IC Information

RP Name (This includes your character’s prefix): Kitten Safiir

Character Sub-race: Kha’Pantera

Character appearance (Including age and gender):

Similar to her father, Safiir has the dark fur of a Pantera while retaining the trait of light blue eyes as inherited from her mother. Her build is nothing exceptional, excepting that she is a bit smaller than other Kharajyr her age. For a female, her hair is in a length in between medium and long, and is even darker than her fur. Being fairly young at the moment, she wears but simple leather clothing. As she becomes older, she will adopt the fashion ideals of her parents and forsake her bland leather garb.

What is the personality of your character like?:

Safiir is sincere and passionate, at times even a bit overly emotional. She holds pride in her family and devoutly follows the will of Metzli as would be told by her parents and religious authorities. She can be fierce in anger, cheerful in joy, and sunken in sadness. Safiir is not afraid to speak her mind, and from her mouth proceeds the contents of her heart.

Biography (If you are applying as a kitten, please only state the name of your parents/siblings)

Kitten:

Mother- Ki'lorei
Father- Do'Zhadaar

(Possibly other siblings as well. Unclear of who and how many)

Character’s ambitions within the Kharajyr:

Safiir would very much like to follow in the footsteps of her father, as to protect her lands with fierce blade. Though currently untrained in fighting, one day she may be able to advance in this pursuit. She is also partial to becoming a religious leader, a pursuit similar to her mother's, as the appeal of passionately serving her people in prayer and ceremony draws her in. Though it is possible that some of these dreams are misconceived to be greater than she believes, Safiir will pursue these goals for the foreseeable future.

Character’s strengths/weaknesses:

Strengths:

Weapons of the Kharajyr: Safiir has been blessed to be born into a race that has natural defences like sharp teeth and retractable claws.

Emotional Investment: In the many things she does, Safiir almost puts a piece of herself into it. She will, for the most part, do everything she does to the best of her mental and physical ability.

Weaknesses:

Blind Fury: When extremely angered, Safiir has a tendency to lose track of her own well-being. She will recklessly pursue her current goal, even if it means death. However, this fury can be disarmed by a high voice of reason, such as from a close friend, relative, or other high authority.

Stature: Though not such a large weakness, Safiir stands shorter than most pantera her age.

Situational Roleplay Questions

1. You are heading home from a successful hunting trip when a group of three heavily armoured humans jump out from behind a tree and start demanding the surrender of your catch over to them. Each man has a sword drawn and they are gradually pacing towards you...

How does your character react?

As the armoured men approach, Safiir lowers herself closer to the ground. Her eyes narrow at their approach and she cradles her catch in her arm defensively. It's apperant that the men are desperately hungry as they form a circle around her; why else would they try to steal food from a natural born predator? She would not dare lose this catch, certainly not to the unblessed apes that desecrate even the land that they live on. Safiir quickly tosses the catch into her mouth and bounds on all fours toward a nearby tree, to try and climb it. As she passes through the opening, one of the men strides toward the gap, blindly swinging his sword.

Safiir's hind leg is caught by the sword as her claws dig into the tree. Determined, she still tries to climb the tree, but to no aid of her foot. Without the support of her hind claws, she slides down the tree quickly and rolls off onto her back. The men quickly approach, taking the raw meat that fell from her mouth. Rolling back onto three feet, Safiir glares at the armoured men. Taking what they came for, one bearded man tells the others "We have what we need. Best not to wake this kitty's friends."

Baring her teeth, she answers "Safiir is nawt a kitten..." She leaps forward to attack the bearded man.

(I suppose I’ll leave it there)

2. You arrive at the temple of Metztli only to see one of your closest friends stealing the sacred blue gems from the altar, a most unholy act for a Kharajyr.

How does your character react?

A deep heaviness falls upon Safiir’s heart. One paw reaches up to her chest in reaction to the sinking feeling within and she only manages a bit of a squeak. Her face is tensed into an exotic concoction of fury, sadness, fear, and shame. The friend pauses in her robbery of the altar and looks behind herself to see Safiir there. An expression of fear crosses her face and she mumbles “I’m sowry...” and runs away.

Safiir is left hurt and betrayed. Two words escape her lips, “Ape Kha...” She goes to tell her parents of what she witnessed, trying to keep herself from whimpering aloud.

3. You are in the Cloud Temple when a stout, angry little dwarf begins yelling highly racist terms towards you at the top of his lungs. Although unarmed, the dwarf continues to yell after he makes eye contact with you.

How does your character react?

Safiir’s eyes widen and her face contorts as she is thrown into a primal rage. Her claws and teeth are born, ready to furiously tear him apart for his blasphemous speech, yet she feels like she is unable to attack the dwarf (by some force within the Cloud Temple).

The dwarf chuckles, his belly heaving with each puff, “Hah! Little kitty, kitty, what are you going to do?”

Safiir manages to venomously spit out “How cawn yuu cuurse the chiildren of Metztli, being a most cuursed abomiination of showrt ape yuurself!”

The dwarf only manages a chuckle, obviously enjoying this very much. Spitting out more profanities, Safiir lowers to the ground, scraping the stone underfoot with her claws that are itching to silence the dwarf nearby. Instead they scratch against more pavement as the sprints out of the temple deep into the forests where she would angrily pound the dirt.

4. Fire has broken out over the jungle city and you can hear the screaming of two Kha’ nearby. As you go investigate, you notice that one of your friends and the Tlatlanni’s white-furred child have gotten themselves trapped in opposite ends of a burning building. The roof creaks above you, if you were to get involved, you would only have time to save one before the building collapsed.

How does your character react?

Safiir again feels the deep sinking feeling in her chest that she had felt not so long before. Clutching her chest, she must choose the right decision. Almost blinded with tears, she tears into the building toward where the white child screams. Fueled by adrenaline, she quickly rushes out with the child in her arms. As she reaches the outside of the house, it collapses in a large crash of crackling flame.

Safiir collapses to her knees, rolling the small, white-furred child onto the ground, tears filling her eyes. She cannot feel the heat of the roaring fire nearby as it tears through the rubble, or hear the crowd of people taking the Tlatlanni’s child to safety. She lays in the dirt, mourning the loss of her friend, her heart pounding painfully.

‘If only I could cut my heart out, then the pain may stop...’ Safiir thinks. She had lost a friend, but hopefully had gained Metztli’s favor.
