  1. OOC Minecraft Name: Drone414 Timezone: EST Skype: nikoli.araya.bargas Anything you'd like us to know?: I am good at breathing. IC Name: Skale Age: 221 Race: High Elf Gender: Male Alignments: Bouncer at the Standing Inn. Skills: I was once mage, but I've been fighting the voidal corruption that has wracked my body for several decades now. I've been retraining myself in the longsword and dagger, so I offer aid in combat. I also am rather good with tactics and can offer much to a planned battle or even a fun game. Oh! I am a fine rhetorician! Anything you'd like us to know?: Licia suggested learning more of you all and I thought the best way to do so would be via joining.
  2. Azel reads said note, staring down at it in silence. He shakes his head, releasing a sigh.
  3. I can get behind this idea. Obviously, if it's something relatively bad that deserves a longtime ban or even a permanent ban, the warning should go through via a PM (even if it's after the initial banning). Of course, if it's something minor, a ban report should go up or a PM should be sent to the person who's getting banned/reported. The GM's are here to help moderate the server, but they are players just like us and are supposed to follow both server rules and staff rules set for them.
  4. An attitude like this really shoots down what this post is about. Disco isn't here to start drama, but instead point out what people have issues with. I personally agree, communication between the staff and player base should be better. With that being said, communication between staff and staff also needs to be better. If I ask one LM for conformation on something and another says something completely different and both claim to have not spoken to one another on the subject, it's rather difficult.
  5. Still better than beardmancy.
  6. Skale steps forward, placing a hand gently upon the shoulder of Asher before just as softly pushing him back. He focuses on a single horn of The Nightmare Weaker for a moment, before his eyes begin to wander, studying the creature that was once Kknotos intensely. After several seconds of such scrutinizing, his gaze would settle onto the lips of the creature. Skale would then clear his throat before speaking, nodding slowly. "Though that is true, Kknotos. We are the four Horsemen for a reason. We work together to serve our Lord. He may of shown you obvious favor through this sudden transformation, but we are all equals in the eyes of chaos and with that being said, what has to be said is more important than your or my station in the eyes of Ikuras. Can we simply drop this squabble and move on to more pressing matters?"
  7. Skale steps forth after a moment, offering a quick bow to Elindor. He clears his throat as he straightens, opening his mouth to speak. "Greeting Archmage, I am Skale. To put is simply, I've been a member of this Guild since the Fringe, which is not long in the grand scheme of things. But, I intend to take an apprentice and aid our guild in this coming war with the Betrayer. My allies stand beside the Guild, just as I do. Thank you for bringing these truths forward to the public, many must know. Though, I would have a simple request. Crumena has done nothing for this guild for decades. it is time he be replaced with someone more capable. We cannot continue to reserve a spot as an Archemage for one who is incapable of handling the position."
  8. Skale turns as he sees the man enter, then noting the appearance of Virak he frowns. "Asher, go to where the ghoul ate the woman alive." Skale says standing, hurrying out of the room and disappearing down the corridors. He calls back suddenly. "Make sure the Weaver notifies the others!"
