  6. Should be! If not just ping me in the main LoTC discord. LoTC main discord: https://discord.gg/fTkusg
  7. Updated the post to include links to calendars of other cultures/nations/groups at the bottom. I feel like they’ve formatted it more clearly and convey the actual role-play better than to include it onto this post. If I have made any incorrections with how I have worded any of the Calendar names please don’t hesitate to let me know on this thread, forum message or on discord: Jenny_Bobbs#0001 . Also feel free to do the same for adding in other Calendar’s!
  8. It doesn’t. This post however was just supposed to list the current standard we have within the game of a date system. If the post included other cultures unique dates and times in accordance then it’ll be a lot more bloated and need constant updating or removing depending on what new ‘calendar’ was created. I will post a link to other cultures at the bottom of the post that refers to other cultures instead. (I am doing this now).
  9. The post was made for this suggestion, although it can help new-players. The New Player Guide should cover dates/times of cultures, if it doesn’t or isn’t sufficient please direct it to me through forum PM or discord and i’ll put a culture calendar/time section in to discuss when guiding new players to the nation!
  10. I don’t think if you have an admin account on the wiki to edit it. Add me on discord and we can talk~ Jenny_Bobbs#0001
  11. Yeah I get you, i’ve been on the server since September 2011 and remember the transitions for most maps well. I’m just working with what the wiki states atm since the last edits where done by ST / other members of the community which makes me think they’ve changed it for some reason.
  12. What can I say, this is just based on the wiki page
  13. The Lord of The Craft Calendar and Time Lord of The Craft offers players a calendar in-game that is available to correctly calculate characters years, achievements and progression from Aegis to the current date. The way you’re able to check the current calendar is through the command `/date`. Performing this command will give you the in-game prompt; The command gives clear information on the day, season and year, the time is focused on converting in-real-life (IRL) time into in-game standards. The full list can is below: The calendar which records all the seasons in the in-game year (7 IRL days) is split up for a season each day, making seven seasons. Other nations and cultures are inclined to follow the calendar system above, they’re not restricted to this however. Notable groups who do use their own calendar system are: Oren – Imperial Calendar. Haense – Sigmundic Calendar
  14. Hey Tato. I wish to address your previous points real quick prior to addressing the one i’m quoting you for above! I understand the reluctant thoughts of household magic being out and lowering the quality or ‘mysical awe’ of the magic (my words interpreted from yours). The void as you put it is an unnatural thing, though to say players no little about it would be an understatement. Through player discovery or fancy lore writing the server has increased and delved further into the understanding of the void and it’s possibilities, one of the reasons household magic was made wasn’t to dilute magic more – rather offer opportunity for minor spells for any studying void mage (It’s locked behind an application now and depending what the lore writer wishes on Grand-Fathering to spread the magic out is their choice). I see the feat to assist aspiring or proficient void mages in homing skills of the void to classes they’ve not been able to get into or cannot learn currently. The spells on offer are not supposed to be groundbreaking but minor and insignificant offering nothing but flavorful role-play to mages. Now to the comment I quoted, i’ll look over with Alph to check over the ranges and fix them up! (This is my perspective of the lore, not Alph’s. Just thought i’ll put this in for clarity)
  15. Alright fair game. To new spells how would – oh I don’t know if we’re throwing a singular spell of voidal arts each into this conjuration familiars. Aka – Conjuring non-combative small animals.
  16. With the option of either Demotheus with having spells unlocked if taught by X mage or mine where an accepted voidal MA got you access they both present issues as you did come up with. Having it put under a FEAT application can assist with managing domestic magic... How would it be given out? Self-Taught? Taught? i’m just curious.
  17. Wasn't the appeal of domestic magic that it didn't require an application? All this does is offer no real big or impactful benefit to RP. For me personally, anyone with an accepted MA in the void should be able to practice domestic magic as it doesnt imbark on anything too difficult. If this is seen as the only thing wrong with the suggestion I'm sure Alphe will update it. Nevertheless good post.

  20. I do like the concept though I feel like you might've skipped over the cauterization spell in old necromancy lore or in the two most recent lore posts in the purpose which can do most of the things you've listed here. Except for the control parts. Also creating amalgamations seems of my similar to creating abominations which is in my lore piece. I'm not trying to bash your lore simply giving some feedback cross referencing the two. Secondary to your lore in general having the practitioner rot away if not actively practicing the magic or gaining life essence(?) *did I read that correctly?* seems like the dark Hallows in old necromancy lore which the ST didn't approve of due to enforcing users to go out and harvest. That brings me to the third point that I just dislike magic that encourages taking bits and pieces from another individual to function, eg: taking limbs. It from my observations encourages sub par roleplay as you need to kill or force RP to do your magic. Not a -1 Or +1
  21. Just so people are aware, this ability in “Purging” the redlines state the above. This addition is temporarily and depends on/if this submission of necromancy is accepted: If this lore piece is denied, the addition of these redlines should be removed. Other than that statement, I do like this blighthealing lore. Good writing!
