Clarification On Pvp Default

PvP default for me IS NOT a flip of a coin. My FPS sucks horribly, so bad that I even sometimes have trouble following people to places. I don't imagine how I could ever win a fight without it being RP. I /do/ have a mage character (fortunately for me) so in most cases I can probably avoid PvP.

But otherwise, whenever I'm attacked by someone who wants to PvP, I'm dead. I see no coin flipping there.

Do you ask them to rp fight instead? Maybe /roll fight even? because of your FPS

I see your woes, though =/

If you have sucky FPS, play a peaceful character. Nobody is asking you to make a combat oriented character. Like Freya said; you can't expect to come to a fight unprepared and have everyone else cater to your needs.

Not having a combat orientated character will probably get you in a lot of fights as well, expecially to be robbed.

Yes, I try to avoid conflict when possible. My point is that there are those like me who have horrible computers . I do plan to build a better one soon, but as of now there is no solution but to either get a new computer or avoid all conflict RP. Conflict RP does have a habit of finding even the most peaceful players anyway :P

The Nexus has been promised to solve problems in laggy vs speedy, but until then the fastest computers and the best PvPers will win all conflicts.

This is inherantly flawed. If someone makes a peaceful character, they'll still be forced into such situations, and as such your statement is null.

I play a 2'8" alcoholic Druid Halfling. I have played this character for six months. He likes alcohol, nature, and acrobatics. He dislikes violence. This character has walked nearly all over Anthos. I have fought one character using him, and I escaped as soon as I could. Please tell me more about how peaceful characters still fight a lot.

Stop trying to force people to play things they don't want to. Just because minecraft's system of PVP sucks, doesn't mean everyone has to like it.

-snip-

[edit] Either way... this really has nothing to do with PVP...

If a peaceful character was getting robbed they would likely give up their money, rather than fight back. Unless you are referring to running, although usually the runner doesn't fight back.

This is why the Halfling vs. Orcs question is so ignored by Staff, as it has actually been thought through,

We have not ignored it. In fact, I answered the question in this thread.

This thread has been locked. I offered the opportunity to continue discussion on the rules of mechanics-based fighting, but the topic re-diverged to a debate of the various forms of combat.
