I've been on this server since Aegis, as of October 2011. I've also been on several other servers that are more based on RP. My experience and quality has approved since then and each server has given me different knowledge of different types of RP.

Definitions
In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing:

 

Role-Playing is taking the role of your character to the exact mark on their personality. To me it is throwing yourself into the RP, (not completely OOC'ly of course), and act out according to the situation you're put into. It is comparable to acting upon a stage, but it is to note that it is for the enjoyment of both actors and not just for an audience of sorts.

Meta-gaming:

 

Meta-Gaming is the use of OOC information IC. For example, if someone told you OOC that they owned a secret base here or there, you wouldn't immediately run there in RP and start RP'ing as if you found it or knew about it beforehand. 

Power-emoting:

 

Power-Emoting is forcing your actions upon another player. This would be like emoting something along the lines of, "Person #1 slashes Person #2 across the face, killing him immediately.* It makes RP un-enjoyable for the other person and only kills any other role-play that may have occurred after.

Sharataku. (Not really a sub-race, but it makes the character differ a lot more in personality and action.)

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):

 

          Tookhavark was born within the main tribe of the Sharataku, given the titles of the Sankur and Turif. Sankur was his place in the world, and the Turif would state his membership of the family heading the tribe. He grew as any other Sharataku, through hardships and brutality shown in front of him. Inevitably he aligned with this life, it was what made him. After all, if one were raised in isolation with such experiences, they would take it on as their own. It comes mostly to his age when he reached twelve, going through the basic ceremonies and trials that any Turif or even Sharataku. 

 

          Upon his age hitting twelve, he was sent out to the forest by his father. His task was to be sent into the forest to hunt. To be more specific, it was a Dire Wolf. Though Tookhavark was not hunting, as much as the Dire Wolf followed him through the day and night. He hand't dare slept, knowing the time he let his guard down, it would strike. Tookhavark only held a spear and a skinning dagger, knowing he'd have to return with the corpse before he returned. 

 

          It was during the night that the Dire Wolf struck. It leaped out from the underbrush and all Tookhavark could do is hold it back with his spear. Its jaws snapped and tore at his hands, but he managed to hold it back. His hardships served him well, just managing to roll out from under the beast, jabbing his spear out. It pierced the wolf through its midsection, and in turn the wolf was ended in a fell stab. It only took awhile before he could drag it back to their camp, presenting it to his father, the Teku. 

 

          Soon after he took a ceremony the son of the Teku would have to. The rest of the Sharataku brought along items of both defense and aggression, weapons and guards of all sorts. It was there he found his most preferable weapon, the same he slew his beast with. The spear was often his friend, accompanying him across the many landscapes his small life so far took him. It was with this that he would continue along the bloodline of the Turif, the heir to the bone crown and the main tribe of the Sharataku.

Ambitions for the Future:

 

Tookhavark wishes to both make his father proud and lead his tribe to victory in the future. Alongside the two goals, he seeks to serve the Orcs as they are the Sharataku deity, making them approve of his strength and overall self.

Personality:

 

Tookhavark is fairly straight forward for his age, though curious as he is growing up. He can be seen as fairly brutal, but this is natural for most within the Sharataku. He would seek to make his father and the Orcs proud of himself.

Skills:

 

Tookhavark holds a fairly decent amount of skills for his age, comparable to hunting and combat. This may include using his spear or skinning a beast that he had hunted and killed. Although it may not be considered a skill, he also knows his own language fairly well, and takes a slight piqued interest in the common language, though not very well in it yet.

The young Sharataku child is well built for someone of his age, seeming decently strong. He is approximately 4'6 and usually carries his weapons across his chest and back for easy equipping. His physique would make him seem fast, and ready for any terrain that blocks his path.
