his own deep dark secrets inside and only chooses to share those with his
twin brother Apollo.

Skills: Orion’s main skills are with his bow, his brother has
taught him some swordplay but still prefers long range to anything else. He has
great hunting instincts and quick reflexes when provoked.

Orion is a tan skinned human, he is 5’9 with deep green eyes, dark brown medium
length hair, and a muscular build.

Orion holds one secret about himself that he refuses to share even with
his brother Apollo to whom he tells everything to.

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure
stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within
shouting distance - what do you do?



Answer: As Orion is wandering in the capital road he notices a dark figure making his way
toward the Emperor's palace. Orion makes his way toward him slowly, also
keeping a good grip on his dagger. The dark figure quickly turns around and
attempts to stab Orion. Orion says to the dark figure with a light glare
"Death is the only outcome of those who have done
righteousness". As the dark figure
lets out a short but light laugh, Orion grabs the dark figure and points his
dagger directly next to his neck and calls for a guard, "Guards, Guards,
we have an assassin trying to kill the Emperor. The guards rush toward Orion
but as they get there the dark figure is no longer in his grasps. Orion wonders
if he was only imagining this.





2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large
clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an
unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed
bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?



Answer: While traveling through a deep oak forest doing some hunting,
Orion stumbles across a large clearing. In the center of the large clearing he
notices a small cottage. the cottage is well built with cobblestone walls,
stained glass windows and a beautiful spruce wood door with engravings on it.
Outside the house is a sturdy deck with an unstable looking old man standing on
it holding a small iron blade. Upon closer examination Orion also sees two
heavily armed bandits that appear to be threatening him. Orion decides to get
closer to see exactly what is going on. "Listen old man, all we want is
your valuables, don't make this hard on yourself" one bandit said. sternly
the old man says, "I will not give anything to a couple of creeps like
you, my valuables are the only thing I have to remember my late wife and you
shall not take them." "We know what your hiding old man now give it
to us before we get angry." says the bandit. It is at that moment
Orion notices the second bandit start to draw his sword, Orion knows he must
act quick. without thinking Orion runs into the clearing and yells "HEY!
GET AWAY FROM HIM YOU SCUM." The first bandit, who looks to be the leader
of the two, motions for his partner to go after Orion. Although as het turns to
go after Orion the old man seizes the opportunity to strike him down. Acting
quick the first bandit strikes the man with his sword and the man falls to the
ground, fatally wounded. As the bandit raises his sword to take the final blow
Orion runs up behind him and pushes him off the deck. The bandit hits his head
off a rock and is knocked out cold. Orion runs to the old man and says
"Don't worry I'll get you some help, your going to be ok."
"No." the old man replies, "It is to late for me, you must go
upstairs and in the large chest is a map, Take it and keep it safe for as long
as you live." "What is it?" Orion asks. "It is a map to one
of the greatest and most powerful treasures in existence, if it falls into the
wrong hands terror will rain upon this land for centuries to come."
Sensing the sincerity in the old man's voice Orion rushes into the house and
grabs the map. As he is exiting the house he notices the old man is no longer
there and neither is the bandit. Orion has no idea what is going on but decides
the best thing to do is to hide the map so that no one will ever lay eyes on it
again.











3. You are standing
within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful
stall. You approach the stall and notice that the
man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just
about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion
that happens).



Answer: While walking through the mighty human capital one day Orion
notices a short man at a colourful stall selling a huge variety of general
goods. Orion has some spare change so he walks over to the man and asks him the
price of his wares. "I have no set price for my wares sir" said the
man shakily "I am sure that we can work out a decent price that we
can agree upon". at the moment Orion notices a beautifully crafted
bow and knows he must have it, noticing the man is nervous Orion decides
to barter with the man to try and get a good deal. "I will offer you 50
minas for this bow" Orion said sternly to the man.
"well..." says the man "I d believe this bow is worth much more
then that". Orion, still noticing hesitation in the mans voice, says to
the man "The bow itself is a little worn, is it used?".
"the bow is slightly used, but I still believe it is worth more then 50
minas" although the man seems very shaky when he says this. Orion then
says to the man "I have trained with bows my entire life, I will offer you
100 minas but I shall not go higher for a bow that is used." The man
decides to accept Orion's offer sensing Orion will not take no for an
answer. Orion then hands the man the 100 minas. Orion thanks the man and
tells him he will surely be back to see him again, very pleased with the cheap
price he was able to buy his new bow for Orion heads off into the wilds to do
some training with it.
