A pair of Elven outriders gazed up at the silver walls of Karinah'siol from their steeds. With the keen vision so notable of their race did they scan the parapets, brows knit in confusion. Where they had expected to see soldiers, trebuchets, and all the preparations of a siege, there was nothing. Instead, a silence hung over the Haelun'orian city. Tugging upon the reins, they bid their horses depart, dust trailing them northwards. Arriving at the siege camp upon the isle's northern shores, they were greeted by the challenge of an Elvenessi sentry, who shortly bid them enter. Dismounting, they led their horses through rows of neatly ordered tents. Here, Snow Elven Guardians of the Ivae'fenn sharpened their steel alongside Dark Elven Sableguards of the Silan'siol, trading tips on how best to refine their blades' edges. There, Elves of Elvenesse practiced their archery and High Elves of the Silver Princedom's Ethdagr tended to their siege engines, whilst mercenaries of Silver Lubba looked on. At last, they arrived to the command tent, greeted by two Fennic Valkyrim in purple veils. Spears uncrossed, and their entry was permitted. [[Art credit to Yüzüklerin Efendisi Divanı]] "They will not fight," one uttered to the present commanders, whilst the other added, "They offer no resistance." It was but an hour before a token force had assembled to test that theory. Three thousand of the Elves broke camp, forming into columns with trebuchets in tow. They marched upon the Silver City, circling around to its southern entrance. There, the trebuchets drew to a halt. Under the orders of Elathion of Vaelya, an officer of the Silver Princedom, the mechanisms of the wooden constructs snapped into place. Oil was dumped upon the stones, and lit aflame. "Igne!" came Elathion's order, and the siege engines roared to life - first the trebuchet "Jarad M", and then the trebuchet "Oussana Package Delivery Service". Stones lurched forth, dragged upon the ground, before promptly being lifted and flung. Their flame trailed through the air. They impacted the walls in a shower of fire and rock. Stone crumbled; steel rent. Wave after wave of those projectiles sailed through the air until the walls were a smoking ruin. With the blast of a horn, Elven columns marched past the twisted steel of the city's former gates. Spreading throughout the city, they began to sack it. All but two of the Sillumiran would cower within their homes that day. As they rooted about for their intended victims, Okarir'tir Sixty-One - brother of the Sohaer and commander of the Sillumiran - raised steel. "I will not let you have my sister," he uttered, and so stepped forth Prince Vytrek, waving down the soldiers around him. Gripping his thanhic-steel spear and his shield, he countered, "So be it." Before the gates did steel meet steel, and only some of the attackers paused to spectate the duel. The pair traded a fury of blows; two strikes of the prince's spear landed true, thanhic-steel piercing the Okarir'tir's flesh upon his forearm and at his flank. A counterattack of the Sillumir's battleaxe split the prince's shield, striking beneath his bracer and drawing blood. Enraged, Vytrek shifted a foot behind the Haelun'orian's ankle, and a shield bash brought him to the ground. "Van'ayla, 'thill," he uttered, before driving the thanhic-steel weapon down into the Okarir'tir's neck. With the last of his strength did that Sillumir cleave the shaft of the spear in two, before choking out, "Ay... Haelun'or". His body was thrown upon the flames of a pyre in the square, burning bright with Haelun'orian banners. Nearby did Sevrel Valin'dar of Nor'asath meet a Sillumir officer that had dared to resist. The two met, mace against sword, until Sevrel severed his arm in a shower of crimson ichor, staining the faces of all who stopped to spectate. The armless officer was promptly kicked upon the pyre. Steel and flesh melted, his screams giving way to silence. Elsewhere, the Elven soldiers hunted. When they found the former Sohaer Braxus Ni'leya, he too bore steel, and died fighting - pierced by a dozen blades. Unceremoniously was the Sohaer Idendril Elassidil dragged from her hiding place, with no resistance. She too was put to the sword. As smoke rose above Karinah'siol, all fell quiet save for the roaring flames. Gathering their treasure from the vault of Haelun'or, the Elven attackers reformed their columns at the behest of a horn and marched from the emptied city. With thinned lips and stern faces, their commanders bid the last of them on. "Fret not," Prince Vytrek assured the rearguard, marching through the gnarled gates. "This is but the beginning. We shall be back."

