How did you hear about us?: - After I watched "The Hobbit' I wanted to find a Minecraft experience where I could roleplay in middle earth, as well as build.

What do you think the server will be like? -  I've only seen videos but I think it will be a lot of roleplaying, exploring, and some battle between races or guilds.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: -  Yes.

What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: -  There are separate rules for War.

What is roleplaying?: -  Roleplaying is when you get into the shoes of a character, using their words, language  or even how they eat.

What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming is when you use OOC information to find out something IC that you wouldn't be able to find out IC.

What’s powergaming?: -  Powergaming is where you take advantage of role play an you preform powers that your player does already have.

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

What race are they (and sub-race)?: -  High Elf

What sex are they?: -  Male

How old are they?: - 148

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family: -  Martini was born into a poor family who had to claw for survival on the streets of Malinor.  His parents were both arrested for thievery after they had stolen food from a farmer.

Martini tried to make it by but it was to hard so he joined the Elvish army.  He was assigned as a scout.  His agile body made it easy for him to move around quickly and his past experiences made it easy for him to go along unnoticed.

He was a scout for many years until they moved him to a soldier.  He was told that he would make a fine soldier, even though he thought otherwise.  

He fought in few battles, not able to see people besides the other soldiers for a long time. 

After he came home he escaped the army so he could start a guild.  He was given a ring of Wisdom by a Dwarfish Shaman in the Misty mountains while he was escaping the army. He has hopes of creating a beautiful town that has a not so beautiful guild operating out of it.

What are their ambitions?: - To build a town and start a guild

Do they have any special skills?: -  He is very wise.

What are their weaknesses?: - Fear of death 

What do they look like?: -  Blond hair and a little taller than a human

While this is quite a good start, I am afraid I must deny this application. It is by no means bad, but it could use a bit of work, mostly minor fixes in order to be acceptable.

 

Firstly, you say you want to play on a server set in Middle Earth, yet you realize that our server is not actually set in Middle Earth, correct? I obviously would not deny you for saying this, but it's just something I'd like you to take note of. Our lore is quite different from Lord of the Rings lore, and I wouldn't want you joining with the expectation of being in a Lord of the Rings server.

 

Please post your application on the Minecraft Forum Post next time, as you did not do so this time.

 

Your powergaming definition is not quite correct. If you need help finding a more accurate definition, I would advise you read this wiki page. It will help you understand powergaming for sure, but please do not plagiarize.

 

Your biography could use a bit of work as well. For one, it needs a bit more of our server lore. You can access our wiki and make use of important people, events, places, creatures or other pieces of lore specific to our server. Also, you will likely not find any dwarfish shamans on our server, and there are no Misty Mountains in Anthos. I would advise removing this part, and perhaps adding a bit more to your biography. His goal is fine, just find different reasoning, perhaps, and expand upon that idea a bit.

 

Please try to expand on each of the questions following your biography, especially weaknesses and strengths. We want to know your character a bit before we accept you, especially what your character is good at, and what he is not.

 

If you follow these suggestions, you will have no trouble being accepted onto our server. I know it may seem like a lot, but most of these really are minor changes.
