Definitions

In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions
from elsewhere!:

Role-playing: The act of playing a role within a specific community. One will assume new
attitudes towards different events within a make believe situation that
requires different events that can affect the player’s mood about the
situation.

Meta-gaming: information/resources that can affect
a player's gaming experience. Making decisions that the player knows of the
consequences, but the character does not, or discussing topics of real world
subjects that cannot be implemented within the role-playing world.

Power-emoting: a description of an action that the
other player cannot prevent. In other words, emotes that describe an action or
emotion that is taking place. Depending on the situation, a character may emote
a physical movement such as inspecting a room, or the emotional emote would be
something about a strong feeling or sense.

In-Character Information:

Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Harkaz “Red-Helm” Bormsson

Current Age: 35

Sub-race (if any): N/A

Clan (if any): N/A

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): I come from a far land, that is littered with untold dangers. My village was one of very few that could withstand the
threats, but each one fell has a darkness spread throughout the frozen lands.
The lakes dried up. Crops rotted away. The animals developed a strange disease
that brought deadly plagues upon us. My father was the ruler of our village and
a master forge. He fought for us, and defended our land alongside our warriors.
As a young Dwarf, I trained to fight within my father’s ranks and to work
beside him crafting armor. I practiced every day to meet my father’s
expectations, as recently my mother passed to a dangerous fever. She was the
only one who had been affected, and we think it was no accident that she had
died. My father wanted me to learn everything, so one day I may take his place
has a wise ruler who will help within the community. I was taught how to craft
materials, grow many crops, cut down tall or thick trees, and to fight in special ways. I was even taught to shoot an arrow, and became a natural after only a few lessons. I even started to hunt with the soldiers before the animals died of plague and could not be
eaten.

Soon, our crops began to wither and die. A large famine was
brought onto us. We did everything to keep the young safe, as they are our
future. We rationed our food, tried to grow more and to slaughter what cattle
we had left. Then, an unknown force arrives at our own doorstep. The men of
this force were large green creatures, and their warlord the largest of them
all. They demanded to take what we had, everything from weapons to food. They
even threatened to bring a massacre throughout village. We knew not of who or what
these monsters were, but they were a threat that must be put to death!

First, we planned. We wanted to get them when they least expected it. But too soon the raids on our village began.  Innocent children, women, and men were slaughtered. Blood filled the alleyways and stained the grass. Our army was force back into our fortress. We were not prepared for this. None of us
were.

 We held back the doors
for as long as we could, but their numbers outweighed us. The door gave way and
the final battle was fought. Blood was spilt that night, from monster and dwarf
alike. At every corner, we were in battle. They attacked hoard after hoard.
Their numbers never stopped, where ours dwindled. Houses were ransacked, and
buildings set aflame. There was nothing that we could do. We were to be soon
taken into the darkness as so many other villages have done before us.

Their warlord approached my father, and they were engaged in
battle. One blow after another, my father swung his battle-axe, but the monster
just laughed as he avoided them. The great monster swung his old, rusted sword
and sliced my father’s head off of his body. Every dwarf stopped and lost hope
with the death of their leader.

 In great agony and
despair, I ran with my sword, my helm, and my shield towards the monster. With
one great leap, I attacked the foul creature, and cut off his arm. The creature
roared with anger, and attempted to bash me to a pulp. I quickly avoided his
attempt and slashed at his leg. Blood oozed from his wound as he fell to both
knees. I grabbed his head, and with a mighty blow, I slashed at his neck. The
blood splattered onto my helm, and I was then known as Red-Helm, the Slayer of
foes. The creature’s limp body fell with a deep thud, and I roared with
defiance.

At that moment, all of the soldiers turned regained hope, and
fought on with strength, anger, power, and a new leader. Soon the beasts
retreated, and left us for good. But nothing remained of our village, and only
a few were left standing. We could not burry the bodies, as most were under the
many bodies of the creatures.  We could
no longer bear to witness our fallen families and friends. The last of us
gathered what we could, and set off into the wild in search of new lands to
carry on our legends, our stories, and our faith. I was the last to leave, as I
had to see every one of my men for the last time. I set off, and hoped to find
a new world to be a part of.

I long for a new future, a future without the darkness sweeping
over the land. One day I will find where I’m wanted, were I can use my skills
for the better of others, and for the protection of our future.

Ambitions for the Future: To find a new home

Personality: very bold, but sometimes
quiet. Is very fond of other dwarves, but will be sketchy to elves.  He will defend his own honor and the honor of
others. Can become very aggressive when provoked

Skills: A master forge, skilled warrior, proficient archer, great farmer,
strong woodcutter

Appearance (this must include an in-game
screenshot of your skin):http://imgur.com/REkAPO4,JBb6KoS#1

Any other details you wish to share about your character: He will try to help in any situation and will respect other's decisions.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one
paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as
possible and do not break character or lore at any point.

____

1. Whilst mining deep in the undergrounds of Kalos you see a large deposit
of diamond ore at the other side of the ravine you are on. There is a very thin
rock bridge that looks precariously unstable, but it is the only way to access
the deposit. What do you do?

Answer: “should I risk my life for
diamonds? Would my father approve of this? Is the risk for the better of
others, or for myself? Maybe, I could wait out until someone finds this
deposit, and see what they do? No! Then they will have the diamonds! Is there
any way around it? Maybe that is another passage back there……*looks over to the
side of the deposit* Yes! There is one; I even think I remember the way there!
*turns around and heads back to the fork to go left instead of right. Enters
the passage and sees a way to the diamonds. The passage is nearly to the other
side! I must mine through. So I better start now!” *mines half a day to get to
the diamonds and mines them until the next morning.* “Now to head back!”

