    Who do we communicate with for land use within Oren? I don't think the Emperor would give himself more work but I could be wrong.

      Depend what kinda of land we are talking about Temp, you mean like Titled land that would be the High Chanelloer or the Emperor. If your talking about homes shops, farms and so on that would be the Grand Chamberlain or the High treasurer.

    War chants, obscenities and the constant screaming of, "White Rose, White Rose!" Fill the White Rose camp and it's surroundings. For what felt like days Temp stood in front of the Decurion's tents his expression hidden beneath a helm. He'd stood at attention, his hands placed atop the pommel of a longsword, and with his neck arched, staring to the mountain side. With recent events, he'd wanted nothing more than battle. He'd wanted bloodshed and the downfall of the Elves, nothing sounded more pleasing than purging the entire mountainside. He'd simply stared to the Elven settlement, motionless, waiting for orders.

    ((Assuming this is in Arethor)) Along with several other Roses, Temp approaches the notice board. For a brief moment he fans through the various postings and halts at the particular note. For a brief moment he drums his fingers along his throat guard, pondering the possibility of the man's value. He turns to the others and extends an arm, "Oi! Any o' ye' familiar with this eh.." Turns back to the notice and reads off the name, "Rae'iri Bloodcrest, person?" For a few moments the huddle speaks among itself, the general outcome, "no." Nodding slowly he turns back to the board and begins to write a note, he then pins the note under the notice and turns aside directing the men off. The note reads: If you have value, and are willing to risk your life for Oren, might I suggest the White Rose? Yes, THE White Rose, the scary 'kill everything in sight.' people. We aren't quite as mean as suggested. You'd be given food, shelter, and in time, assuming you prove yourself, good gear. -Temp Thersist.

    Temp Thersist along with several other roses approach the various announcement boards around New Arethor. At each board several muffled thuds are heard, followed by the petty chatter of the Roses. Upon closer inspection a rather large poster as well as a note have been pinned to each of boards. The poster is as follows: The note reads: Citizens and non-citizens of Oren! It has been brought to our attention that various rebellious attempts are in the works and to be quite blunt, we WILL NOT stand for this pathetic insubordination. Disrespecting the Creator, the Emperor, or the various hands of the Emperor (Knight Orders and such.) will be punished, harshly.

    I'm fine with all the sex nonsense gone, I don't see a point in it. There are websites and games for that, LOTC is not one of them. But the violence, I don't directly understand why it's being... "nerfed." It may cause some mass confusion as the line for violence is pretty blurred.

    Would it be possible to adjust the violence thing to: Only acceptable when all directly involved and observing agree and feel comfortable with the RP. I can understand not having excessive gore and blood spew, but removal of parts, such as nails, without graphic detail could still be acceptable, right?

      Perhaps you mean hypocrisy, Drelik. I must confess I have little idea as to what a 'hippocracy' is - I'm assuming it either has something to do with the ancient Greek physician Hippocrates or is the form of government lorded over by hippos.

    Temp sits atop the trenches dug outside the Teutonic holding, a smirk across his face. As the sun rose, the smirk only got wider. "They call us improper soldiers, and bad mouthed us uncontrollably." He turns and spits, "What a damned joke."

    This is OOC, like the last what... 5 posts? BAH, anyway. My character isn't racist. However, he dislikes most people. This is a tempered mentality. It isn't something that simply.. "Poofed" itself into existence. I personally, didn't hop on here and say, "Huh.. Lets be a jerk to the Elves, YEA that'll be fun," and I still don't do that. Temp's hatred for nearly everyone is brought on by the general disgust for those of the Order. We walk into town, people make snide remarks, and generally talk trash. When we go on patrol, it's extremely common for people to attack us. To be blunt, everyone seems to have this "White Rose are vile villainous demons," mentality. I will admit, we tend to be pretty harsh, but what would you expect of a militant organization? On top of that, one hated without distinct reason? We are harsh, not because it amuses us. The Order demands respect, when that fails, it demands fear. Which is why people act the way they do now. They do not truly comprehend us, they hate/fear us. On an OOC level, we don't bother anyone. We keep to our little huddle, and give petty input on ocassion. Others that know little to nothing of us, spread rumors. We've heard Elves give trade off IC about how we get some sexual thrill out of killing Elves, how we're vile beings that do what we do simply because we can, but we only leave camp when ordered by the Emperor or when harassed. It's just how we do things, and for whatever reason it's brought us a lot of hate. A final word though, this OOC and IC hate doesn't bother us in the slightest. We find it amusing, and thrive on it so please, carry on.

    The day had been generally relaxing. There had been no screaming, shouting, or brawling within the keep. For once, Temp had enjoyed fully relaxed sleep. Unlike most mornings, he actually had the opportunity to sit down in the messhall and enjoy a warm breakfast. For most of the morning, he simply relaxed in the messhall, a book "glued," to his finger tips. For a few brief hours, it felt as though Temp had been back home. Not too many people about, generally quiet. The only annoyance was a cricket or bird. Finishing the book, labeled "Medical Fundamentals," he slaps it shut then slides it into one of the leather bags dangling from his belt. For a brief moment he simply stares to the table, a smile slowly forming on his face. Temp stands from the table, takes a step to the side, then slides the chair back into it's place. Nodding, he turns to the doorway and heads out, his hands behind his head and whistling cheerfully. As he leaves the keep, he hears Adeon shouting, something regarding Mathus, Filth, and Daughter. Almost immediately the smile fades. Temp lets out a sigh, unclips a throwing axe, and approaches the gate, idly rolling the axe in his palm. Ascending the stairs to see what nonsense had occured, he eyes Adeon and "The Shadow Man." Approaching the two, his view shifts to Ocerea, a cringe immediately forming on his face, "What's this about...?"

    I remember the good ol' days when people actually talked about why things occured, and if they disagreed, it was a simple shrug then walking off. Now it's endless whining and pulling others into the situation to justify one's end. Strange, I was taught that people mature as they age.

      If I were debating an argument, or looking for support regarding an argument, yes it would be. This was a simple statement, over a broad subject. And to be entirely blunt, I don't really care about perceptions on the matter. It was one of those "I'm bored," posts.

      People still do that and people still don't. People used to and people don't. It's easy to only recognise some posts but I assure you our community still has those that care for an input and those that don't, just as it used to. We were never angels, and we're still not.

    I'm cool with the proposed plan, and once the playerbase gets to know the staff, they will begin to respect and trust them much more.

    Personally, I am not a fan. I find it difficult to locate serious RP, and to be honest, I just can't take it as seriously as I could a permanent map. It feels a little pointless to me.
