There is a disconnect between nation players and general magic players which I find hilarious.
There could be an insane cataclysmic event occurring and none of the nation players wont care at all or participate. On the flipside the magic players will continue to get 10 or less upvotes on their posts and no one will know who the hell they are.

its because magic stuff usually means diddly squat to most nations, even if azdromoth and xan have a massive fight in the skies it isnt going to actually change the way that nations run/do their style of roleplay/it wont actually damage them unless they give OOC consent first (case in point azdromoth elvenesse fight). no consequence involved for nations (except for when people detonate MOAB voidal tears in cities). the reverse is true where extremely important politics for nations and even wars dont really mean much to x normal spook player hiding out in their distant lair
this is why groups like the church pursuing darkspawn is really based because it encourages the two communities to roleplay together beyond spooks fulfilling lifeforce quotas, though it is somewhat regrettable that this roleplay usually takes the form of darkspawn backroom plotting (regrettable because we never hear about it/see it happen). its also why groups like gashadakuros coven got traction because they were doing raids and were very in-your-face about the fact that they were VILLAINS, they were easy to find and they were willing to fight and not hide. gives people a tangible enemy which people actually like (who would have thought)
its definitely not impossible for this to be 'fixed', just requires certain spooks to do more viewable roleplay and less hidden scheming roleplay and for nations to not view consequence with the ooc suspicion that some currently do. everyones here to have fun after all

People go there to just.. hang out and rp with whoever shows up! All the characters are super fun. I don't tend to join vcs very often and I've found a comfy spot in their community

Tried to play tonight and found out I got a two-month ban back in March for making fun of degenerates (wheelers) on the forums with an edited version of the "kill, behead, roundhouse kick" copypasta. Moderation in this server is a joke, and actively protects these predators. I'm done with this cesspool.
