Swgrclan 2682 Share Posted September 8, 2013 The wind was.. fair.. soft whispers upon the gale as it passed through titanic trees, sunlight breaking through abundant foliage, beaming down upon grassy floors. There was a sharp, staggered breath, and then an exhale. The skies were clear, blue and cloudless; sun high in the air, standing atop the world to cast it's light upon it. It melded the chill expelled from the Dead North, creating a pleasing medium; warm, but cooler. Another staggered breath sounded, and then released like seconds before. Pale eyes stared up at the leafy heavens of Luminaire, unblinking and calm. Matted, white hair clung against pale, gray and gaunt features; lips pursed in moments before more pained, ragged breaths were released. The robe-clad figure that was laid upon a massive root of one of the colossal trees seemed unmoving; stuck against the root, as if paralyzed in-place. The Shadow Druid's slender, elven ears twitch every few seconds; they were drooped from the agony that coursed through his body. He was, in fact, paralyzed -- a drop from a balcony high up within the Druidic Grove had caused to plummet.. down, down.. down onto the root he rests upon. A suitable demise, disregarding it's reasonings. The Druid could hear... much more than he had before, as if the cold hand death had blown a breath of enlightenment into the pitiful, unmoving figure before he was to finally reached out and steal his soul away. Everything was so clear... the birds chirped, the waves crashed in the distance, the wolves hunted, the deer fled, the wind blew, the leaves swayed; all the while, the Shadow Druid had his eyes upon the foliage-blocked skies. His breathing halted, suddenly. The light that the Druid could see peaking through the leaves dimmed, and with that, his acknowledgement of his life-ridden surroundings followed. His sight blackened, his heartbeat slowed, until he simply.. gone.~"He is not awakening... had you faltered in your prayers?" "No.. no.. of course not. He simply requires rest." "He had been resting for hours, Brother.. it is not common to remain comatose for so long after being brought back." "Worry not. He will awaken in due time; it is unlikely for a Druian of all people to perish permanently, whatever the cause." This is not a permanent death, it is temporary - I'm taking a break from my Druid for a couple of weeks.
