Definitions
In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing: Taking on a character to control in a fictional world. Playing with a character that interacts with other characters and with a predefined world. One of the goals is to create an

engaging plot based around characters and events.
Meta-gaming: Metagaming is committed when a player, either mistakenly or on purpose, allows their character to "know" information that they shouldn't. An example would be one character calling

another by name, even if they have never met. It can used as a way to 'cheat'. Say, one's character is trespassing, and they see someone's nameplate through a wall, and somehow their character

'knows' that they are coming inside.
Power-emoting: Powergaming is forcing actions onto other characters. Similar to godmodding, a player powermods when they declare that whatever action they took against or on another character finds

it's mark. It's a great way to ruin the experience of the other player and to railroad a role-play into one specific direction.

In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Ireth'thul
Current Age: 56
Sub-race (if any): Dark-Elf
Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Ireth'Thul, or Ireth as she's always preferred, was born into an older family. She was born and raised on a tiny mining island in Kalos. The village's small size rendered them mostly safe from the chaos of the region, though life wasn't very peaceful for Ireth. She was such a relief for her parents, as they thought that their fertile days were over. Ireth grew up in a slightly unstable home. Both father and mother couldn't find work that was steady, so even as a young child, Ireth was expected to work to bring in coin. Even as a small child, Ireth would try to work herself for any adult that would let her. This made Ireth just a bit cynical, but she got practice talking to people. Her favorite job though, was working with people. Being highly talkative and bubbly around strangers, she would make for fun company for customers in an inn. In this way, Ireth became a mascot for whatever business she worked for.

When she entered her teens, she had trouble with her parents. She found a permanent job at the end cooking, but her parents felt entitled to all of her pay. Ireth grew even more bitter toward her parents. Her parents loved her, but Ireth felt as if she should keep her coin, and this led to an explosive argument. In an angry retort, Ireth vowed that she'd never have children, ever. This, more or less, devastated her parents. For them to work to hard to conceive a child in spite of the curse, and then that child to refuse grandchildren set them over the edge. In their fit of anger, she was kicked out. Ireth took up residence where she worked.

Several years of being a barmaid, her relationship with her parents smoothed over, though she still doesn't speak to them often. Her personality has brightened up just a bit, making her generally cheerful and flirtatious. She gains a bit of self confidence that she didn't have before as a child, and begins to feel the urge to do something other than bar tending. She thought she'd pick up a sword and develop a few skills with it. After learning how to basically defend herself, and collecting a big of money, she leaves her isolated home for bigger opportunity.

She attempted taking a ship to Anthos. She didn't have much direction as to where she was going, but bandit activity grew to strong for her to resist, so she returned back to her home before being able to board. When she returned home, her parents were gone, as if they packed up and left, as well as most of the town. Did something happen? She asked herself. With no where to really live or work, she was forced to try again. She made it to the coast of the island and hopped on a sailing ship. She was bound for somewhere in West Anthos. She's anxious about where she'll land, expected to be dropped off in the middle of nowhere inside of an ancient forest.

However, one thing hasn't changed, her vow to never have children. She was bitter toward her parents, and while she loved them dearly, she would never put herself through the difficult and heart ache because of the curse of her people.

Ambitions for the Future: Ireth looks forward to having a successful career in something, though she hasn't decided what yet. She also wants to visit all of the capitols and cities of elves,   Laurelin being one of her favorites.

Personality: Ireth is immensely social. Her cheerful and flirtatious persona can be very charming. However, she can be cynical about outcomes of situations.

Skills: She has a basic understanding of swords, and she has a strong back, so she doesn't flinch at hard labor.

Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin):awaz53.png
Any other details you wish to share about your character: Ireth is a bit short, almost as short as wood elves, and not very physically intimidating.

Open-Response-Questions
Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at

any point.
____

1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of older elves are mocking a small elven child. How do you

react?

Answer: Ireth hears the snickering before she sees it. Having been already annoyed by fighting her way through the thick brush, she was more than unreleased seeing the two elves pick on another. Ireth recognized the child. His parents were very unkind to him. She heard what the other two elves were saying, mocking the little boy. Ireth groaned as she stepped into the clearing with the three. "Is this what we're doing now, eh? Mocking children now?" She says loudly. She forces her presence by stepping between the boy and the other two elves. Ireth works quickly, fearing a violent reaction from the older elves. She reaches her hand down to the little boy. "Come on little one." She speaks very gently. The boy takes her hand, and she tries to walk away with the boy as quickly as she can. She couldn't escape with the boy fast enough to avoid some more of their mocking. "That isn't your real haelun!" One yelled. They didn't follow, much to Ireth's relief. However, she knew those last words were daggers to the boys heart. She could hear him holding back tears.

2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls

a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do?

Answer: Ireth watches the man go down with a thud. She gives a sigh, knowing that that would happen. She stepped near the old man. The man looked up, clearly looking at her with the eyes of pleading. She squatted down and began to gather his coins back into his bag. "A little too old for adventuring, wouldn't you say?" She says with a bit of cheer. She heard the man scoffing and laughing to himself, trying to get to his knees. Ireth, with the bag in hand, helps him to his feet. "Oh th-thank you young lady!" he exclaims a bit, though still shaking. "Where are you heading?" She asked, still being gentle as she held onto him. "Oh, oh, just across the hill to my summer home on the creek." Ireth felt her heart sink. It was this man. He was a little known by her and some others as a human who wonders close to town, looking for his summer home on the creek, but he can't remember that it's gone. Ireth didn't want to deal with the feelings of pity. they made her feel uncomfortable. "Well, be more careful!" She said cheerfully before making her quick retreat.

3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points

out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion

involved).

Answer: Ireth saw the invitation from the merchant, trotting across the clearing to look at what he has. She's quite impressed with his selection, which the man notices. "You know, a little elven girl like you needs something like..." he opens a lock-box and holds out a modest, but gorgeous silver-gold necklace. Ireth's eyes almost literally sparkle when she sees them. She quickly tries to look unimpressed. "I suppose I could wear something like that, but how much would it take for you to part with it, hm? A hundred?" The man looks down at her with an amused smirk. "Try two hundred." He says. Ireth's skin crawls at the price, and she flinches a bit. She retorts quickly by leaning against his carriage while making dramatic movements. "My my, wasn't it you ser that said I needed that piece of fine jewelry? Hm? Why don't you say, in that cute human accent of yours, that you'll only charge me just a hundred and twenty?" He smiles down at her, and with a chuckle, answers "No." She immediately pouts at him. "But I can't afford that!" She exclaims. The man gently sets the necklace back into his lock-box. "Then I shall remember you when you do." He says. Ireth huffs at him and stalks off. Usually, her silky hair can win her a cheap price.
