  1. [!] A Notice is published by the office of the Thain. Allies, friends and residents of the Shire of Lisselroke. In light of the recent violent acts done within the Shire by hostile unknown figures, and the danger of these same unknown parties still roaming the Geyserlands and the outskirts of the Shire of Lisselroke, the Thain advises residents and outsiders to remain cautious and avoid travelling alone, neighbours are encouraged to report any unusual behaviour within the Shire, normal day-to-day duties may continue as usual. In light of the situation currently present within Lisselroke, by order of the Thain any petition for residence within the Shire will be denied until the situation changes, visitors and other outsiders are however still allowed to seek the services of the Half-Pint Inn for temporary stay. May Knox keep us safe in these trying times, and May Arugala take those seeking us harm. -Elsbeth Oakenshade, Thain of Lisselroke.
  2. Elsbeth Oakenshade, the Thain of Lisselroke, squints her eyes at one of the sketches after hearing the news. "Huh....guess tha' is one less problem 'round here."
  3. [!] Letters are carried out by the messenger bees. Friends and Allies of the Weefolk, The Weefolk have never been strangers to the winds of change, we Halflings never once decided to shy away from the burdens and the challenges that so often found themselves in our path, we have braved every danger in our search for a new home, ever since we left the comfort of the south and its peaceful shores we have faced loss, felt the grief, and then found comfort and strength in one another and proceeded to move on to our next grand adventure. When the Halflings abandoned the Shire of Amberdell in the last moments of the war against the Empire, i did my best to reassure those who stayed with us that the future would look bright no matter what happened in the days ahead, when we moved to our Warren in the lands of Norland and faced constant danger while in the sights of Darkspawn and other dangers present in those lands, i continued to try and play my part alongside our High Pumplar in making sure the Halflings would never lose hope for better days. After many challenges, these better days are finally upon us, as stated in a previous notice by our estemeed High Pumplar, the Halflings have found home on a new village near some ancient ruins close to the mighty Volcano in the Geyserlands, and i come through this notice to announce that i, Elsbeth Oakenshade, took the duties and the challenges as the Thain of the Shire of Lisselroke. The future of the Weefolk is one of peace, in Lisselroke our traditions and our culture will continue to survive, that will be my priority as Thain. May our lord Knox continue to keep us safe while we journey through the fields, and may lady Arugala offer us gentle tides to navigate. -Elsbeth Oakenshade, Thain of Lisselroke. 4. Elsbeth grins while staring at a geyser pool. "Hear me out; soup cookin' on the geysers."
  5. Blooma makes a very sour face upon reading the signed name on the letter, thus the contents of the letter itself, having a slight suspicion who Lady Luck might be due to the story involving the robbed Widow, the Musin speaks to herself while camping in the woods. "The small theft becomes a great crime when ignored often, and great crimes are punished...." She sighs, folding the letter. "I only hope the punishment doesn't end with you killed."
  6. Elsbeth grins while reading the notice. "Drugs, cheese an' a chance to show our Wonks, cant get better!"
  7. Elsbeth cackles as she feeds some crickets to the fifty frogs/wonks that were rescued. "Deh lord Knox bless us with 'em wonks! a divine day!"
  8. I doubt the player will go through a long research on lore just to be accepted into the server, i joined lotc with VERY minimum knowledge on the lore and learned most of it from the other players in the server either through RP or just OOC interaction. I know CT expects new players to be familiar with the lore but i dont think this is the way to do it.
  9. Elsbeth moved her eyes away from the notice to stare at the housemagery enchanted kitchen knife cutting down a few onions. "Housemagery superiority, heh...."
  10. Blooma would be travelling across Azuras, praying to the Aspects that her sister is safe and away from trouble....even though she has a slightly feeling that trouble will find its way to her.
  11. Elsbeth would read the news regarding the death of the emperor, she hums as she reads the notice "Im sure ye have enough people weepin' for ye or pretendin' to shed tears to look pretty in the eyes of those close to ye." She sighs. "An' im sure there ar' those celebratin' yer demise, an' im certain there ar' those who will take yer death as a chance to scheme or some other shite like tha'." The Halfling shrugs. "Bigguns come an' go, as well as their accomplishments, an' while we ain't elves, we Halflin' will always endure, no matter wot."
