  2. I've been a human RPer for a long time now (Almost three years) and have been part of various different governments. In the hope that I can answer some of your questions (And my apologies to experienced historians for the often over-simplified accounts): -The current year is 1515. -Start in Felsen. Everybody congregates generally in Felsen, the capital city of the main human Kingdom of Oren. -There are a few different cultures which together make up the Heartlanders. They're generally accepted to be as follows: -Savoyards, which make up the vast majority of Heartlanders. They're from the Duchy of Savoy (Its former capital the city of Aldersberg, its current capital the city of Felsen) and they've risen to prominence ever since their leader, King Olivier de Savoie, became king of Oren and of all the humans as a result. They constitute the dominant group in Oren and many of the noble families - de Savoie, de Bar, de Sola - are all Savoyard families. Savoyard culture is generally inspired by many continental western European cultures, including the French, Dutch, Italian and German cultures. Savoyards are often seen as overly cautious, decadent, greedy and prone to great intrigue and subterfuge by other humans, however they are also known for their economic and political acumen, patience, architectural style and organization. -Renatians, which are just about extinct these days. When unified, royal Oren split under King Enor (Over 200 years ago in RP now) one of the kingdoms that it splintered into was the Kingdom of Renatus. That kingdom stood for a while until the King of Renatus, Godfrey I, unified humanity and crowned himself the first Emperor of Oren. Renatus has existing in various forms ever since, either as an independent realm or as a realm in fief to the Empire as a whole. The last time Renatus existed as an entity was roughly 35 IC years ago, when Maric Varodyr, the Count of Angren, led a rebellion against the Empire as he was dissatisfied with the Highlander-dominated politics at the time. He believed that Heartlanders were being discriminated against and marginalized, and he crowned himself the rebel King of Renatus, thus dismantling the Empire into five or so smaller countries. Renatus fell apart after a while after an undead assault, and the human realms were reunified by King Andrew (A Highlander Raev monarch, called Andrik by his people) however the Empire has not been restored since. There aren't many Renatians around any more, and many of them were slain and raised into undeath. Renatian culture is based on generic human fantasy culture, much like you'd see in many other franchises - the only real houses around that are considered to be Renatian are Varodyr and Horen, the latter of which have faced a sharp decline since their family lost the Imperial crown about 100 IC years ago. -Salvites, from Salvus, who are not currently under Oren (The greater human realm) and exist as a rogue, independent state. When Oren split three ways under King Enor, aside from the Kingdoms of Renatus and Hanseti (A Highlander realm) there was also the Kingdom of Salvus. Salvus was an agrarian, mercantile realm known for its social liberation, democratic government and alien concepts of individual liberties - this made Salvites an often persecuted and unwelcome group within Oren. When Godfrey Horen unified humanity under the first Empire, Salvus was restored as a realm in fief to Oren - they quickly became a target of many other groups which would express their disdain, justified or not, for the realm in a multitude of ways. When the Horen dynasty lost control of Oren around year 1430, Salvus was abolished. It was recently reformed as a republic independent of the greater Oren realm. Salvite culture was always very bland and not necessarily inspired by anything, however as of late republican Salvus has taken a very ancient Romanesque inspiration. There are pretty much no humans in Oren proper who identify as Salvite. -Auvergnians, from the former territory of Auvergne, who have been diminished in number for a while. They were very French-inspired, however Auvergne has not existed as an entity for nearly 100 IC years now. The de Sarkozy family (A formerly prominent family with a legacy felt throughout all of Oren) were of mixed Auvergnian, Savoyard and Highlander ancestry. -Ilatians, who are very Italian-inspired and have never had a realm or land of their own. I don't know much about them other than they're pretty much extinct other than a few individual players who maintain the legacy.
  3. Welcome to the server! Great work Ruben. Keep it up. Wow, so proud of you.

