  1. First there aren't any "ancestors" of the giraffe alive today, and all we can do is piece together (what we think) is an ancestor of a giraffe. The flaws in this is such (and i'll use evolutionist arguments) the animal cannot actually be observed and therefore there is no (concrete) proof that it was an ancestor or existed at all. If you try to say that there are skeletons of such an animal and there by proving its existence I can tell you that, again all we have is a bunch of puzzle pieces which we have pieced together, which is still not an observation of such an animal; and this method has already led to some blunders with skeletons. A refute might be " Well just because they're not walking the earth doesn't mean they didn't exist" -* remember that one... This is true, as we can observe the once existence of what we call (dinosaurs) and now extinct species. Yet all we can observe about these no-longer-living-animals is a small fraction of what they were like; and it seems as though using this small fraction of information we try to explain a creatures entire physiology (or near to), In reference to the OP I'll say that it is commonly known that two types of Evolution exist, one that tries (but didn't originally) to explain the existence of Humans and all life, and the other which is to say that Animals will inherit traits passed down from their ancestors as a means to better live in a certain environment. As to the second case (which is held as fact by all) why cant it be said that the Giraffe evolved to suit its habitat? Did there exist an entire different species by which it had evolved? If so does this disprove a God that would have designed a creature to overcome an ever-changing habitat? Now that that rant is over... I should note that the leading belief as to how the Earth came into creation is that A greater being made it so, I would reference this article also noting that the belief in God most likely isn't the only demographic covered in the percentage. As such when you say that you believe in Evolution because it is the leading explanation your statement is false. Noting that it is still false regardless if you believe Creationism to be a valid explanation. My last retort would be to say that it is futile for me to try and change your minds about things, if one has a hardened heart or is unwilling to believe in a Loving God, then their is nothing I can do about that; My goal is simply to relay the information I have as it becomes relevant to discussion.
  2. That was pretty cool, excited now cant wait for all the RP I shall be doing!

I was told by a GM that there is some sort of process for mortal wounds, but I'm not really sure.

    3. Supremacy

      Supremacy

Monk magic relies on the capture of a soul before it departs into the afterlife. If they catch it, they are capable of entirely REFORGING a body from the soul. However, the will of the killed still remains. Should they want a scar, their soul instructs that.

Monks do not 'regenerate' rather they entirely repair. Only clerics can replace lost limbs and other organs.

  7. What if you made Orc applications more intensive to ensure quality rp'ers but then you allowed orcs to have a limited amount of evils (that would be necessary to play an orc) from the get go without having to write a VA? Just a thought... Oh i'd also like to say that I have a deep respect for any of the ORC RP'ers you guys are definetly the most unique RP'ers on the server and I loved your capital in Asulon, it was awesome.