  9. A single figure sits alone within the tunnels beneath the Embermoor, writing quickly and diligently. "The ever-present darkness crushes upon the Embermoor this day. With the rumors spreading through the realm of Athera, the threat of war sits visibly upon the horizon for those whom call the Embermoor home, including the likes of the Ikuras Cult. Through my continued vigil of the Embermoor, many have begun to increase their work upon the fortress, as though the threat that has only recently shown itself has scared the likes of the Wraiths and other dark creatures that call this land their home. With that being said, I fear this threat should be taken seriously by all, even us, followers of our Lord, Ikuras. Though we should not jump to conclusions of our places with the looming war, I feel we must discuss how it shall be handled. I call a meeting of our Cult and expect all whom receive this invitation to arrive. If I find it has been ignored, expect consequences and repercussions." The letter is simply signed, Siggourdnbad. Swiftly, birds of various species erupt from the Embermoor, screeching through the night sky as they move towards their intended targets. Within the still halls of the Embermoor, the lone magi turns from the entrance of the tunnel, his gaze falling upon that of The Nightmare Weaver. Slowly the magi lowers the dark hood that covers his head, his crimson, messy locks cascade around his eyes, and hollow cheekbones. With a single nod towards The Nightmare Weaver, Skale would shuffle towards a single chair within the room, sitting upon it and beginning his silent vigil once more. Warning
  10. A lone figure stands atop the Spire of Embermoor, peering out at the surrounding swamp-lands, contemplating the latest news of the apparent war claim. As the sun begins to set, the lone magi would turn his attention from the gnarled and overgrown trees, and instead focus his gaze upon that of the rapidly darkening sky, as well as the sun as it crests the horizon. A smile tugs at his features, his thin lips slowly curling upwards as he witnesses the ever-present spectacle that is the rising and setting sun. As the night descends upon the land, his robe would begin to whip about him as the chill winds of the night begin to blow through the swamp. The magi would remain for only a short time, soon deciding to turn and descend the large tower. As he goes, he would pass by dozens of working undead and the other, much more living creatures that inhabit the desolate land within the Embermoor. Through his descent, the darkly-garbed figure would not cease his thoughts and considerations of this sudden change. With Iblees upon the world, the magi is easily baffled by the choices made by this group. Upon reaching the bottom of the Spire, he'd descend deeper into the Embermoor, moving further and further underground. Slowly the chill leaves his form and instead, is replaced by the heat of the underground world. After many minutes of traveling through the twisting and twirling underground world, he would come upon a lone room, one he intended to claim for his allies. Shortly after getting comfortabl, birds of various species would be sent out, all with a note tied firmly to their legs. "If they choose to comes, then chaos will descend faster than the Betrayer intended..."
  11. ((Agreed, Global Moderators who frequent high elvish RP or who will aid in the defense will be bias towards their side. Allowing a Global Moderator who is not bias to either side would be much better.))
  12. Skale stands silently a few steps away from the entrance to the occupied room, taking several deep breaths as he prepares himself for the soon to follow introductions as well as questioning, as surely the cultist will be questioned. He steps up to the doorway/archway and peers inside. The red-head would clear his throat upon entering, smoothly executing a slight but swift bow before once more straightening. Skale would pause for a moment, taking account of all those in attendance before turning towards his left and shuffling forwards towards the far wall, behind a majority of those who'd arrived sooner. The magi would pause at the wall, appearing to study it for a moment, his eyes glancing across the surface before leaning gently against the wall, sliding his hands within his large sleeves. His robe, gray and black in color, easily melt into the surrounding stone (if any) as well as the shadows of the back area. He'd smile to any whom look his way, offering gracious bows to older mages as well as long time acquaintances or friends before settling into stillness and silence, taking the form of what could be a colorful statue. Hmmm, it's been awhile since I've seen many of these faces. Probably won't receive any warm welcomes, either. The mage's thoughts filter through his mind.
  13. ((No, strictly the Grove.))