  4. Fearful rumours had beset the people of Oren that Harald Vanir, a cousin of the Dukes of Karovia, had been attacked and slain by wild animals on the roads. To look even further into the matter, one could uncover the fact that the Karovians themselves were stoking the flames of these calumnies, perhaps in order to purge all memory of their hated cousin, Harald, the only one who had dissented from their heathenous and megalomaniac world view, where in their most lofty dreams they had achieved their life’s aspiration as the personal catamite of King Andrew Vydra. But for the Vanirs this ambition had been cut short when that king was plunged into a vat of boiling oil - and so they had been forced to content themselves with somewhat less important (To them at least) service to King Olivier. The court of Governor Benda in the Aeldinic city of Pronce was silent as one of his many supplicants brought him a thick and rugged leather tome, filled with parchment leaflets which had all been bound together by a cloth sack. Benda, a cruel, beady-eyed man who hated sorcery above all, ruled his province with consummate tyranny and paranoia, and the men in his service who wished to earn his favour knew this perfectly. “We took it from a hermit in the woods near Marna,” one of the slack-jawed soldiers said, bent to the ground in a kneel. “A dangerous one, he was...some kind of powerful sage, hm hm!” offered the other, his hands clasped behind his back. “He, uh, got away, we couldn’t manage to capture ‘im,” added the final member of the trio. Benda flicked open the book, his flinty eyes scanning through its contents. With a displeased sigh, he closed it immediately after. “Are you ploughin’ daft?” said the Governor, holding his hand up threateningly, “This isn’t a damned spellbook, this is some old hermit’s fuckin’ journal!” His voice was very powerful as he yelled at the soldiers, his head shaking in irritation, “Get the **** outta my court before I rip your fuckin’ legs off.” The soldiers promptly left, and having discarded the journal to the side, one of his courtiers idly scooped it up in his arms and took it to his quarters. Every now and again he would read the book, whose author was unfortunately bereft of the more complex principles of literacy. Despite these flaws, it was still coherant. THE JOURNAL OF HARALD VANIR (The journal's author is clearly barely literate, with there being many punctuation and grammar mistakes throughout.) CHAPTER I: ALEKSANDER CHAPTER II: THE FOUNDING OF AKOVIA CHAPTER III: THE VANIRS

  7. Few are the sins of the father Are visited upon the son Hearts have been heard, Our hands have been clenched in a fist too long, Our sons will never be soldiers, Our daughters will never need guns, These are the years between, These are the years that were hard fought and won, Contracts torn at the edges, Old signatures stained with tears, Seasons of war and peace, These should not be forgotten years, Still it aches like tetanus, It reeks of politics, How many dreams remain? This is a feeling too strong to contain, The hardest years, The darkest years, The roaring years, The fallen years, These should not be forgotten years, The hardest years, The wildest years, The desperate and divided years, We will remember, These shall not be forgotten years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgS1yMu0E1c I hear witchers can parry arrows in flight. Never hurts to ask.

  16. Malcolm Turnbull limps after the pair of them, after some time and crossing several hundred metres reaching the airstrip and the CIA convoy. He greets them with a solemn wave, putting his butterfly knife away in his bloodied suit jacket.
  17. Malcolm is riddled with bullets, being barely able to right himself and bleeding from several wounds in his torso, he turns to follow the Celtic Inferior, brandishing his knife threateningly, all the while demonstrating supernatural Parliamentary strength and resistance.
  18. Malcolm contemplates his actions for a moment before lunging at Peter Garrett, slashing his throat with the butterfly knife in one fluid motion. Garrett's body falls to the floor quickly, his lifeblood pouring out and soaking into the bitumen. Wiping the Labor politician and musician's blood on his knife on the sleeve of his white dress shirt, he brandishes the blade around, looking to find the Celtic Inferior and end him.
  19. Malcolm Turnbull, the Minister for Communications, arrives on the scene via V-Line train, scowling quite deeply. He takes off his black-rimmed glasses, reaching into his suit jacket and pulling out his butterfly knife, flicking it open. He approaches the wreckage, looking for survivors - an experienced military man from his days in investment banking, Malcolm gooes into a prone position, shuffling closer and closer towards Zachariah, giving him one light tap on the shoulder.
  20. Tracy calmly turns to Geoffrey, pointing the Confederate pistol at him and shooting at the old pedophile's head from point blank range - soon after, the car, without a driver, would skid into Zachariah's car and be completely immolated, turned to black and charred wreckage within a matter of minutes. Grimshaw was brutally thrown through the windscreen on impact with the other car, breaking both of her legs as she hit the bitumen of Monavale highway.