The Withering of An Era “Mali-kind is all but tired of cowering behind the quill and paper; we tire of treachery, of vermin and snakes clutching at the strings of a people in need of desperate revitalization. Now is not the time for such; now is the time for blood and steel.” - Ivarielle I, The Silver Princess Morning broke in the Rimeveld, golden rays casting long shadows over Ikur’fiyem. Snow melted beneath its resplendent light, dripping from viridescent branches of pine like rain. Gelid though it was, even the Rimeveld was not immune to the summer thaw, lapping at the northern fringes of Almaris. Rivers ran in torrents, vaulting from their banks in their rush towards the warming sea. Beneath a storm of boots, the roads turned to mud. Elves of the North; from across the Rimeveld they drew together. Steel clanked through the crisp, misted air as the Snow Elves of the Principality of Fenn made their preparations. Formations of Ivae’fenn drilled and marched across its stone-hewn streets, a sea of spears beneath the looming structures of siege engines. Deep in the bowels of the earth, the Dark Elves of the Principality of Nor’asath brought steel to fire, forging blackened ferrum in the heat of their cavernous abode. Elves of the East; riding along the northern road, they came in droves - the freshly forged army of the Silver Princedom, adorned with veterans of wars long past. Though their hooves churned mud, this cavalry rode with that grace only found among the Elves. In their wake came the veteran mercenaries of the Silver Lubba Band, a collection of largely Elves drawn to Ivarielle’s banners with promises not just of gold and glory, but of change. Elves of the West; across forest and plain they had marched - Elves and Adunians of the Crown of Elvendom. With Malin’s precision did they navigate their way north, bearing steel to avenge the blooding unleashed upon them by their Haelun’orian foes in the early days of Almaris. Thus enjoined, the Elven alliance had assembled the strongest host of Malin’s sons and daughters seen in centuries. They were united by common purpose; a common enemy - for gone were the days of paper shields and ink swords. The stagnation that plagued Malin’s halls would end with piercing horns. It would be steel that faced the savageries and injustices of the Haelun’orian rulers, and it would be Ivarielle who would save the High Elven people. If the Haelun’orian Sohaer did not cede the Silver City to its rightful Silver Princess, Ivarielle I, they would march. The Elven host was ready. Their gaze turned southeast. A missive is spread throughout the Dual Principalities, marked by the banner of the Fennic Principality. My fellow Mali - Though our Dual Principalities may be young, several questions of burning import have already been asked of us, and they cannot be left unanswered. In accordance with my pledge to give Mali’fenn and Mali’ker a proper voice, I call upon Prince Zirath of Nor’asath and his Council, the High Council of Fenn, and the Archonic Council of Fenn to join me in deliberation of several diplomatic proposals. A thunderous boom reverberated over the whistling winds of the northern tundra, shaking snow and ice free from their gelid branches of pine. A ball of ferrum sailed through the air. It impacted the bark of a distant tree, its trunk exploding into a thousand splinters; its severed structure fell upon the fresh snows as a blanket of green. The shot was wide. "Again,” commanded the Vigilant of Charity, and another ferrum ball was stuffed into the weapon, alongside its charge. There, amidst the frigid winds of their decades-long blizzard, stood an array of Vigilants - perhaps a dozen, adorned in steel armor and wielding thanhic-steel. Their decorative horns shown prominently. With a second explosion, another ferrum ball erupted from the weapon, striking their target - a nearby altar. Fragments of ice and stone sailed through the air, cracks webbing through its structure. A third shot, and the sacrilegious altar was shattered with a deafening shriek. — Nearby, within the Dual Principalities, Mali milled about their business, hunched over in the thrashing winds as they trudged through snow piled high, gripping lanterns to find their way. Shortly, the deafening winds died down to a hush, and then at last fell silent. Their world grew still for the first time in many years, and curious eyes were drawn to the sky. Lo, the black and churning clouds parted, and rays of sunlight bathed Ikur’fiyem. They illuminated a grateful people. From the Frost Witches, their lands were purified.