  14. Why am I serving Ikuras? A pale elf stares silently into the depths of Embermoor, nose crinkled in disgust as the scent of the swampy terrain wafts up into his nostrils. Other than obvious disgust, the pale, pink eyes are clouded with confusion, emotions swirling within the young elf's thoughts as a hurricane would blow across the mainland, gathering power and growing chaotic with each passing second. Through the disgust, through the hate, the sadness, and the confusion, the mali's lips pull back into a tight smirk, encompassing the lower half of his face as he stares forth, continuing to remain still. His robed arms are pulled across his torso, masking the faint, up and down movements of his chest as he breaths the rancid air, his only movements. After an extended period of time, the robed mage bursts into action, striding forward at a quick pace as if he had suddenly remembered where he was and why he was there. As he moves through the dark swamp, his eyes move back and forth, seeming to memorize the twisting roots, the gnarled bark, and the consistent drip drip drip of whatever pale fluid dropped from above. Though he is quick in pace, his movements are measured, each step appearing more important than the last, his resolve building and confusion lifting from his pale gaze. What could of been hours pass as the dark form continues it's trek through the swamp, seeming to walk in every direction at once, never faltering, never slowing. Eventually the mage stumbles upon a dimly lit clearing, a single, hunched over form in the center, surrounded by corpses ranging from bunnies to people unlucky enough to enter this dark clearing. All the bodies, whether man or beast, have been torn into viciously, as if a creature of the wild had eaten it. The robed mage stops upon seeing the hunched over form, grasping gently at the dark hood that covers his head. He pulls it back, crimson hair falling forth like blood from a fresh wound, covering his face and dropping to his frail shoulders. Simultaneously, the hunched over man slowly straightens, his silvery-gray hair reflecting the dim lighting of the clearing as he turns, his cherry-red eyes meeting those of the red-headed albino. For a long while, the two say nothing, simply staring one another down, both regret and excitement building up in the air between the two. "You know why I am here..." The red-head begins, his voice low, barely above a whisper, fingers twitching as he speaks. "Indeed I do, young Kibolroch. or should I simply call you Skale? Though I fear you were sent by your superiors for a job far beyond your level of skill." The elder man pauses for a moment, bringing his palm to his chin as he rests his head against it. "How does the phrase go? They sent a boy to do a man's job?" He nods, smirking at the pale mage across the clearing. "Is that so?" Skale asks, various fingers twitching sporadically as the two continue to stare one another down. "Are you sure it is not you, lacking the proper skill?" With a proper challenge issued from the younger phobist, the two begin to circle one another, mirroring their movements perfectly. A small ball of flame, no larger than a marble burns to life a foot from the red-head's chest, slowly gaining size. As this happen, the elder begins to chant dark words, the area seeming to grow colder and darker. A frown forms on Skale's face as he witnesses a sudden change in the space beside the elder's head, a tear slowly forming as a shard- obsidian in color - is summoned forth. Skale looks back to his own ball of fire, the burning orb had already grown to the size of a plump apple when the shard is sent forth. The red-head grunts in agitation as he stops moving and watches the movements of the spell, the shard slamming into a nearby tree and slowly dissipating. Skale looks back to the elder mage, waving his arm quickly in his direction, appearing to backhand the air itself. Upon the action, the orb soars across the clearing, slamming into the arm of the still mage, setting his robe alight. The elder moves about frantically, patting at his burning arm, but failing to put it out as it spreads across the entirety of his extremity and to part of his torso. The expression of the once proud mage grows to that of fear as he drops to his knees and forces his arm and part of his torso into the murky swamp water. Tears run down his face, mixing with sweat. Skale smirks as the man drops, moving forward quickly. The red-head pulls back his sleeve slowly, licking his lips as he takes a deep breath, fingers beginning to twitch crazily once more. As he moves up to the trembling mage still on the floor, he brings his hand down towards his head just as the elder looks up, pure hatred in his eyes. "You are of Ikuras.... There is no escape..." Skale's smirk becomes strained and eventually curls down into a frown, part of him still debating this course of action. "Vireundzord al’gathan zu’Ikuras, o’kree do calfax." The words are slowly forced from his throat, Skale's form beginning to tremble as he goes through with his task. After a moment, he takes a single deep breath and begins to regain his composure, looking down to meet the eyes of the now mad-man, a frown once more creasing his face. "This shouldn't of happened..." He says softly. "You brought this upon yourself.... You are weak, you are foolish, you are not capable of representing our lord, Ikuras." He turns his head away once more. A soft thud can be heard as the madman's body drops to the swampy floor, beginning to convulse and shake as he fights to regain his sanity. Skale looks back after only a moment, not capable of listening to the struggle as he slowly unsheathes a dagger from his belt, kneeling low. He pulls the elder's head back and forces the dagger's point into his neck, inches below the ear. Slowly but surely, he carves a long wound across the neck, creating a permanent smile whilst slitting the throat of the already dying man. The red-head wipes his dagger free of blood before once more sliding it into it's sheath, pulling his hood up as he straightens. With a final glance to the now dead mage, he turns away and strides off quickly. With a final look around the clearing, he departs the Embermoor. Why am I serving? Once more, the robed and hooded mage stares into the dark pits of another dreadful location. This