2. You are sitting in the

local tavern with a large pint of ale in your hand - sitting nearby you is a
rather young dwarf whom is clearly going through a bad time. He is crying to
himself, and clutching a small wooden hammer toy. In the other corner of the room
two shady dwarves are sitting whispering to each other and pointing
occasionally at the dwarf. They stand up, one with a small dagger in his hand
and begin to approach the young dwarf. What do you do?

Answer: “Oye! Lad, what’s wrong?” Young
dwarf: “My little brother….the undead took him!” *Now crying harder* Me: “Ok
dear lad. Come here.” *comforts young dwarf* “Here, tell me ‘bout him.” Young
Dwarf: “He loved to make small houses for birds. My father had passed not too
long ago by the same fate. What am I going to do? I am all alone.” Me: “Lad,
when stuff like this happens, we must remember that we are still here. And that
they are looking down on us and help’in us out. See, I am not from around here.
My village was destroyed by the green menace. My father was our leader, and was
killed in battle. So we had to move on. That is what you should do my dear lad.
Find a job, fall in love, have a family. Just remember who you are, who your
family is and was. Also, whenever you get lonely, look at the stars for an
answer.”
Young dwarf: “thank you Mr. I will do has what you suggested. I

now see what you mean.*The two devious men curse behind me and walk out of the tavern,

knowing that they have lost their chance. “Alrighty lad, let’s get you home.”
*takes young dwarf home*

3. Whilst wandering through

the Dwarven Caverns you hear a voice call out to you; “Oi, ye’! C’mere n’ get
ye’rself an ale!”. You spin on your heel and see a heavily bearded bar-owner
looking at you - a huge grin on his face, and a mug of ale in his hand. How do
you react?

Answer: “my dear good bar-owner, I am in need of no drink! I have brought my own for lunch after my job.” Bar-owner: “Oh
but young lad, you look like you need one!” Me: “My dearest apologies, I may
come back after my shift! You are open late hours, right?” bar-owner: “that’s
right lad! But just swig’o ale should put a step in your foot! Just try some!”
Me: “I am sorry but perhaps someone else may have it.  No good letting it go to waste! But I am truly sorry, and as much as I would enjoy drinkin that ale, I’m going to be
late for my shift.” *starts walking away* Bar-owner: “suit yourself. It was
freshly brewed this mornin.” *The bar-owner offers it to another dwarf who
quickly walks away, rushing to his own job before he is fired.*

if there is any case in which this application is not accepted, i wish that I may ask of one thing. To bring on another antagonist.

I have thought about making beastmen. They are monster-like animals that are capable of great power. They can represent many animals such as a bull, a snake, a wolf, etc.

So again,  regardless if my application is accepted or not, please send me a reply as to whether or not you think this is a good idea. If you accept this idea, I wish to become the leader of of these beastmen, or second in command. I will have to fill out an application though, but would suggest it to be more private so the players will not suspect this new force at there doorstep.

Just in case, i will write the lore for the lead beastman and hope that you will embrace the idea. If the lore makes sense and You will accept this concept, please message me so i may have a chance to decided who i want to be.

Name: Beastlord Kylgarak Bloodhorn

Age: unknown

Lore: My people have lived in fear of the men for ages, as they have used us and slaughtered us for sport. I myself was even used within a labyrinth for many years. I soon escaped my prison, only o cower in fear. This may have been hundreds of years ago, but we do not forgive. We fight for revenge! Time can only tell when we shall arise and fight!  My people are scattered across the land, and will be brought back to kill the pests of men and rid the land of their dwellings. We will return order to our people, and live once again in our lost homes. There is nothing that can stop us from attacking. We are immortal, we cannot die. We will be injured, but will recover shortly. We will rampage through the lands and reclaim what is rightfully ours!

I will call upon the lord of serpents, whose venomous bite can paralyze and kill. Its speed will avoid any attack, and may even eat her prey of men.

Next, i will call upon the lord of wolves, as its kin will follow to aid him in battle. His teeth will thrash and rip through a mans flesh at a blink of an eye. His eyes will glow as night draws on, driving to fill its unsatisfied thirst for a man's blood.

Then, i shall call upon the lord of the Birds, who will rip out a man's throat with it's deadly claws. Don't look it in the eyes, because soon you wont have any....

Finally, I shall call upon the lord of Vermin, who will induce it's victims will a deadly disease, and will leave traces of it's fellow rats to spread the virus throughout the fortress.

We are unknown how we were created, but we will not use that as a reason to hide in the shadows. We are done living in fear. We are done living under man's rule. We will not hang behind......We Will Fight Until The Disease of Men is Gone from our once peaceful land! We Will Fight until every last one of them is DEAD!

Thank you and i hope that you will decide to make this a new antagonist. I would wish that we could make a fortress for this new threat. I do not mind how long it will take, as long as this new idea is carefully pondered. If this idea is denied, then i would enjoy playing as Harkaz the dwarf.

Skin: http://imgur.com/NGaafbU,Oot7wPH  If i need to, i could make him look angrier. the other characters will have to be made by the other players that wish to become any of the other lords.

Thank you again.

Your application has been...

AcceptedApplication3_zps3a241b9f.png

Be aware of two things. One, server lore seems to be lacking, so I suggest reading up on the wiki and especially Dwarven related pages. Second, your character is skilled in too many things and is overpowered. Don't make him an expert in so many areas when roleplaying.

If you wish to pursue your beastmen idea you can make a post in the Lore forum or contact a Lore Master, such as myself, for help in developing it.

Welcome to Anthos! Please wait patiently for a GM to whitelist you.