  10. Character Name El'rith Pelreemr, The Virtuous Man Nicknames: Virt Age: Somewhere between 200 and 250 Gender: Male Race: Wood-Elf/ w/ manipulated genes Status: Alive Description El'rith was born in the slums of Al'khazar to his elvish mother who served as a prostitute at the local brothel. After discovering her pregnancy El'rith's mother became convicted and left her "career" however once the child had been born El'rith's mother soon found it nigh impossible to provide and was forced to go back to her old life in order to support her new child. Eventually however this became her downfall when she contracted a terminal illness and was unable to find a doctor that was willing to help her. Elrith understood all of this, he knew why his mother was refused treatment and he knew the sacrifices that his mother had made for him. "I have to make it up to her." He wound up doing the only thing he knew how to, steal. Learning quickly Elrith would envision highways along the rooftops he learned how to break his falls, and he learned where the wealthy citizens lived. Elrith had always been agile, his mother told him it was because if his wood elf heritage; he wanted to see the wood elfs one day. Selling all of what he "obtained" Elrith raised a small fortune, and the citizens all knew the rumours of the boy on the rooftops. Still he found trouble locating a doctor to help her. 3 months have passed and his mother's sickness has grown to near untreatable conditions. As she lay in her bed, she slowly wheazed out these words to Elrith, "My son, you have your whole life ahead of you, do not go wasting it on me. For my time left on the world is short but i have one last gift for you." She unwrapped a sheet of linen showcasing one of the most beautiful creations elrith had laid eyes on. An elven bow the wood felt alive in his hands he could feel the power of nature coursing through the fibers. "learn fast how to use it, for it will save your life a multitude of times." After telling her son that she loved him, she told him to go to bed he kissed his mother on the forehead and thanked her for everything that she had done for him. In the morning she was dead. Elrith knew this would happen, he carried her outside of the city and found the nearest forest, digging her a grave about 4 feet deep he lowered her inside. With the money he made he was able to buy her a gravestone, " here lies Terianni, who lived a troubled life yet was never absent of love." What no one will tell you is the events that soon followed. Elrith grief stricken at his mother's lost he soon begin to cast blame on those who refused to treat her, one such man who had claimed he would was the most recent of these. Elrith began to grow a fierce hatred towards whoever this "doctor" was. That night Elrith sought the man ought and slew him, from that point it was clear their was a dark taint that ran deep within Elrith's soul, he plunged his dagger into the man multiple times his grief and hatred fueling each blow. Elrith never spoke of the incident again and prevented all who was there from ratting him out. From there Elrith would attempt to filter into his heritage as a wood elf and wound up joining the wardens his skill greatly improved and over time Elrith's skill with the bow was on par with those who were called sniper's and given elite positions within the Wardens. Elrith however never behaved like the Elves around him, he had grown up in a urban heavy enviroment with little to no knowledge of his people's culture, eventually Elrith would abandon his people's culture and ways entirely wanting not to be bogged down by any one way of thinking Elrith fought in many battles yet still remained unfulfilled, he left the wardens after a time and went on a "walk about" searching for what was missing within him. He resorted back to the skills he had honed whilst scaling the rooftops of Al'Khazar. Elrith eventually managed to find the Master Thieves Guild and after being recruited and branded was sent away for many years on a mission to infiltrate a rival guild. Elrith was a natural, able to coerce and manipulate events to suit his favor and to adapt when they did not. He did not struggle to have people agree with what he said, through persuasion most blindly went along with him. It was during this time that The Upright Man and leader of the Guild became mentor to Elrith. Elrith learned much from him and much of the way he thinks he attributes to this. Elrith spent many years within the guild and eventually rose to become its leader in doing so he earned a new name... The Virtuous Man. Elrith prided himself in this feat, those within the guild became as brothers to him especially Dash Rogers who became Elrith's greatest friend. After the fall of Aegis and through the Journey to Asulon Elrith became lost and was unable to reestablish communication with his former guild members. He soloed for awhile before a emotional reunion with his friend Dash at an Inn above Alras. Elrith was back in the guild and together the Guild managed many heists and other adventures. Elrith had found fulfillment, he no longer searched for what he had been missing he had found it with his new brothers. The Upright Man whom Elrith trusted wholly crafted a potion for Elrith and another of the guild members to consume. This potion altered their bodies infecting them with what The Upright Man called "Mortullis" this disease after affecting his physical body would cause Elrith to long after the blood and flesh of other living entities (humans, elves, orcs etc.) He gained a sadistic enjoyment in hunting down his prey and feasting upon their flesh. However the side effects of this disease were apparent, his skin became discolored and his stomach whilst somewhat acquainted now with his new diet would occasionally reject the "meals" causing Elrith to cough up blood. Elrith also became severely distracted to the point of fatigue if he didn't "feed" for long periods of time. These acts of cannibalism caused one of his guild members to forever mistrust him seeing him as a freak. Much time passed and Elrith continued along with his escapades within the Guild as its Co-leader. After many years leading up to and following the departure from Asulon Elrith again lost contact with his brothers, and whilst he was able to catch up with one or two of them it was the one who had mistrusted him since Asulon who revealed his hand first when he betrayed Elrith, aghast with confusion and grief over his friend and brother recently turned backstabber Elrith broke down and was unable to defend himself as they knocked him unconscious and stripped the flesh from his forearm away... He is driven by his personal desires and wants. He greatly enjoys and spends alot of his time coming up with multiple schemes for his team and himself to execute. Elrith relishes chaos and desires to see whole nations dissolved as a result of his work. He is also a thrill seeker and likely to place himself in situations where danger to his health is apparent.