time, he forces himself into a dark cave within Uruk lands, uncaring of his surroundings as he moves. After moving safely out of sight from the surface, he lowers his hood, crimson hair spilling forth. He cranes his neck from side to side, his pale gaze once more studying his environment. After a short descent through the cave, dodging around small pools of lava, the mage frowns. "Damn it all.... The dark shaman was not capable of simply bringing us here sooner?" Skale rolls his eyes, once more looking about for signs or clues of the whereabouts of his prize. "Vorrul!" He begins, "Come forth! I do not have the time to wait for the sorry excuse of a monster you are!" With his shout, something changes within the cave. A large pool of lava within the center of the cavern begins to shake and tremble, the small rocks and pebbles around it's surface bounce up and down, coming off the ground and falling back into place, only to repeat the process. What could be taken as a loud yawn is able to be heard, the entire cavern shaking at the dreadful noise. Without warning, the lava's surface is suddenly broken, a huge hand upon a beefy wrist grabs onto the surrounding stone, beginning to pull upward. Another hand breaks the surface and claws further across the stone. Muscles bulge across dark, fiery flesh as a creature made entirely of dark magics claws free from the pool. The massive creature stands straight, it's powerful form making that of Skale's look even smaller as he stares up at the magnificent creature. "Beautiful..." Skale smirks before turning away and getting comfortable as he begins to write. After a moment, a single note is attached to an obese hummingbird. The creature beats it's small wings furiously and soars off, escaping the cave and disappearing into the darkness that is night. Why am I? Skale once more returns to the dark cave after many days, finally word being returned to him. As he descends, he is careful of the lava pools, all of them seeming to of shrunk since his last visit. Hurrying to where he had brought forth the creature known as Vorrul, he sees the massive, burning Olog, but atop his dark shoulders sits the lich, Kraal. The two speak back and forth, it is apparent to Skale that it is nothing but idle chit chat. Upon this realization, a soft sigh escapes the lips of the mage as he drops to his knees. He empties his pack of four vials, each of them containing blood from different people. He also removes a simple brush and begins to paint the blood across the rocky, stone substance, surrounding the now-painted Star of Ikuras, he paints on various sigils and symbols of warding. After a moment, he straightens and stands upon the west side of the star. The lich lowers itself from the shoulders of Vorrul, striding forward and standing at the east, and Vorrul at the south. The three stand deathly silent, no movements and no sound. Eventually, the Lich breaks the silence. As the bony creature begins to chant within the black language, the red-head across from him does the same, forcing the words from his throat. Eventually, the large fiery Olog does the same, realizing he is needed as well. As the three chant in unison, the space before them begins to shift and change, a tear opening up, a strong wind sweeping about the cave, sending rocks and lava alike splashing and smashing about against the walls. The tear grows larger, dark energy spilling forth as a powerful spirit forces its way into the mortal realm, answering the call of his faithful followers. "WHY DO YOU SUMMON ME UPON THE EVE OF MY WAR?!" The spirits roars, not in anger but not in joy, simply crying out over the many whispers and screams of insanity that accompany it's form. The three stare silently at the spirit, Kraal and Vorrul bowing instantly, but Skale stands motionless for a moment, his mind going blank for unknown reason. Eventually he gives a weak bow and clears his throat. "We are here to petition the return of Kknotos, we are weak without him." "Indeed." Kraal chimes in, Vorrul grunting and spitting lava to the floor. "Interesting..." The spirit Ikuras looks to Vorrul, a smile parting it's lip-like things(?) as it seems to caress the creature with his very presence. "The dark shaman has brought forth the very incarnation of war itself." Ikuras turns his attention to Skale, studying the puny cultist. "In an elvish week you shall summon me within the confines of our enemies and we shall wreak havoc and chaos." With that, the spirit enters into it's tear in space itself, the cavern returning to normal as it closes behind it. Skale turns to Kraal and Vorrul, watching the two begin to socialize and speak once more. The mage shakes his head and turns away, gathering his belongings before striding out of the cave, beginning his preparations for the coming task.
  15. Leowarrior, though I don't dislike you and in the past I found your RP rather fun and your OOC attitude great, I don't think you'd make a good ET member. As stated before, you have a play-to-win roleplay style, you tend to powergame your magic, and you can at times, develop a rather nasty attitude, going as far as to make yourself out to be a victim when you are involved with ban reports. With that being said, you tend to show up in ban reports from time to time, more often than the average player. As cool a guy as you are, I don't think you could handle the responsibility that is the event team. -1
  16. Azel stares silently at the form, heads tilted to the side as if in question. After several moments, he simply crosses his arms and moves away. "Q is love and life."