  12. Elsbeth would light a few candles to honor Knox while eating one of the few dozen cookies that was made in the previous evening.
  13. Elsbeth cackles a little upon reading the notice regarding the Imperial Shire. "There ain't a singular direction, at the very least Mr. Littlewood offers a option, a very sour option tha' no true Halflin' will ever take, unless they forgot our traditions and the true ways of Knox an' Arugala." She shakes her head, tossing the paper with the notice aside. "I rather be drowned in the sea an' taken by Arugala herself before i cast aside the ways of my people, and i hope those who perished in the fall of Dunwen cannot see the dark days we live on."
  14. Elsbeth would be smoking her pipeweed while observing a apple for the past thirty minutes, only taking her attention away to read the notice about the Salvians. "I s'ppose its proof tha' the Alliance never truly died in the end."
  15. Elsbeth is also standing next to Cori and Primrose, observing this disaster with interest.
  16. Elsbeth pinches the bridge of her nose. "Its all fine an' good until every last biggun in Azuras knows where we ar'." The Halfling looks at the town hole that still under construction. "Time to safekeep a few things now i s'ppose."
  17. Elsbeth reads the news, perhaps a bit confused. "Azuras for the Humans by the looks of it, guess the elves, the beastfolk, the musin, the orcs, the dwarves, the halflings and everyone else is s'pposed to just fock off i guess." The Halfling shrugs.
  18. [[IGN: carawithcookies ]] Your name: Blooma Would you be willing to financially contribute to such a cause? Not much Mina going around, but if necessary? aye Please, write some ideas you have surrounding such an idea: It should be entirely independent from the Empire, with minimal political interaction at best, to avoid being affected by potential internal infightings, it should serve as a peaceful hub and home for those who are much too exhausted from all the chaos of the war and all the other issues that might come now that it is over. Your Signature: Blooma
  19. Elsbeth would be eating an apple while resting underneath a tree on the roads, the proud sons of Urguan had fallen, and the Halfling cannot help but think this war could have ended in a much different way if it had not been for the sake of pride. "And so its done huh...." The Halflings were not beings of extreme pride, power or even great ambitious dreams. "Onwards then...." The Halfling would tell to herself as she continues her travel, to rejoin her people, to rebuild what was lost. With a new land and new allies, the future of the Halflings would be one of peace, Knox willing.
  20. Elsbeth would be collecting a few crickets outside the Warren for the frogs. "Thirty mighty frogs! wonder if we keep feedin' 'em we will have a frog deity or sumethin'."
  21. I mainly play a Halfling character, and despite the current events ongoing IRP the halfling community managed to maintain the traditional whimsy and light-hearted ambience when it comes to RP, through events like the Sushi Night and the Flower Festival, war did push some people away (mostly the ones who wanted nothing to do with it or those who are just tired of it all and want it to be over as soon as possible), and while the weefolk are caught in political discussion/drama due to war, its not really what we've been giving focus to? I know whimsy RP is not everyone, i know some people are not into it, but i think it did help me stick around LOTC despite all the ongoing chaos both IC and OOC, i think if i had my characters locked on political drama 24/7 i would just ask for someone to shoot her with the sheriff slingshot.
  22. Elsbeth would be smoking her pipeweed while enjoying the comforts of the warren. "And so life goes on, one way or another.....one pumpkin at a time, as all things should be."
  23. Elsbeth frowns at the news, but yet she had found relief in knowing she and the other Halflings had rescued the frogs from the ruins of Amberdell. "Knox be praised for the safety of the little fellas."
  24. My halfling Elsbeth and two of her friends (Cori and Primrose) made a small group of adventurers that ventured out of Amberdell to find lost knowledge of the halflings, that alone led to some funny encounters with some other personas, a few situations where they nearly died and there was a time Elsbeth and one of her friends Cori went out searching for the Iryalen capital and ended up finding some weird evil darkspawn castle beyond the geyserlands. Elsbeth was also once gandalfed into hunting darkspawn with a dwed, the guy literally just broke into her burrow and took her with him in his quest, it turned out to be a pretty fun RP alongside others that happened within the Halfling community.