Preoccupied by the burdensome tasks that lie ahead as the Snow Elven people recover, it is fitting that delegation is implemented wherever possible, and so a measure of the bloodlines’ ancient power shall be restored to them. It is thus that the Archonic Council is called to formation. Signed, Vytrek Tundrak Prince of Fenn Composition The Archonic Council shall consist of a Saneyir for each Snow Elven bloodline (and Fennic High Elven talonii, Fennic Dark Elven clan, or Fennic Wood Elven seed) considered by the Prince/Princess to be organized and numerous enough to deserve representation. Each bloodline/talonii/clan/seed invited to the Archonic Council shall have their Saneyir appointed by their Archon; this Saneyir must be a member of the bloodline, and can include the Archon themself. The Archonic Council shall include a Saneyir to represent those without a bloodline, to be elected by citizens without a bloodline. The Archonic Council shall also include the High Vigilant of Wyrvun as a Saneyir to give representation to the Order in Fennic Law. The Archonic Council shall be overseen by the Halerir of Fenn. Elections The Saneyir of the Bloodless shall serve one term of four years, whereupon a new election shall be held at least one year in advance of the end of the term. Only citizens of Fenn who do not belong to a represented bloodline/talonii/clan/seed may vote for the Saneyir of the Bloodless, or assume candidacy for the role. Candidacies may be announced at any point until voting begins. The Halerir of Fenn shall be responsible for managing elections. Powers All powers of the Archonic Council are delegated by the Prince/Princess. The Prince/Princess may overrule and/or veto decisions made by the Archonic Council at any time, as well as unilaterally perform the Archonic Council’s duties. The Archonic Council shall, unless overruled, hold authority over the law - to include adding laws, removing laws, modifying laws, and passing judgment over Section 1 of the Legal Code. The Archonic Council shall act as an advisory body to the Prince/Princess on all other affairs of state, and may thus pass decrees urging the Prince/Princess to action on such matters. General Procedure All decisions of the Archonic Council shall be decided by a simple majority vote. Abstentions shall be excluded from the overall count necessary for a majority. Each Saneyir shall possess one vote. One individual shall not possess more than one Saneyir role. The Halerir shall possess no vote, and be tasked with mediating discussion and calling annual meetings. The Halerir may not also simultaneously be a Saneyir. Any Saneyir may call for the Archonic Council to convene, and the Halerir must convene them within one year of the call. A Saneyir may be sacked by their Archon at any time. Each Saneyir may appoint another of their bloodline/talonii/clan/seed to temporarily stand in their stead for a given meeting, to exercise the full powers of a Saneyir. The temporary stand-in for the Saneyir of the Bloodless must be qualified as a candidate for the post. If a Saneyir fails to show at more than one meeting in a single four year term, even when appointing a temporary stand-in, it shall be at the discretion of the Halerir to dismiss them from the role on the grounds of neglect. Absent a Saneyir or stand-in, a bloodline/talonii/clan/seed shall have no vote. A tied vote shall be settled by duel, subject to the laws on dueling, whereby each voting bloc shall appoint one of their Saneyiran as a champion. If a voting bloc cannot come to a majority decision on who the bloc’s champion shall be, they forfeit. Legal Procedure The Halerir (or an appointed deputy if unavailable) shall preside over trial procedure. Trials before the Archonic Council shall see the offended party list the alleged crimes of the accused and make their case, to be followed by a defense from the accused. Evidence may be presented, and Saneyiran may ask questions of prosecutors, defendants, and/or witnesses as they see fit. When prepared, the Archonic Council shall openly debate, before voting upon a verdict. Thereafter, the Archonic Council shall debate punishments. When ready, a Saneyir may propose a complete list of punishments via motion, to then be voted upon by the Archonic Council. If no penal set can pass the vote and gridlock is reached, defined by an hour of debate without resolution, the Halerir may unilaterally enact punishment. The Archonic Council Halerir of Fenn: Sigirath Tundrak II @Harold High Vigilant of Wyrvun: Morael Drakon @Lulah Saneyir of the Tundrak Bloodline: Vacant Saneyir of the Drakon Bloodline: Aroiia Drakon @Sygnus_ Saneyir of the Atmorice Bloodline: Zalerya Atmorice @glassofninjas Saneyir of the Sylric Bloodline: Velatha Sylric @EnderMaiashiro Saneyir of the Tathvir Bloodline: Valerica Tathvir @Mewliet Saneyir of the Ithrandos Bloodline: Sarya Ithrandos @JJosey Saneyir of the Aevaris Talonii: Glynfir Aevaris @CrymsonBlade Saneyir of the Bloodless: Laine @MyNameIsMason

Industrious, methodical, practiced; they worked day and night, though no sun ever shone. Barked orders carried on the frigid winds, the towering arms of wooden cranes at their beck and call. With a discipline that only befit the Mali'fenn, stone after stone was laid forth, cemented by mortar. They worked tirelessly to implement the designs of their High Steward, Sarya Ithrandos. Even as they labored, their Mali'ker compatriots carved out stone, dirt, and ice beneath their feet. Where once there was a small settlement upon the fringes of civilization, there now arose the silhouettes of towers beneath the starless sky, built to withstand the battering winds and snow of the Rimeveld. Gradually, the scars of battle were covered; the work of savage raiders, dark Xionists, and a powerful apparition. The former slain, and the latter driven to the crypts' depths in its wounded state, the Snow Elves had bought much needed time. Their handiwork soon stood complete - a formidable city. Ikur'fiyem, home of the Snow Elves, had been reforged - even amidst the dark onslaught. Thus approaches the time for Mali'fenn and Mali'ker to purify the dual city of its dark assailants.

A Snow Elven prince looks over the missive. "I think not," he swiftly determines, tossing it out into the snow.