  17. Azel stands silently within his small abode in Ker'lomi, reading the note delivered to him only seconds ago by a young courier. He looks about his bare room, shaking his head softly. "Not much to even protect at this point...." He slips the note into his pack before moving into a second room where his armor is hanging upon a bare, stone wall. He fits it into place and after an hour or so of getting into the armor, he eventually leaves his home, beginning his own duty as a guard.
  18. It wouldn't be abusing the stone arm by using it as a shield. It'll just break if as Dizzy said, it were hit by a blunt weapon, or hit hard enough by a large, sharp weapon. With that being said, I don't think runesmithing or arcane prosthetics are just inherently magics that can be powergamed, but what exactly does this bring to the server that other magics do not? Why get an arcane prosthetic when I can get a runic arm, some weird druidic contraption, or my arm healed in general? What makes this magic a better option? When you actually can fully comprehend other magics, instead of just picking out what is good about them, what is bad about them, and what can be abused about them, you realize it's not as bad as you'd originally think. With that, I don't think this server would overall become better with this add-on implemented, but I don't think it would have any negative effects either.
  19. Soul puppetry is now lacked. Agreed with Lima on this one, this seems to just be something you want to add to advance your own roleplay and increase what you can do both IC and OOC. You're a good dude Hex, but your RP isn't for others. Also! It doesn't matter if the magic is free, going about and actually learning/finding a source of learning is still pushed. It may not be entirely necessary, but it should be done nonetheless.
  20. I have a few questions on arcane puppetry in general. I've been told that the magic is known by very few, so what's the point of adding this on if only a few people can actually experience it in their own RP? Wouldn't it be smarter to actually spread the magic about so everyone can experience it, before actually adding on? Until I get a good idea of why the magic seems to limited, I'm gonna leave a -1. The Dwarves already have a more permanent solution to losing limbs (though it does have to be replaced if it gets worn down or used for extended periods of time). -1
  21. Hey guys, just posted an event team application. If you end up posting +1 and a reply, please upvote it as well! /topic/116081-actor-drone414s-actor-re-application/" rel="nofollow external">https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/116081-actor-drone414s-actor-re-application/

+1s mean nothing, it all depends on how the managers know you and if you are creative enough.

  22. Minecraft name(s): Drone414 Skype ID: nikoli.araya.bargas Time zone: Eastern Standard Time; I understand that if there are too many ET members already in a certain area, I could be denied for time zone alone, but I'd like to point out though I'm in Easter Standard Time, I'm active through most other time zones of the day. And on weekends, I'm fully capable of being on all day and whenever needed. My timezone is in no way an issue for me. Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: I was banned back in around April of 2013 for cybering, when it was a permanent offense. I was allowed back after eight or nine months. The action took place in October/November 2012. Writing this down, though I'm incredibly embarrassed, I can gladly say I am past this point both mentally and emotionally. The banning and initial return to Lord of the Craft has aided in my growth as both a player and a person. Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions?: At one point I applied to the Application Team, but I realized with how active I am, I could dedicate hours a week to just events alone for the server. Holding myself back to only applications, when I have all this time I feel could be better spent for the entirety of the server, not just new faces on the forums. What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present): In the Elder Scrolls game series, I've played the likes of Oblivion and Skyrim (DLC's included). Outside of that, I've played games such as Dishonored, Thief, the Assassins Creed series, and many other fun, parkour RPG's. When I was younger, I also played the Baldur's Gate games series, Dark Alliance I and II. Both of which took place in the Dungeons and Dragon's universe. What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member?: Since the start of my time on the server up until now, I've had two character. Skale, impure High Elf whom is now practicing dark magic as well as void magic. My other character, being on the opposite side of the moral spectrum, Azel, a Mali'ker whom is working towards becoming a Paladin to atone for his brother's sins. The characters have developed from states of basically nothing and continue to evolve. With that being said, if it is for the better of the team and even more important, the server, I would willingly put both characters to the side for the team and aiding in server roleplay and the plot line in general. What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain: This is a hard question to answer, to be quite honest. I have studied up on the server lore for awhile and I could quite easily do events for most, if not all players on the server. I don't really see a need to choose just a specific group for events, as all players would love to experience a fun, dynamic event brought to them at random times. Though if I had to choose a certain form of roleplay, I am very knowledgeable on the magic on the server