    Okay, but why are people so opposed to being in situations that are not beneficial to their characters? Conflict is the heart and soul of story. Conflict leads to character development. Conflict is important in RP. It leads to plot. It leads to growth. Do you really want things to stay perfectly the same forever, like the status quo in a TV sitcom? Or do you want a dynamic, moving story of epic proportions?

      Preferences, frankly, just preferences. I do enjoy peace mostly, but I do agree that conflict gives life and motion to things. I miss the Teuton-Flay conflict.
