FM Edit: If you are being directed to the hacked server, do not enter. So uhh.. I crash on the server earlier today and I see.. this And I'd like to know.. is this the end of the server? Or has this happened before, how has it happened and.. why? I've had reports from my friends that they're still on the Server without this happening to them, and they still seem to be rping fine and dandy..

One of the men was Ragnar Fáoláinssón, who stood with axe and shield, his gaze locked upon the Konungur of the North, Thórvárdr Fáoláínsson. The two charged with zeal, Ragnars determination set on dying a Warriors death, tears were wept from those that loved Ragnar apart from Thórvárdr.. The battle waged on for some time, blows were taken and dealt, Ragnar took the first, taking a Sword slash to his left bicep, he took it with brute force, the fight continued to go on, Ragnar managed to disarm Thórvárdr though sacrificing his shield while doing so costing him the battle. As the battle come to an end, Ragnar took the fatal blow, receiving a Seax knife gash across his abdomen, causing him to bleed profusely, in a last attempt he hacked at Thórvárdr failing while doing so and being forced onto his back, he muttered the words "Thankyou, father." in his own tongue though having this returned with a dishonourable strike to behead Ragnar, Ragnar moved, wanting an honourable death, he asked for such and was then returned with a "Fine, *****." At this moment a sense of betrayal grew over Ragnar, Thórvárdr moved away seemingly careless, Ragnar had realised he made a mistake. Instantly he regretted his decisions, though it was too late, he had finally realised who his true friends were when Glanril and Finnvard came running to his aid, assessing his wounds in an attempt to save him, alas, it was far too late. Ragnars body was carried off, laid upon a softwood boat layered with hay. Ragnar was clad in the ceremonial armour of Gonthórían, his face smeared with ruined, smudged and distressed war-paint. The torch was struck, the two mourned, placing the torch to the boat, pushing it down the stream and watching with moist orbs as they viewed the flames engulf his body. ((Will improve another time but this is it for now.))

I made Ragnar shirtless for 'effect'. Also, I didn't put much effort into the as-good-as-dead guy, so sorry if he looks extra odd. That's actually awesome, the pose has been done so well, thankyou :D

Graddar would use his clad digits to curl around the hilt of his Bowie knife, he brings it to his left palm, pulling the blade across with a faint grunt, he clenches his jaw lightly, moving over to Zabgub and putting his hand to his.

Ragnar slumps down into a wooden seat, having it creak under his brutish wait, he rests his head in his hands at the news of Aepholis' recent departure, he brings his head up to look at the wall at the back of the room, his expression one of stoicism and solidity, a single tear could be seen rolling from his right eye, he blinks, the tear dissepating. With a clunk he slams his clad fist into his Dark Steel cuirass "Bless, bróðir.."

I'd say my best RP moment was when Ragnar saw Thór as a true father, Ragnar had threatened to leave due to circumstances involving his Wife and his Son, as this happened Thór chased after him and proceeded to beat the crap out of him pretty much, at this point Ragnar wanted to die, Thór told him how he had accepted Ragnar as a Son, Ragnar then told him to kill him, Thór went to kill Ragnar as Ragnar uttered the words 'I love you, father' as Thór actually managed to release tears, dropping Ragnar. To me this was so powerful mainly due to the fact that he managed to make Thór cry, and I'm not even going to lie, I may of shed a tear.. -

Magic? To me that's honestly not good enough, at all, to just explain something with one word especially when it is 'Magic' is honestly pathetic, It's just an excuse to say that something can work without giving it any real purpose to do so, take this for example, a Huge, 90ft spiked claymore that someone can throw around like a normal Sword because of 'Magic' is like saying you're actually just using magic rather than hulking around a 90ft Claymore, If you could perhaps instead give me a proper reason as to why it may exist without just simply saying 'Magic' as that's pretty much just saying 'I have no clue lol'

Ok I'm 15 but w/e, but yeah, maybe not, but honestly there are some people on the server who don't even bother to stick to the Servers time period, If you want to have the Edgy hair I'm all for it but to have the Edgy hair and use tools and weapons that are just completely inaccurate and then to go out and use clothing that makes you stand out completely, then that's where I have a problem..

Well if they were somewhat wise, they wouldn't do it anyway because of those small groups, I mean, who the hell would want to risk being burnt just so they could give themselves an Edgy hair-colour?

For a start, the Golems are made from /Stone/ not Metal, so I highly doubt they'd need a wrench because as I've said, bolts and nuts are not yet created, and as for the lights and light switches, I went to a town and I saw the Electricity pylon, and the Lore masters did /not/ allow it, and I think that closes my case..

No, perhaps not, but Im speaking generally, the server is mainly based off of Medieval and Ancient history rather than modern day Europe/USA, when I say this I mean that the majority of the landscape is built with Medieval housing and Castles, Government is also very similar to that of Medieval England (Especially in Oren) I mean, there is no Electricity that can be harnessed for power yet, is there? Nor is there any sort of Gun or Firearm that has been developed.. (Though I am unsure of Cannons.)

Alright, so basically, this is one of my biggest pet peeves or rather, pet hates on LOTC. Basically, when I see people with a certain skin that doesn't even make sense compared to the time period of LOTC, now this /really/ annoys me, like seriously, when the server is ment to be set in the 15th century and I see people wearing Fedoras and 20th century suits, it really gets on my nerves and it destroys immersion, now I get that this server is high fantasy which is all fine and dandy but at least try to stick to the period in which the game is set in. Moving on, this is when I really start to get pissed off, I walk around to see people with vibrant coloured hair, which is completely stupid, why on earth would a Woman want her dye her like that in the 15th century, oh wait, they wouldn't! They would most probably be accused for being a Witch! And burnt, gg. Now to finalise, this is where things really, /really/ piss me off, the worst thing of all is when I see people with Weapons and tools that don't fit the time period whatsoever, I see people using hypodermic needles which didn't even exist until the 19TH CENTURY. Now I get that you may want to inject people with things fair enough, but you could at least use a Knife coated in the substance, it's much more lore friendly, and to continue with the whole needle idea, there is no way in hell that someone could make a Hypodermic needle with such a fine, hollow point, they just don't have the manufacturing techniques, to continue with this, yesterday I saw someone using a /Wrench/ as a weapon, a Wrench, a tool which is used to dissasemble and help assemble nuts and bolts, which again, don't even exist. The reason why this annoys me so much is because when I create a skin/character I try to make their apparel and look fit the time period as well as their overall character, I was so tempted to give one of my characters a Cutlass, but as they weren't even invented yet, I decided not to, and instead gave him a Falchion, it's really not hard people, If you want to play some edgy steam punk guy with a respirator I suggest you find another RP server or try to come up with an alternative. Now to end on a positive note I will add that most of the people on the server especially groups such as Renatus, Carrion etc actually do use skins, armour and weapons that actually fit with the time period, along with some other groups who are less advanced in technology such as the Fáoláins (Hate to brag), Orcs and Kha who use more primitive weaponry and armour, so props to you lot!

Well, he's actually a she, for one. She's a Mali'ker, or at least that is usually the form she takes. /Very/ beautiful, but in a kinda dark and evil sorta way. Maybe if you could seduce her somehow you could get close enough to kill her. I doubt she'd let you though. Back in the day she was sealed by throwing Krugs Axe into a (wrong) hole.