and I am capable of bringing events in magical ways to all players, whether it be a guild of mages, or a group of Oreners interested in burning a heretical witch. All parties and people should be open to planned or dynamic, random events. What do you believe are key factors for a successful event?: Participation No matter how you look at it, if both the event team member and the involved parties aren't participating, confusion can easily take over, turning a great event to a mediocre event. If an event team member were to possibly plan one out in advance or checked OOC with players to make sure they were willing to actually do an event at the time, it would go a long way. Though, it makes random, dynamic events less.... random, it still will ensure participation. With that being said, checking in advance isn't always necessary. If players don't seem to be enjoying themselves, simply end the event quickly and move on. Make sure also to always make an event fun for a majority of the people taking part. If it's not fun for them, they won't walk away with a good experience or memories. Organization This is one of the more important factors. Though it's hard to place one of others, a properly organized event can go from good to great and eventually to magnificent if all involved are willingly participating and following what was originally planned out. Though not all events can be planned, willing to reorganize ones self (the ET member) and continue going on, keeping a level head and working hard to keep things in order, events will be both amazing and remembered by the players involved. Keep it Dynamic At times, this will be rather difficult. To some players, they require events to be at random or follow a certain path they'd prefer to be considered 'dynamic' but that doesn't mean an event team member cannot work hard to make events fun, exciting, and full of memories for all those that take part. Non-dynamic events are boring events, that have very little effect on people both in and out of character. Be Respectful and Responsible All parties in an event must be respectful of what the event team member and others involved are trying to do. Forcing their own opinions/thoughts OOC into roleplay for their own sake, possibly even at the extent of others, is unfair and disrespectful. With that being said, event team members need to be responsible and also realize that the work they do is for others, and must work towards giving other players fun and exciting events. Overall, an event team member is crucial in events, whether it be for a single person who he just so happened to wander upon, or a great party he decided to throw an surprise event for. If an event team member fails to do so, he does not only fail that group, but also the server. All people have to work hard for fun, exciting roleplay but as a member of the team, you work more towards fun for others, no longer worried about just yourself and your own roleplay. When was the last time you saw a event?: The Freedom of Ikuras event, ran by Watyll and his cult of people. It was a great, player ran event that was lots of fun. What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing?: I am available for many hours of the week, and from past work experience, I have lots of knowledge on organizing and working towards a goal as a member of a team. With that knowledge, organizing an event and working with other team members would be a strength I have. As said earlier in the app, I'm very knowledgeable on the lore as when I'm bored, I tend to open up links to lore and read up. There is a lot to work with that has been forgotten and I'm very excited to do such a thing. Why do you want to be part of the ET?: There is so much about this server that is amazing, exciting, and just a great thing to experience. With that being said, I wish to give others wonderful memories, exciting and dynamic roleplay, and fun development for both OOC and IC. This to me, is the best way I can give back to this server. Putting in all my available free time into something I love, aiding the community and staff, would be just a fantastic thing to do. Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Ouity, not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon. The Mysterious Chest Small Event (3 people): The event would have to be for a group of people already undergoing their own roleplay. It would simply follow a small group of people, whether it being in a household, a dungeon hunt, or even just traveling down a road. During said event, this group would somehow stumble upon a mimic. The point of this event is that it can happen just about anywhere, as long as those nearby are willing to take part. Obviously the ET member in charge of the event (we'll just go with me) would somehow make it known that this little baddy is nearby. Say a sign for example reading: "A mysterious chest (or other household appliance) seems to have appeared from nowhere." For those of you who do not know, a mimic is a creature who takes on the form of an object such as a chest, to lure individuals to it. When they touch it, said individual(s) would become stuck to it, as the mimic is a sticky, glob like creature. Once they become aware they are trapped, the mimic would then make itself known, growing tendrils that could possibly form into fists, that it would use to bludgeon it's prey. Once the mimic has trapped it's prey, the party would somehow have to defeat it. In the case of adventurers, this could be done simply by killing the creature with weapons, or in the case of just household staff or a family, it could be much more interesting. Either way, whoever is taking part in the event, would have to work together to kill or