Letters To The Flays.

Darius sighs as he sits alone at a desk in the manor given to him by his newly sought adviser Sonn. "This place could do with some fixing up..." he mutters to himself, dabbing his inkwell into a small pot of in. He begins to draft up a letter, later sending them to all those who bare the Flay name as well as all their supporters.

 

"To House Flay and all it's supporters,

 

I don't even know what I'm writing to you, considering that one of your men supposedly murdered me in cold blood the other day. Aye, me. Your own kin. I feel ashamed to call a bunch of marauding bandits my family. How low we have stooped from royalty to petty highwaymen. None-the-less, you are still my family and most of you have been good to me over these past two years. So I write with a kind offer.

 

To those who bare the Flay name, give up your criminal ways and return to Renatus. Bend your knee to the young King Carrion as I have, and store away the bandannas. Do this, and you shall be permitted to continue your existence as Nobles of the Kingdom. If you do not, however, I'll have you all flayed alive, family or not.

 

To those who support the Flays in their "endeavours", come to the Dreadfort and pledge your allegiance to myself. Those who served before our unfortunate exile will be reinstated with all former ranks and uniform, as well as given a room in the keep, weapons and armour and food. Those who do not do thsi and continue their bandit ways will also be fair game.

 

I give you all 2 Elven Days to make your decision, silence is seen as refusal. I urge you to think carefully about this.

Darius stares down at the Goblin blankly, snatching the note from his hands. He begins to read over it, slowly beginning to chuckle. He rips the note in half, handing it back to the Goblin and instructing him to return it to the sender.

Christopher de Rosaen hears of the commotion, taking a last sip of his high

wine he thinks about the whole situation

through. "The Flay's attack the Winters, Blackmont calls for the Flay's,

while they Flay's are being nomad in the north"

He sighs, grabbing another bottle of High wine. He grabs his quill,

and decides to be the hero of today. Drunken, afcourse.

 

"Dear family of Blackmont"

 

I believe that recalling the Flay's is a good step into the right path, but for how long does

a path remain good? The Flay's have lost their honour long before you gave them an option

to be reïnstated. Either way, de Rosaen's could be a new.. friend with benefits if you

manage to make sure the Flay's recall their attack on Herendul.

 

Hopefully, we will meet again. For now, let us stop this war

Darius strokes his chin, reading over the letter. He shrugs, drafting a reply.

 

"To the House/Family of de Rosean,

 

I understand your concerns, however, they are my family none-the-less. Much blood has been spilt over the years with my own House being at the forefront, and sparking a civil between us would just prove to be chastrophic.

 

As for the Flays' plans for Herendul, I would be willing to assist driving them out. However, I have yet to be officially announced as a Lord, so we'll talk at a later time about this.

Damon looks at the letter from his slum deep within the docks of old Abresi, he chortles, and then thinks, if there were to be a new Lord of the Dreadfort, it would not be this pretender. It would be him. 

 

 

I'd complain about this not being legit, but then again I figure might as well make an RP event out of it.