chase away the bane of adventurers. As a reward if able to kill the Mimic, upon dying it will melt away and in it's place would be a chest, filled with a bit of minas (100-200) and a few items (maybe some weapons in the case of an adventuring party, or some jewels). Terror of the Sea Medium Event (5-10 people) This event would be for a group of five to ten players, who roleplay out at sea rather often mainly. It can be for any race, any age, and any player, as long as they enjoy roleplaying a character who spends a good amount of time at sea. I am aware that pirating and the likes is actually becoming rather popular, so creating an event for it seems like a fun idea. This event would follow a group of pirates, sailors, or merchants at sea, who just so happen to enter into the territory of an Aquatic Dragon. This event would start with the ET member playing as a grizzled old sailor, in some bar or tavern (as sailors and pirates do tend to enjoy those I hear) telling a story of a lost ship that had sank somewhere in a hidden cove on the coast of the Fringe. The party or parties involved would then hear the story, and after hearing said tale and doing their best to gather more bits of information from anyone among the tavern, they would set out to search for said hidden cove to find the treasure. As they search, they would find clues left behind by the event team member, aiding them. But watch out! To get to the cove they have to travel through a dangerous group of mountains, the black mountains for that matter. The mountains would be crawling with mobs, allowing the players to do a bit of PvE before eventually finding their way through. Once safe on the other side, near the coast, they would begin to find bits and pieces of a ruined ship on the shore. As they would follow the growing amounts of debris, they would eventually come across the cove, the entrance hidden by some unknown means. Once the party enters into the cove, the hull of the ship would be seen, sticking up from the water. The hull would be horribly battered, holes would cover the ship in various places. Under close inspection, a larger hole would be seen on the ship, which those partaking in the event would have to get to. They'd be able to easily climb upon the ship, but as they do so, an echoing noise, akin to a low grumbling can be heard echoing through the cove. It vanishes just as suddenly as it appeared, but after only a few seconds, an Aquatic Dragon would then burst from the water! The parties goal would be to slay the creature to get to the treasure! Considering Aquatic Dragons are such powerful foes, territorial, and have some weaknesses that can be exploited, I feel they would be a good choice as a minor antagonist for this event. The party/parties would be rewarded with more booty than any pirate could ever ask for! There are dozens of amazing creatures being ignored and not used in roleplay, the Aquatic Dragon being one of them. I would love to be able to use older, more abandoned creature for events as it would bring more to the server than simple PvE events. The Laughing Skull and.... What? Large Event (20+ people) (This was edited from the original idea, as it required a lot of planning and could easily fail) Following the original idea of the original idea, trying to keep this as PvE and hack and slash free as possible, I've decided on something that could actually have a large-scale impact on the server as a whole. All throughout the server, skulls with burning green flames within their eye sockets would begin to appear, laughing obscenely. Near the sight, riddles or puzzles would be placed nearby to shut the skulls up. Once a skull is made to be silent, the once-laughing bonehead would begin to speak, emitting a prophecy of some sort, detailing the opening of a dark gate. At this point in the event, those who've failed to silence a skull may be able to hear more about it, or continue their endeavors to do the silencing. Whether they keep working or find information, more and more skulls would need to be silenced. With each skull silenced, another puzzle piece of the prophecy would become heard and spread. Once enough of it is spread, a location would be pin-pointed and those willing to become involved would follow the trail or go to where the location is described. A dark, decrepit sight of ruins would be found (cliche I'm sorry). After further exploring the ruins, anything relatively dark could be found there. From dark tomes of forbidden magics, to the remains of the dead. Now... A lot of things can happen from here, it just depends what's going on with the server. For example, with the freeing of Ikuras, I know Watyll has a lot in store for that. This could possibly introduce some knowledge on Ikuras? An explanation of the magic? Or maybe this can have a little something to do with other dark mages? A new cult? Or possibly even the introduction of a new Daemon who could be instrumental in a later time! This event is meant to be both funny and flexible, being able to be used anytime on the server, whilst staying away from the traditional hack and slash. Of course, some PvE or emote combat, possibly even PvP can be put into this event, it's supposed to be able to work without it, and instead take on the feel of a mystery, both in solving it and being rewarded information that can aid in character as well as server development. How long do you plan to stay in the ET?: As long as I will be allowed to stay on. Being in my senior year of high school, all of my credits complete, I am open to roleplaying and doing event almost all hours of the day. I would not intend to quit anytime soon. Tell me a joke: Q: What is Bill Clinton's favorite card game? A: Poker.
